Chapter 2217: End of the Meeting
Chapter 2217: End of the Meeting
As the meeting came to a satisfying conclusion in the eyes of both individuals involved, Elder Green Willow didn’t end up lingering around the Star Shattering Sect any longer than necessary. Leaving under Xuan Hao’s guidance as she took the opportunity to properly take in the environment of the Shattered Star Peaks during the short journey leading back out of the sect. Trying her best to memorize as much as possible during the process. Hoping that the information gathered so far about the Star Shattering sect would be helpful to those senior record keepers back at the Myriad Treasure Hall in figuring out what ancient sect the Star Shattering Sect was.
After all, while it might be as simple as looking up the Star Shattering Sect and trying to find it within the ancient records, most ancient hidden sects tended to change their names after they reemerged to make it harder for potential enemies to track them down and finish them off while they were in a weakened state. In fact, the Myriad Treasure Hall had only encountered two ancient hidden sects that had kept the original name of their sect when interacting with the outside world and those two sects were amongst the weakest ancient hidden sects the Myriad Treasure Hall had encountered.
Not just that, but those two ancient hidden sects were also shown to be neutral sects that rarely interacted with their peers in the past. Leading to the two of them not having anything to worry about even if other powers realized they were the same.
An ancient hidden sect on the level of the Star Shattering Sect on the other hand, would undoubtedly not be using the same name as it had in the past. Not just out of fear that it might attract past enemies, but also because the Star Shattering Sect was far too powerful for an ancient hidden sect and might directly end up attracting attention from the nine core faiths at the core of the continent. After all, with the strength displayed so far, Elder Green Willow felt almost certain that the Star Shattering Sect wasn’t just another hidden ancient sect that had hidden away during the battle that had played out in the past, but an active participant during that calamity.
Sects with barely one or two figures at the Venerable Realm might have been able to avoid the battle back then with the sacrifice of their ancestors, but a power at the level of the Star Shattering Sect that had potentially managed to keep an ancestor at the Venerable Realm around to this day was undoubtedly beyond the level of what should be possible for these ancient hidden sects.
And because of this, there was a good chance that the nine core faiths at the center of the continent wouldn’t be able to tolerate their existence.
Of course, all of this was still speculation on her side, and she couldn’t be certain about anything yet.
But... Even if it turned out to be true, she doubted her Myriad Treasure Hall would do anything about it, let alone inform those nine core faiths about the situation. After all, trade with an ancient hidden sect of such a level was undoubtedly far better than any potential reward those stingy core faiths might offer in return for the information.
Even in a worst-case scenario of those nine core faiths finding out and deciding to make a move to deal with the threat, it had nothing to do with them, as they could always just sit on the side watching how things played out.
Not to mention, with the Star Shattering Sect potentially having an ancestor at the Venerable Realm around and the foundation of a top tier sect from the past era, it was uncertain those nine core faiths would be able to survive a direct clash in the first place without calling for help from the gods behind them.
However, calling for help in this kind of manner wasn’t exactly simple either. Especially because those gods would have to wager the potential danger involved knowing someone at the Venerable Realm was involved. After all, from what she had learnt about these gods behind the different religions spread throughout the Ewaria Continent, their strength was comparable to a cultivator in the Venerable Realm- if not slightly worse. Meaning a potential engagement with a Venerable Realm cultivator who could draw upon the foundation of his or her sect wouldn’t just take a single god to deal with.
Lost in her own thoughts thinking about the potential upheaval the Star Shattering Sect might bring to the Ewaria Continent in the near future when those major powers and large religions back in the Southern Central Region realized the strength of the sect that had emerged, Elder Green Willow couldn’t help feeling a sense of relief washing over her knowing that her Myriad Treasure Hall would be the first to know.
With knowledge in hand about the potential chaos about to shake the continent, they would be able to prepare and even take advantage of the situation to potentially expand their influence even further.
As for a situation where nothing ended up happening? That was of course still a good situation, as it meant her Myriad Treasure Hall would secure a powerful trading partner for the foreseeable future who would be able to produce dao rune blueprints. The only worry was how many of those phoenix feathers they needed to find to trade for an incomplete dao rune blueprint.
As for a complete dao rune blueprint... She was under no illusion that the Star Shattering Sect would hand over something as important and precious as that no matter what her Myriad Treasure Hall offered in return. All she hoped for was that the Star Shattering Sect would be able to continue trading more incomplete dao rune blueprint with them, as it would allow the senior behind her to deepen their understanding of dao runes and the Star Creation Realm, something that would directly benefit her as someone with a real chance of reaching the Star Creation Realm in the future.
...
Unaware of the internal thoughts of Elder Green Willow as he led her out of the Shattered Star Peaks, Xuan Hao sent her off alongside the small delegation that had settled down within Falling Star City while waiting for this meeting to conclude. Knowing that there was a good chance that the reputation of the Star Shattering Sect might start to spread throughout the Southern Central Region now that they had direct involvement with the Myriad Treasure Hall.
Still, with his strength having reached the Star Creation Realm and the Myriad Treasure Hall’s presence providing legitimacy to the Star Shattering Sect being an ancient hidden sect, he wasn’t to worry about more attention from those major powers being directed towards the Star Shattering Sect.
Not to mention, with the current chaos that was still spreading and expanding in scope within the Southern Central Region, it was unlikely that the major powers of the region had the time to care about a newly emerged ancient hidden sect in the foreseeable future.
Only when the situation calmed down and the state of the Southern Central Region returned to normal would those major powers currently on edge, worried they might get dragged into the expanding chaos, have the time to pay attention to things taking place outside the Southern Central Region.
The only real worry he had were those nine core faiths that stood aloof from the rest of the Southern Central Region and wouldn’t be easily dragged into that kind of chaos, but with what he had learnt from the formation master arriving from the Falling Immortal Archipelago in the past, it seemed like those nine core faiths had their hands tied with something else and wouldn’t be paying much attention to what was happening outside their borders.
Of course, along with this, it was also a simple fact that most powers from the Southern Central Region wouldn’t care much about a newly emerged ancient hidden sect outside the Southern Central Region. Especially one that hadn’t even expanded its borders into any of the four central regions yet.
To most of these major powers, the emergence of the Star Shattering Sect would hardly be worth much beyond drawing up a new forbidden zone at the edge of the Northern Central Region that was to be avoided.
Only some unique powers like the Myriad Treasure Hall would be bothered to try and interact with the Star Shattering Sect hoping to obtain something from the sect through trade or information trading, as those two were undoubtedly things that the Star Shattering Sect would need given how it had just recently emerged into the world and was still unfamiliar with the situation of the continent and the different new resources that had emerged while they had sealed themselves off from the outside world.
And of the two, the Myriad Treasure Hall had already swooped in and taken care of one of these potential needs.
