Examining the hidden quest again for a few minutes, he quickly redeemed the two rewards. Watching as a simple unadorned book with the simple title [Hundred Arts] written somewhat crookedly on the cover and a mysterious elongated crystal shimmering with countless small points of light that made it look like an entire galaxy was contained within it.

The sheer discrepancy between the two was jarring to say the least, as one looked like a priceless treasure while the other looked like some random old book picked up from a road stall.

Still, the mention of the Saint Realm within the reward section of the hidden quest made it clear that this seemingly worthless old book was far more valuable than it let on... And as he decided to turn the first page and peek inside, he soon enough realized just how correct this guess was. Discovering that the book didn’t just contain information on the Saint Realm that different professions could step into upon reaching a certain comprehension of their chosen profession path, but instead, it contained a detailed inheritance of the hundred arts leading all the way up to the Saint Realm.

Not only would this be of immense use to the sect that essentially only had three profession inheritances reaching the Saint Realm, but it would also allow the sect to gain knowledge on the countless professions that had long since died out in the current day and age. Allowing the Star Shattering Sect to truly start living up to the name of an ancient hidden sect.

The excitement of the book of a hundred arts and the countless benefits it would bring to the sect, Xuan Hao was understandably far more interested in the Stellar Dao Fragment, as it was something that would be useful in increasing his own strength while at the same time also giving him a chance to comprehend some more obscure Daos that would normally be difficult to encounter.

Unfortunately, as he was in the process of carving out his first dao rune, he would have to wait until he broke through to the Star Creation Realm to properly investigate this Stellar Dao Fragment. Not wanting to needlessly delay his breakthrough to the Star Creation Realm.

But as he put the book and the Stellar Dao Fragment away in his interspatial ring for now, he couldn’t help looking back at the hidden quest that had given him so many useful things for free before focusing on the thing his disciple had accomplished.

Establishing a new dao path.

A term he hadn’t heard nor seen anywhere before, but a term that wasn’t difficult to understand. Especially after he peeked at this little disciple’s status panel.

Looking at her cultivation realm and ignoring the fact that her dormant physique had changed to evolving, it became clear that the dao path she had established should be her creating a brand-new cultivation path. One that others should be able to follow, though he had a feeling not many would be able to walk the strange path she had taken even with her guidance, a feeling that only solidified after he extended his divine sense into the ascension secret realm where she had broken through and he saw the strange domain that encased her.

More specifically, it was a domain composed of the Dao of Chaos following some unknown principles he couldn’t understand.

Still, the one glance made it clear to him that this dao path created by Mui required the Dao of Chaos. Not exactly a simple path to follow, as comprehending the Dao of Chaos was already something difficult, let alone doing so at the Domain Lord Realm, heck, even her own master hadn’t comprehended the Dao of Chaos, a Dao that could be considered to stand above even the Dao of Time in complexity and difficulty.

In other words, a dao path could be considered another term for a cultivation path and seemed to hint that one needed to create a unique dao path at some point for further progress, though he had no idea when, as even the Venerable Realm didn’t seem to have any mention of a needing to create a unique dao path to advance from what little he had learnt about the realm. Only that one needed to pass a tribulation of some kind to reach the realm.

Speaking of Dao Paths, he knew about, there were nine if he included Mui’s newly created Dao Path or maybe ten if he included the little mushrooms from the ascension realm tower and their curious cultivation path.

From the Ewaria Continent he knew about, there was...

The traditional immortal cultivation path that seemingly split into two different unique paths upon reaching the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm. The Profound Immortal Path and the Celestial Immortal Path.

Next was the profession path that he so far only knew about leading up to the Saint Realm but undoubtedly had realms beyond it.

Fourth was the Faith Path that was by far the most widespread behind the traditional immortal path and its two unique paths. The path followed by the different gods and their worshippers.

What he knew about the Faith Path was mixed, as the different realms could fluctuate widely with even the lowest ranked believers in a richer region sometimes having strength beyond even that of a bishop in some remote location, but generally the ranking of the Faith Path were... Believer, Initiate, Priest, High Priest/High Priestess, Bishop, Archbishop, Cardinal, Pope and Demi God.

Of course, there existed the gods above them, but his knowledge on these gods was severely lacking and the only real information he had managed to dig up was the fact that the rank above Demi God, was a Minor God, with the strength of a Minor God reaching the Venerable Realm.

As for the Major God that existed above that, he had no clue.

The fifth was of course the demonic cultivation path, though there wasn’t much to say about it, the general ranking amongst demonic cultivators was... Lesser Demon, Higher Demon, Three Demonic Transformations, True Demon, Demon Lord, Demon King and the demonic cultivators equivalent to the Venerable Realm, the Ancient Demon King Realm.

Sixth would be the Monk Path followed by the monks from the Western Region, but to be honest, he didn’t know much about this path beyond the fact that it was different from the traditional immortal cultivation path.

Seventh, the Beast Path, the unique path followed by demon beast.

Eighth, the Body Refining Path that had seemingly vanished from the Ewaria Continent in the past that he so far didn’t know much about either and only had knowledge on leading up to their Profound Immortal Realm equivalent, the World Bearing Saint Realm.

And finally, there were the different cultivation paths he had encountered within the ascension realm tower, though the only note worthy one was the path followed by the mushrooms and those natives from the fragmented continent on the twenty ninth floor of the tower.

Outside of that, he couldn’t think of any other Dao Paths or rather unique cultivation paths he might have encountered beyond the unique cultivation paths that different spiritual plants seemed to follow, though he couldn’t say for certain whether they were truly following a unique cultivation path and not just the traditional immortal cultivation path with his limited knowledge on the cultivation of spiritual plants that gained sentience.

Maybe in the future, he would be able to increase his knowledge on the subject, but at least for now, he wasn’t too worried about expanding his knowledge on unique cultivation paths that didn’t help his own cultivation.

For now, at least, he didn’t have to worry about creating some unique Dao Path of his own like his little disciple had ended up doing. Instead, he had to focus on first breaking through to the Star Creation Realm, something he soon enough threw himself into wholeheartedly. Throwing the matter of Dao Paths to the back of his mind for now as he resumed his earlier carving following the Dao Rune Blueprint that had been imprinted into his mind. Slowly making progress towards finishing his first dao rune at a speed that would be considered far from slow in the eyes of any other Star Creation Realm cultivators, who, in the past had spent countless years before successfully carving their first Dao Rune to officially cross into the Star Creation Realm.

After all, to most, the first dao rune could also be considered a sort of bottleneck that most wouldn’t overcome.
