Chapter 2218: End of the Meeting (2)
Having seen off Elder Green Willow, Xuan Hao understandably began feeling curious about the situation of the Southern Central Region and the chaos that was currently unfolding in the region. Knowing that there was a good chance he would have to interact with those from the different major powers that inhabited the Southern Central Region.
If possible, he wanted to take advantage of the current chaotic situation of the Southern Central Region to get a better idea of the strength of the different major powers that inhabited the region, something that would undoubtedly be difficult to accomplish under normal circumstances where the top figures of these major powers kept to themselves and rarely ever ventured outside their safe cultivation grounds.
But then again, leaving the sect to venture into the now chaotic Southern Central Region wasn’t exactly the smartest of plans and might very well end up with him getting himself killed in the process. After all, while he had broken through to the Star Creation Realm and was proficient in the Dao of Space and could use it to escape from other Star Creation Realm cultivator he might run into, he had no clue about the strength of the different religions that were spread throughout the Southern Central Region.
Given the simple fact that their holy kingdoms and bases within the Southern Central Region should be their headquarters on the Ewaria Continent, there was a good chance that they either had the ability to directly call upon the god behind them or had some powerful means to protect themselves. No matter which of the two, the strength of these defensive measures would almost certainly be more than capable of killing him, who had only just broken through to the Star Creation Realm.
The only thing he could think about when it came to trying to learn more about the strength of the different major powers on the Southern Central Region would be for him to just try and observe the situation from the side without getting himself dragged into the chaos spreading through the region, something that was easier said than done, as an unfamiliar Star Creation Realm cultivator would undoubtedly draw some attention.
As for using his identity as someone from an ancient hidden sect to scare off potential troublemakers? He doubted that would work, as going with the identity of someone from the Star Shattering Sect would be more likely to put the sect in danger. After all, it didn’t really make much sense for an ancient hidden sect to join the chaos that had been stirred over the cultivation resources and dao grounds that another ancient hidden sect had left behind.
Of course, outside of going to the southern Central Region to satiate his own curiosity, he could also just find an information gathering organization to get the information he wanted, but... Doing so would not just be expensive considering the level of information he wanted pertained the upper level of power of the Southern Central Region, but also boring given how he wouldn’t have a chance to personally gauge the strength of the Star Creation Realm cultivators from the Southern Central Region.
In fact, one of the main reasons why he wanted to go to the Southern Central Region was because he wanted to compare his own strength against other Star Creation Realm cultivators and see how he compared to them. Understanding from the dao rune that had taken shape on his dao lotus, that there should be a clear difference in quality between dao runes, one that would directly affect the strength of the cultivator.
Although he knew that the dao rune he had carved was by no means weak given the fact it had come from an ancient sect like the Mirage Sect, he had no idea how wide the difference between himself and someone else at the Star Creation Realm was.
But before he could leave the sect, he would have to first inform Feng Chen about the meeting and at the same time also brief Elder Song on what had happened along with their potential future trade relationship with the Myriad Treasure Hall.
Not to mention, he still had to find a certain winged lion demon beast that was missing and also had to spend some time with his disciples making sure they were doing fine in their cultivation and didn’t run into any problems they couldn’t get through on their own during his seclusion.
With that in mind, he could wait a bit on the side while the situation in the Southern Central Region continued to develop. Using the time to either teach his disciples or advance his progress towards carving his second dao rune. After all, the second dao rune wasn’t difficult to complete and came with no tribulation. Only after completing the third dao rune, would he face his first tribulation within the Star Creation Realm.
...
"... That is everything I managed to learn about regarding the Star Shattering Sect, I hope what little I was able to gather is useful to senior."
"No worries, this should be more than enough for us to get a better understanding of the Star Shattering Sect and figuring out what sect it was in the past, you did a good job. Return normally and we will start gathering those phoenix feathers for the future trade with the Star Shattering Sect."
"Yes! I understand!"
Having just left the borders of the Star Shattering Sect, Elder Green Willow had just finished briefing one of the elders back at the Myriad Treasure Hall about the meeting, smiling happily as she put the communication talisman away and resumed her journey back in the direction of the Southern Central Region.
Understandably, the first thing she had done after leaving the Star Shattering Sect and picking up the little delegation that had been waiting for her, was contact her fellow elders back at the Myriad Treasure Hall to inform them about the situation and the meeting that had just concluded.
In the process of informing the elder who had ended up responding, the most important thing was without doubt the fact that the Star Shattering Sect was willing to trade an incomplete dao rune blueprint with them, something that was far harder than it looked even when their main trade partners were ancient hidden sects. After all, few of them were truly willing to trade something that important with outsiders and in the cases where they were willing to trade with them, their requirements were far too difficult for them to complete.
Asking for anything from ancient cultivation resources that had long since gone extinct in the current day and age to information on the cataclysm that had ended the ancient era. All things they couldn’t accomplish no matter how much they wanted to gain the capability to do so.
The Star Shattering Sect, on the contrary, was one of the rare few ancient hidden sects that gave them a requirement that they could accomplish.
Although the value of the phoenix feathers that had been listed as the requirement by the Star Shattering Sect wasn’t fully known to the Myriad Treasure Hall, it was clear that those back at the Myriad Treasure Hall wouldn’t care much about this fact. After all, they had those feathers in storage for who knows how many years and had never been able to figure out what they could be used for no matter how they tested them. Only knowing there was some kind of power dormant inside them.
Knowing the name of these feathers didn’t change much, as the Myriad Treasure Hall itself was just happy that they finally had a chance to obtain incomplete dao rune blueprints. Even more so after they learnt from Elder Green Willow how powerful the Star Shattering Sect was. Guaranteeing that whatever dao rune blueprints they produced would be of a far higher quality than any of the other dao rune blueprints they had been able to get their hands on so far.
Who knew, it might even allow some of their senior elders that remained stuck at the Peak of the Land Creation Realm breakthrough and reach the Star Creation Realm. Vastly increasing the overall strength of the Myriad Treasure Hall in the process.
Of course, the main purpose in obtaining more dao rune blueprints wasn’t just to help these elders stuck at the Peak of the Land Creation Realm breakthrough. Instead, it was helping those seniors already at the Star Creation Realm gain some inspiration that might help them better understand the path forward. Allowing them to advance further along the path and carve more dao runes into their dao lotus as they got closer to the Peak of the Star Creation Realm.
Just thinking about how she might be the reason why the Myriad Treasure Hall got its hands on another dao rune blueprint, albeit incomplete, Elder Green Willow felt a surge of growing joy thinking about the rewards that would follow along with that kind of completed trade to her name...
