Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2054 Stepping Onto the Path of Cultivation Again

Chapter 2054  Stepping Onto the Path of Cultivation Again

The local power struggle that he had ended up causing to erupt by accident aside, Xuan Hao was far more focused on Lu Dongli and how she was handling the vast quantity of information that had essentially been forced into her head after the illusion had come to an end… and outside of clearly appearing far more mature than she had in the past, he didn't really see that much of a change when it came to her personality. Understandable considering how most of the illusion had been spent with her cultivating in seclusion.

Then again, this was what he had intended with the illusion in the first place, as the goal was to test how she handled her unique physique and the pain that would come along with cultivating this kind of physique. All to see if it would even be possible for her to handle the pain that she would inevitably have to endure before reaching the Profound Immortal Realm where she became strong enough to handle the cold qi from her physique and wouldn't suffer any adverse effects from it as it reached completion.

Still, even though he felt confident that she would be able to reach the Profound Immortal Realm or the Celestial Immortal Realm in the future with the strong willpower she had displayed during the illusion. Especially at her last moment before dying inside the illusion. He didn't want to be the one to force her onto the path of cultivation after what she had gone through and instead decided to wait until she herself decided to step onto the path of cultivation.

Even if this meant he had to wait a bit, he didn't mind and felt it would be better if she made this choice on her own without any outside interference. After all, stepping onto the path of cultivation even after what she had gone through inside of the illusion he had placed her inside of was a display of her powerful will to overcome the challenge that she hadn't managed to overcome in the past.

After all, in her eyes, she hadn't experienced any illusion back then but had instead lived out her life normally after obtaining a mysterious cultivation manual that set her onto the path of cultivation before seemingly going back in time to the day where she first stepped onto the path of cultivation after she died.

Of course, something like that was impossible, as going back in time meant one had to go against the flow of the river of time- or that was at least what he had guessed with his elementary understanding of the Dao of Time when it came to the possibility of time travel.

But the mere thought of going against the entire river of time was beyond terrifying, as one would need to have the power to resist the entire river to do so, a kind of pressure that would likely instantaneously reduce a someone at the Venerable Realm to dust the second they attempted to do so.

In fact, outside of someone in the Venerable Realm attempting to go against the river of time to travel to the past, anyone who could perceive the river of time could do something like that. Only, they wouldn't fare much better, as only death would await them if they tried to do something like that.

For someone to go against the river of time, Xuan Hao simply couldn't imagine what kind of power was needed; thus, he felt it was impossible.

As for viewing the past… That might be something that was possible if one's comprehension of the Dao of Time was strong enough.

Pondering the Dao of Time on his own as he thought about how Lu Dongli viewed the experience she had gone through, he found time passing by relatively quickly as day soon turned into night and everyone in the Lu Family Household retired for the day. Only a few guards stationed around the mansion grounds to keep out any intruders. All of them having at least reached the Peak of the Qi condensation with a few even reaching the Foundation Establishment Realm. Showing how strong the Lu Family was to be capable of utilizing Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators as guards.

Then again, it was impossible for someone at the Foundation Establishment Realm to discover someone at the Land Creation Realm unless the other party wanted to be seen. Allowing Xuan Hao to walk around like he owned the place even late at night as his thoughts were occupied with the Dao of Time and only a tiny bit of his divine sense locked on Lu Dongli waiting for her to step onto the path of cultivation.

And as he was pondering over the Dao of Time wandering around the empty garden of the Lu Family Estate that only had a few servants running through it at this time of the night, inside her room, Lu Dongli found a comfortable spot on her bed to sit down in a lotus position as she thought about the future.

Even though part of her didn't want to start cultivating again as she knew what kind of pain cultivating would bring once she started, she also understood that only by cultivating would she be able to ensure the stability of her family in the future.

Not to mention, she didn't want to be the first one to die of old age in the future. After all, though her mother was older than her, she was also a Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator and could at least live for another hundred years. The same with her brother, who would also reach the Foundation Establishment Realm in the future and even had hope of reaching the Core Formation Realm like her father. Pushing his lifespan all the way up to three hundred.

As for her father… Although he was by far the oldest, he still had over a hundred years left and had managed to touch the edge of the Nascent Soul Realm before she had set off in search of an opportunity to reach the Domain Lord Realm in her past life. Not just her father, but she also remembered that her mother should also have somehow managed to reach the Core Formation Realm back then. All thanks to the vast quantity of cultivation resources that fell into her hands after she had broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm and accidentally turned her family into the strongest force below the royal family clan.

In other words, if she chose not to cultivate, there was not just a very real chance she would not just be the first to die of old age in her family but also prevent her mother and father from progressing like they had in her previous life.

Although part of her felt unwilling to admit it, she didn't want to be the reason why her parents and brother didn't advance their cultivation as much as they had ended up doing in her previous life before she had returned to the past.

Because of this, after hesitating for the better part of the night over what to do, she ultimately chose to once again step onto the path of cultivation. Only this time around, she wanted to go further than she had gone in the past, she wanted to successfully reach the Domain Lord Realm that she had failed to breakthrough in the past- no, not just the Domain Lord Realm, she wanted to go even further than that!

Feeling as the bottleneck to the First Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm was easily broken through with little to no effort on her part thanks to the experience she had of entering the Qi Condensation Realm in her past, she didn't dare relax in the slightest as she fully prepared herself for the cold qi that would soon surge through her veins and spread throughout her body…

Whoosh~

And as she fully prepared for the pain that came as the cold qi surged forth following her breakthrough to the Qi Condensation Realm, she found herself somewhat surprised, as the pain she experienced was weaker than what she remembered going through when she had broken through to the Qi Condensation Realm in the past and first encountered the cold qi that surged through her body.

Not just that, but the limitations and restrictions from the cold qi also seemed far milder than she recalled.

Not to say that there was no pain, it was just that she was used to it and had the state of mind to pay close attention to the pain she was feeling and the effects that the cold qi had on her body.

However, though she was surprised by this unexpected turn of events, it was somewhat expected, as she guessed it had to do with her past experience when it came to dealing with the cold qi and pain. Maybe an unexpected benefit to returning to the past was that she started with a greater mastery over the cold qi…
