Chapter 1243: Riding for a Fall! (2)
The Myth of Reverend remained standing before the trembling Trace Faith Idol. The iridescent radiance within the chalice gradually calmed, while the faint disturbance caused by the distant use of Divine Power slowly faded into silence.
Yet the solemnity in his eyes only deepened, and for a brief moment, he stood motionless before slowly lowering his head.
The next moment, placing one hand over his chest, he began speaking in an unknown runic language. The words were soft, gentle, almost melodic, yet every syllable carried a profound resonance that seemed to ripple through reality itself like a divine hymn.
Abruptly, the black stone pillars surrounding the sacred chamber began to hum, and the countless runes engraved upon them awakened one after another before bolden-blue radiance flowed through the hall like rivers of liquid stars.
The ancient prayer continued; no one in the Legendary Plains could have understood even a single word, for the language belonged to no known race or era of the Middle Plains, sounding more like a forgotten law than speech itself.
As the final verse left his lips, the Trace Faith Idol suddenly trembled, and a brilliant radiance erupted from its body. The concealed face beneath the eternal veil remained hidden, yet for a fleeting moment, it seemed as if a pair of ancient, unfathomable eyes had opened beneath the veil.
Thus, the entire sacred chamber instantly came alive, the black pillars shattered into streams of golden-blue glyphs, and the altar dissolved into countless runic fragments. Even the chalice containing the Godly Faith Nectar melted into flowing light.
The vast ritual hall began collapsing inward, or more accurately, it was compressing as space folded and dimensions twisted. The entire chamber shrank rapidly as if an invisible hand were squeezing an entire world into a single point.
The Myth of Reverend remained perfectly calm throughout the process as if already experienced it countless times.
The next moment, the countless ethereal glyphs converged toward him as the altar, the idol, the chalice, the pillars, the flames… everything merged together, and eventually all that incomprehensible grandeur condensed into a single object hovering before him.
It was a bracelet seemingly forged from translucent golden-blue crystal with countless ancient glyphs drifting across its surface like living creatures.
But upon closer inspection, the bracelet resembled a serpent biting its own tail, yet where the serpent’s mouth met its tail, an exquisite hourglass connected the two ends.
Ethereal golden-blue sands flowed endlessly within that tiny hourglass, neither increasing nor decreasing as though time itself had become trapped inside.
The bracelet hovered silently for several moments before it moved like a living creature awakening from slumber. The crystalline serpent slowly coiled around the Myth of Reverend’s wrist with elegant, almost affectionate movements.
The serpent tightened slightly before its body began dissolving into streams of golden-blue radiance, and the light seeped directly into his skin. One scale after another vanished, and the hourglass disappeared last.
When the final fragment merged with him, intricate glyph-like markings appeared across his wrist and forearm, resembling an ancient tattoo, yet they pulsed faintly with mysterious power before slowly fading beneath the surface of his skin.
Everything fell silent once more, and the sacred chamber no longer existed, as the altar, the Trace Faith Idol, and the Godly Faith Nectar had vanished as if they had never existed.
In its place appeared an entirely different environment. A luxurious command suite with smooth, silver-white walls stretching outward and countless floating projections illuminating the room.
Massive tactical maps of the Sagittarius Continent rotated slowly in midair with fleet formations, battle trajectories, and space coordinates. Everything was displayed with perfect clarity, with rows of advanced control panels lining the chamber. Streams of information flowed endlessly through holographic screens.
The contrast between the two environments was almost absurd for one moment, a sacred sanctuary hidden beyond reality, and the next, the command center of a military campaign capable of conquering entire continents.
The Myth of Reverend calmly adjusted his sleeves, and the traces of devotion disappeared from his face. The solemn believer vanished, and in his place returned the familiar smiling and benevolent Reverend known throughout the Legendary Plains.
Yet this time, that smile did not reach his eyes as his gaze lingered upon the projection of the Sagittarius Continent, particularly the endless gray-black veil surrounding the Undead Skyfall Canyons.
A dangerous gleam flickered within his pupils as he muttered softly, “Let the game begin!”

Meanwhile, inside the command citadel of the Mythical Coalition’s flagship.
The Myth of Oracle stood before an enormous projection displaying the Sagittarius Continent. Around her sat some of the coalition’s highest-ranking members.
The Myth of Inferno, the Myth of Thunder, the Myth of Alchemy, the Myth of Black Archer, the Myth of Dark Blaze, and the Myth of Venom, together with the Myth of Oracle and the Myth of Reverend, there were eight Quasi-Myths present and ready to enter the Sagittarius Continent.
Excluding the unfathomable Myth of Reverend, and the mysterious Myth of Oracle, every one of these Quasi-Myths possessed terrifying authority capable of shaking entire regions.
The Myth of Oracle remained silent for a moment, still thinking about what the Myth of Reverend had just told her, and, truthfully, she still had reservations, as the latter had concealed too much.
‘His pursuit of the Cursed One seemed to have bordered on madness…’ She thought grimly, yet despite her doubts, one fact remained undeniable.
The Myth of Reverend was the only one who had the full support of a God from the upper plains, and the price he had offered for the Mythical Coalition’s ‘help’ was too compelling for both the Coalition Master and the Myth of Oracle to ignore.
Moreover, now if a divine power had truly emerged within the Sagittarius Continent, then waiting was no longer an option.
She looked at those clueless Quasi-Myths and felt a hint of pity before speaking coldly, her voice carrying unquestionable authority.
“I just received words from Myth of Reverend!”
The chamber instantly fell into silence, and every Myth became alert.
“We’ll proceed forward from here on out!” The Myth of Oracle spoke impassively before turning toward two individuals.
The Myth of Inferno and the Myth of Thunder possessed the greatest offensive capabilities among all those present.
“Prepare the Vanguard Fleet!”
The two Myths, straightened with terrifying battle intent, surfaced in their ruthless eyes.
“You will lead the first assault force.”
A fierce smile appeared on the Myth of Inferno’s face as it was finally time for action.
Meanwhile, arcs of lightning danced around the Myth of Thunder’s body, and his eyes flashed with excitement as he commented, “It has been a long time since I’ve stretched my muscles.”
The Myth of Oracle ignored the comment and continued, “Your objective is simple. Secure a foothold, determine the source of the Undead Skyfall Canyons’ power, and locate the survivors!”
