Watching how quickly the little group of friends got used to the sudden change in their environment, Xuan Hao couldn’t help seriously suspecting that they had already encountered a similar situation in the past. After all, considering how deadly spatial passages were on the fragmented continent, there was no way they would be this calm and relaxed knowing they would have to go through one. If anything, they should have been panicking about the situation and trying their best to escape from the small space he had sealed the group inside of alongside the entrance to the spatial passage on top of the central spire of the ancient cathedral-

"Let’s get going! Who knows, this might be some illusion where the way out disappears if we hesitate to enter for too long!"

"Ah! I remember those damnable formations too! My family used that kind of illusion formation to test the younger generation of my family. Back then, I ended up lingering around for too long and ended up being disqualified. The beating I took from my parents later because of that failure... I still remember to this day!"

But instead, what he saw was the group of four eagerly charged forth towards the spatial passage without the slightest bit of hesitation. Barely giving him enough time to react and attach part of his divine sense to the group so he would be able to follow them and see where they ended up and if the passage itself was a death trap.

The entire sequence of events left him wondering if they had forgotten about the death of their friend less than a few minutes earlier, but then again, it could also just be their way to mask the fear they felt deep down.

No matter, he got what he wanted from this useful little group who not only helped him understand how those crystals worked, but now also charted a safe path forward for him. Not that the group of four were aware of this fact, as they found themselves following the ancient spatial passage deeper into the ancient city center. Moving through countless spatial layers and restrictions in the process before finally coming to a stop at the very heart of the ancient city center. Confirming that the spatial passage was safe to go through.

The only somewhat worrying thing about the entire thing was the fact that getting out of the ancient city center would be impossible without another similar spatial passage as the one before him only went in one direction and going back the same way would also mean he would have to manually break the countless spatial restrictions that the spatial passage moved through.

Something that would essentially make going back through the spatial passage no different from him just carving out a new path out of the ancient city center.

Even this in some sense meant that there was a good chance that he wouldn’t make it out of the twenty ninth floor of the tower with the things he had managed to pick up along the way, he felt it would be worth it if he could get his hands on the inheritance that should be located somewhere within the core of the ancient city center. Knowing from what little he had seen of the ancient city center so far, that whoever had once been in control of this city center was undoubtedly someone who wasn’t just powerful, but also had a terrifying comprehension of both the Dao of Space and the Dao of Formations. Something clear from how the ancient city center had been hidden for millions of years.

If he wasn’t wrong, the other party’s comprehension of the Dao of Space and the Dao of Formations should have both surpassed the Perfection Realm and reached the Origin Realm... And not just that, but from the formation that remained seemingly omnipresent throughout the ancient city center and kept the space stable and ensured no damage could be done to the ancient structures found throughout the ancient city center, it was clear that this ancient figure had far surpassed someone who had just stepped into the Origin Realm in the two Daos and had even begun merging them together to the point where the two had begun blending together with one another.

And with this in mind, Xuan Hao retracted his divine sense from the group of four who now found themselves at the very heart of the ancient city center before he himself took a step forward and entered the spatial passage. Making sure to observe the surrounding flow of space as he travelled through the spatial passage to try and glimpse some insight from the profound abilities of the creator.

Unfortunately, the abilities of the creator were a bit too amazing.

Amazing to the point where he couldn’t understand much of how everything worked.

As for the Dao of Formations involved in those restrictions the spatial passage passed through... Sorry... His comprehension of the Dao of Formations was nowhere near comparable to his comprehension of the Dao of Space, so he was left even more puzzled by those restrictions that seemingly perfectly blended with the spatial passage and became part of it while at the same time not being part of it.

The entire thing was confusing enough to make his head hurt as he forced himself to ignore those troublesome restrictions and instead only focus on the Dao of Space. Comprehending the Dao of Formations could be left for later when he had already reached the Origin Realm in the Dao of Space.

"Such a large palace! If we aren’t inside some illusion but instead ended up stumbling upon some hidden passage, that palace is bound to be filled to the brim with treasures!"

"You don’t say so. Ever since moving through that spatial passage, I had a feeling that we aren’t trapped in some illusion but instead ended up stumbling on a treasure during our esca- Ehm! Planned retreat from the spire."

"Hehe, this might be our chance to reach the Void Integration Realm in a single step and become true powerhouses!"

And as he found himself exiting on the other side of the spatial passage, he unsurprisingly found himself running into the group of youths he had essentially forced to explore the path ahead for him.

Maybe because he was feeling somewhat bad over how he had used this group of youths three times already with one of them even having died in the process, he decided to hide himself to avoid an awkward encounter and instead made his way past the group that had already begun discussing how to best enter the large palace complex located at the very heart of the ancient city center.

Different from him, who just entered through the front door or rather gate that had been left open, those four feared potential traps or formation and instead ended up entering the palace complex in a rather unique manner. Climbing through a window a dozen or so meters off the ground.

The entire process looked comical to say the least, as there was a flight restriction in place that would make it difficult for anyone below the Void Integration Realm to fly within the palace complex. Forcing the group of four to awkwardly climb up the side of the outer palace they had chosen to infiltrate.

What made it even more awkward for the group was the fact that they clearly had no experience climbing and ended up awkwardly wiggling around as they attempted to find somewhere to grab onto.

To be honest, the entire situation also made Xuan Hao seriously doubt the intelligence of the four youths, as the restriction placed on them was only regarding flight. Given their strength at the Void Monarch Realm, it would be easy to just jump to the window they planned on infiltrating the palace complex through.

Let alone a few dozen meters, even if the window was a few thousand meters off the ground, it would be easy to reach for a Void Monarch Realm cultivator even if they couldn’t fly.

Yet... These four had chosen such a unique approach that it made Xuan Hao keep his attention on the bunch even after he began sensing danger emerging up ahead from the deeper part of the ancient palace complex.

It even made him ignore some of the spiritual herbs and other treasures he might have picked up along the way to bring back out for the sect to instead keep an eye on the group as they snaked their way up the outer wall of the palace complex. Only shifting his attention elsewhere after the tumbled in through the window and officially entered the palace complex.
