Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1300: Starfall: Judgment Sync (1)

Chapter 1300: Starfall: Judgment Sync (1)

The next properties of the magic-nuclear energy were a fascinating discovery, but Jacob had a much more important target: Alexandra!

The next moment, another wave of bombardment descended…

‘BOOOOOOM!’

Alexandra’s body flickered repeatedly, but her movements had become much more frantic as the Cloak of Occult was trembling violently. Its concealment remained extraordinary, but maintaining that state was consuming an absurd amount of Alexandra’s power.

At this point, she could feel her energy was dropping fast, and she clenched her teeth.

‘Damn it…’

She had been using nearly sixty percent of her power merely to maintain the Cloak’s concealment under this bombardment. At first, that had been worth it, but now it was becoming meaningless.

Because Jacob had already turned the entire region into a death trap, remaining invisible no longer guaranteed safety, and continuing to channel that much power into the Cloak meant she had less and less strength available to actually escape.

At that moment, another Magic-Nuclear explosion erupted, and the black miasma swallowed a wave of Lightning Law and grew even more terrifying.

Alexandra’s expression became grim. ‘Enough is enough!’

She finally made her decision, and she stopped channeling power into the Cloak of Occult. The moment she did so, the terrifying concealment around her weakened, and her aura became faintly perceptible.

The next instant, her existence returned to reality, but Alexandra didn’t care, as she needed every ounce of her strength.

‘If I continue hiding, I’ll be in huge trouble.’ She concluded grimly.

After she decided to stop relying on the Cloak of Occult, she was finally able to use her unique power gain from the Chaotic Darkness. She also learned an important lesson: no matter what kind of artifact she owed, in the end, her own power matters the most.

At that moment, the darkness around her started to churn, and an ethereal chaotic wave started emitting from her body. The Cloak of Occult still remained around her body, but it was no longer being forcefully maintained at its previous level.

Her figure became somewhat visible, but her speed, however, increased dramatically.

‘BOOM!’

The darkness around her seemed to have gained a mind of its own, and like a sea wave, it swallowed her whole as she vanished.

Although a barrage of Stellar Spirit projectiles followed her, she twisted through the destroyed space using the mysterious chaotic waves around her body. A Death Law bullet struck the region beside her, and she ignored it.

The next moment, a Magic-Nuclear projectile exploded directly ahead, and Alexandra’s eyes flashed coldly. She tore open the darkness and forced her body through another route.

But just as she emerged, Jacob’s Eyes of Judge suddenly flared as his entire body stiffened because within the endless destruction before him, something flashed. It was a vague humanoid outline, and it appeared only for an instant.

However, Jacob saw it, and there was no mistaking it as his burning eyes flickered ever so slightly with a hint of astonishment.

‘She showed herself?!’

For a moment, even Jacob was stunned as he hadn’t expected Starfall to force Alexandra out, not even with this level of bombardment.

After all, the Cloak of Occult was a Divine Artifact, and it had been given to Alexandra by Destin Saint himself. He was only using Starfall to keep Alexandra in check while he continued to absorb the vitality from the ritual.

But somehow the Starfall had performed beyond his expectations and forced Alexandra out, which was a shocking revelation.

Yet then Jacob’s thoughts rapidly connected the pieces with blazing eyes, ‘Destin Saint isn’t here, and she probably hadn’t truly mastered the Cloak, and an artifact of that level couldn’t possibly be used freely by a Quasi-Myth, not to mention gaining full control over it.

‘Besides, if I were Destin Saint, I wouldn’t have let go of my control over the Cloak of Occult, not to mention giving her full control over that kind of divine artifact, and I would’ve put multiple restraints to keep her in check. So that’s it…’

A cold glimmer filled with mockery slowly appeared beneath his hood. ‘She probably couldn’t use the Cloak of Occult for a long time, and with Starfall bombardment, she had no choice but to abandon the Cloak’s concealment.’

Jacob instantly sensed an opportunity, and an enormous opportunity at that.

His gaze became terrifyingly cold because there was something he had once considered doing to Alexandra. It was a plan that had once seemed unrealistic, and he had abandoned it after Destin Saint entered the equation.

But now, seeing Alexandra struggling against the Starfall, Jacob’s eyes burned brightly with greed and hysteria because, if he succeeded, this could be an opportunity like never seen before in the Zodiac Plains.

‘If I can keep her here…’ Jacob’s eyes burned. ‘Then perhaps that plan isn’t impossible anymore.’

He didn’t hesitate and ordered, “Black Mechanic!”

“Awaiting command, sir.”

“Focus fire on that region.”

“Confirmed.”

Jacob’s gaze remained locked on the faint outline, and then he added another command.

“Activate Judgment Sync!”

The Judgment Sync was an upgraded version of his previous vision targeting that could mark any target he saw and then attack them with extreme precision.

But the new Judgment Sync’s design was far superior yet simple in principle. It can now enable his vision to directly determine the target, and his thoughts will determine the firing intensity.

Moreover, different form of Planet Destroyers has different kinds of Judgment Syncs, and in the Starfall case, through Judgment Sync, the weapons used to create the Starfall could be synchronized at any level he desired.

He could take command of just one weapon, or thirty, or hundreds, even all of the Starfall arsenal. It all depends on the percentage he selects for the output.

The moment Jacob’s thoughts changed, the corresponding weapons would respond, and there was no need for mechanical targeting, coordinates, or conventional tracking. If Jacob could perceive the target, Starfall could fire upon it instantly.

At that moment, Black Mechanic paused for less than a heartbeat. “Judgment Sync activated!”

The system immediately connected Starfall’s targeting network with Jacob’s Eyes of Judge, and a futuristic target interface appeared in Jacob’s vision.

Jacob’s eyes narrowed as he coldly commanded, “One percent output!”

Instantly, tens of weapons changed direction right where Jacob was looking and fired into the space where he had seen Alexandra’s figure!
