Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2203: Spread of a Hundred Arts

Chapter 2203: Spread of a Hundred Arts

After going over the sudden hidden quest that he had ended up completing thanks to Mui, Xuan Hao returned his full focus back to carving the first dao rune. Only pausing for a few minutes to send the book of a hundred arts to the sect library before informing the current elder in charge of managing the library about its existence. Knowing that this librarian was one of the senior elders who had been carefully selected by Elder Song to help manage the internal affairs of the sect and would undoubtedly make sure the book on the hundred arts was put to proper use.

From start to finish, he didn’t interact with anyone beyond the old librarian through his divine sense. Continently, avoiding learning about the delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall that was currently staying within Falling Star City and the fact that Feng Chen was eagerly waiting for him to leave seclusion so he could discuss this matter with him in detail.

It wasn’t that he wanted to ignore Feng Chen, it was just that he had no intention of getting involved in sect matters before breaking through to the Star Creation Realm, something that was still a few years off even without him running into any difficulties along the way...

Unaware of the fact that he had an opportunity to contact Xuan Hao without disturbing his seclusion, Feng Chen continued spending his days either cultivating or dealing with the different external matters that required his attention.

The delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall was undoubtedly still at the forefront of his thoughts, but with the group already having spent a few years cultivating peacefully within Falling Star City without any new information and Elder Song having informed him that the chaos originating from the fallen Star Creation Realm major power showed no signs of stopping.

On the contrary, the battles playing out over control of this now fallen major power’s vast territory and countless resources began looking like they were about to escalate even further. All because some unique dao ground had been uncovered amongst the ruins of the now destroyed major power, a dao ground that would be useful even to someone at the Star Creation Realm. Leading to those involved in the struggle growing not just in numbers, but also strength.

The only good news for the Myriad Treasure Hall, was the fact that the battles and chaos had been concentrated around the newly uncovered dao ground. Allowing them to free up manpower around the most exposed auction houses under them. Ensuring that they wouldn’t end up getting caught in the crossfire and get destroyed- or more actually, stop someone from trying to take advantage of the growing chaos to target one of their auction houses.

After all, the Myriad Treasure Hall was well known throughout the Southern Central Region for its vast wealth, and it wouldn’t be the first time someone attempted robbing one of their auction houses during times of unrest.

Still, though the Myriad Treasure Hall looked like it was going to be fine even if it was close to the center of the growing chaos within the Southern Central Region, the increased number of people getting involved in the chaos meant that things were unlikely to calm down any time soon. Forcing the group to push back to the potential official meeting date with the Star Shattering Sect back from the originally expected five years to ten years.

Annoying as this was to the delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall, there was nothing they could do about it, as they had to remain within the Falling Star City so they could contact the Star Shattering Sect when required.

One thing they were at least somewhat relieved about was the fact that the cultivation environment within Falling Star City wasn’t much worse than the spiritually rich Southern Central Region and to some extent even a bit better. Ensuring that they would at the very least be able to cultivate smoothly.

That and Elder Song along with a few other curious elders who kept them company from time to time. Allowing both sides to better understand one another.

Inevitably, this also led to them learning more about the internal structure of the Star Shattering Sect and the strength of those at the Seventh Star Peak, though...They didn’t think too much about it given this wasn’t something particularly odd for an ancient hidden sect, as most ancient hidden sects tended to split itself into an inner and outer sect.

The outer sect interacted with the outside world with a few senior elders overseeing it, while the inner sect remained secluded like it had never emerged from hiding in the first place.

To them, the sect described on the Seventh Star Peak was in their eyes, the outer sect of the Star Shattering Sect, with the inner sect located somewhere on the First- or Second Star Peak that was closed off according to the different elders of the Star Shattering Sect they had spoken with.

Like this, a few years quickly flew by with the sect peacefully developing. The main difference compared to the previous few years Xuan Hao had spent in seclusion before Mui broke through was that addition of [The Book of a Hundred Arts] that had been added to the sect’s library. One of the rewards that her unique breakthrough had brought her master.

Having learnt under Elder Song and being one of the more senior elders that had been entrusted with an important place like the sect’s grand library, the elder didn’t just inform the different major branches within the sect about the addition of new information on the Saint Realm for their profession. Instead, the elder carefully sorted out the information within the book and split it up into different independent books for specific professions.

Making it far easier for someone to find what they wanted from the book.

But that was not the end, as the elder, following in the footsteps of Elder Song, decided to convince a few elders in charge of the sect’s internal competitions and events to host a tournament focusing on the new professions that had now become part of the sect’s inheritance. Hoping the event would encourage the younger disciples to take a look and see if there were any professions that suited them.

Knowing a vast majority of the sect’s disciples didn’t end up choosing any of the few available professions within the sect not because they didn’t want to, but instead because there wasn’t anything suitable for them.

For this reason, to make sure these disciples would look around the library just to satisfy their curiosity if anything. The official competition would not take place for another five years. Giving these younger disciples more than enough time to take the first step into the Apprentice Realm even without a skilled teacher guiding them.

Aside from the slow growth of the only recently added new professions experience because of how new and unfamiliar they were to most of the sect’s elders and disciples alike, there was also another matter worth mentioning that took place during these few years and that was the spread of Mui’s unique cultivation path.

Not widespread by any means, but Mui wasn’t the only one on her unique cultivation path any longer, as the few aspiring Domain Lord Realm cultivators that had originally been striving to reach the Soul Ascension Realm had ended up successfully following Mui.

Of course, the group hadn’t comprehended the Dao of Chaos and couldn’t truly be said to have broken through following the same path as Mui. Instead, they had broken through following what could be considered a mix of the traditional immortal cultivation path and Mui’s unique cultivation path. Placing somewhere between the two.

With time and as they officially comprehended the Dao of Chaos, they would officially step into the same strange cultivation realm Mui had stepped into. Although for now, they were in rather strange place that seemed to be neither.

Still, their successful breakthrough had managed to bring some hope to this unique cultivation path created by Mui, as the requirement for someone to comprehend the Dao of Chaos at the Domain Lord Realm was simply far too brutal for anyone but Mui to accomplish it.

Or in simpler terms, without the existence of some kind of transitional realm that would give others a chance to comprehend the Dao of Chaos with the stronger perception brought on by a stronger soul that allowed them to more easily perceive the omnipresent dao.

In the end, none of this mattered much to Mui, as her main reason for helping those seniors of hers, was because she realized that she might be able to get herself a group of helpers for anything she needed to do within the sect in the future. After all, relying on only Song Jia for everything she did was a bit too much and alleviating her friend’s pressure would also give her more time to help with other things.
