Chapter 3722: To the Demon Beasts!
Chapter 3722: To the Demon Beasts!
Returning to the city, Rean, Kentucky, and Reliance exchanged their last words before going their own ways.
"So, you have my number if you need to contact me," Rean said.
"You would better not use that number, though," Reliance added. "Taliana can use her clan to find you."
"Oh, don’t worry," Rean shook his head in response. "The number I gave you is a different one. The number I used to contact Taliana is from some random guy here in the city. It isn’t hard to find some weak piece of shit to take the blame for me in a city of this size."
Reliance remembered that Rean had the power to copy Werdlem IDs somehow. "You better not let others know about this power of yours. I also won’t report it to the Demon Beasts. Be careful."
"I will," Rean smiled. "It’s just that I know I can trust you."
"That’s naive..." Reliance sighed, although he would be lying if he said he didn’t feel a little happy to hear that. "Anyway, I have things to do, and who knows what kind of role I have in this place. Let’s just hope I don’t have to die for it."
And so, Reliance bid farewell to Rean and Kentucky, taking the Teleport Formations to go to another city.
Meanwhile, Rean and Kentucky looked for some other target, and after knocking the guy out and copying his ID, Kentucky returned to the Dimensional Realm, and Rean took the teleport formation.
Rean teleported from city to city, continent to continent. Since his ID was from a Middle Stage Space-Time Realm expert, there were many questions regarding his movements. If someone asked, he simply said he was going to the borders to get some battle experience against the Demon Beasts. There were fights going on everywhere, after all. Any reinforcements were more than welcome.
Three days later, Rean appeared with a bunch of other experts in the City of Loggoj, in the Country of Girttri and Continent of Carturia. Loggoj was just a little over eleven thousand kilometers away from the border to the Demon Beasts’ Territories. On the other side, you would be in the Continent of Vanbaqre, which was controlled by them.
The city was very crowded, but that’s because experts from various continents were gathered here. It was only one of the many, many cities where the forces of the humanoid races gathered before going to battle. There were even more at the front lines already, too.
Spreading his Divine Sense, Rean counted at least a hundred Space-Time Realm experts, and three Divinity Realm ones. No one bothered with it as Divine Senses were spread everywhere. Everyone looked at everyone. That was normal in a city. The only places free of those senses were the room, houses, or other buildings with formations to fight against it. That said, Rean was certain there were even more that he couldn’t see in this city.
’Don’t forget the idiot we knocked out. He is still unconscious here in the Dimensional Realm,’ Roan warned Rean. They had to throw him out later so his teleportation to this place could be explained. Leaving him back in the city where they found Reliance would be weird in the network.
Rean nodded. ’I’ll do it somewhere outside the city.’
’Should I come out for us to fly to the Demon Beasts’ Territory? I already changed my appearance, so no one will notice I’m a Minokawa,’ Kentucky asked.
’Yes, but not now,’ Rean explained. ’In my Divine Sense just now, I found pretty much no Demon Beasts whatsoever, and the few I found were being watched closely. Not a single one of them was above the Transition Realm either. This City obviously doesn’t want to have any Demon Beasts running around.’
Kentucky didn’t mind. ’Alright. Let me know when.’
Rean didn’t leave the city straight away, though. First, using the ID of the knocked-out guy in the Dimensional Realm, he went to one of the many places where one could register to take part in the war. Around an hour later, he came out with a badge.
’Simply put, it is the same as previous wars we have seen,’ Rean commented with the guys in the Dimensional Realm. ’Each side is offering rewards and points, and these badges can record kills and such. Feels kinda boring already.’
But then, Rean noticed. ’Look at me, a war over an entire universe and all I can think is that it feels boring.’
’It is boring,’ Roan agreed with Rean there. ’It is always the same shit, power, resources, and land. There are a few wars that happened for even worse reasons, but the majority always follow this logic.’
’Sigh...’ Rean decided to ignore it. ’Anyway, I joined the army... Well, this guy called Forohel did. Anyway, I got some information regarding the battlefronts. Although the entire border is being monitored, the places where battles happen aren’t many. Kentucky, I’m going out of the city. Once we are far enough away, we will fly to one of the weak points while trying to keep out of sight.’
’Gotcha!’ Kentucky wanted nothing more than to come outside.
Rean came out of the city. Spatial Gates didn’t work, so he had to fly away on his own first. Still, it took a while until he finally found a corner where he could leave the range of the Divine Senses. After all, there were Divinity Realm experts around.
With Kentucky out, Rean spread his Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill before the two took to the skies. As always, as long as they don’t get too close to the sources of Divine Senses, they won’t be found.
They didn’t fly too fast, taking their time to cover the distance to the border. Too bad they couldn’t simply cross it straight away.
"There it is," Rean commented.
"So that’s the formation, uh?" Kentucky added.
The border wasn’t only monitored, it was also protected by a formation that expanded to almost the entire continent. All continents bordering the Demon Beasts and Devils’ Territories had similar ones. They weren’t particularly strong, but they had enough power to prevent an invasion for a few hours, in case someone tried to attack from a new path.
The same went for the Demon Beasts side, as Rean and Kentucky could see another formation with different runes past the border. If they wanted to traverse, they would need to cross both formations.
