Chapter 3959: Better than Expected
Chapter 3959: Better than Expected
Foliana and Rean might be sad that they lost their disciples, but they were also happy for them. However, there was one annoyed guy with this outcome, Roan!
Was he affected by the fact that those two left? Not really. What bothered him was that only Zangeshu and Wisfreya seemed to match his personality. In a weird way, they attracted Rean and the rest’s bullshit, giving Roan more time alone. Now, only the annoying bunch remained behind, so who could blame Roan for being annoyed?
Regardless, things turned out okay for the twins’ group, and now they had a free path ahead, a path where they wouldn’t need to be afraid of the Judgemental Eyes or anything similar. Of course, there was kind of a time limit with Caladara’s involvement, but they couldn’t do much about it for now.
During the following six years, Rean and Foliana visited Zangeshu and Wisfreya, both for the sake of their future trainings and also for Wisfreya’s Soul and Blood.
Today, Rean returned from Verjansy Country, carrying the last piece of her soul and the blood. He went straight to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, throwing those two into the mix.
"Alright, this should be more than enough," Rean commented to Roan, who was by his side. "If the system refuses this amount of Wisfreya’s Soul and Blood, then it truly can only accept the real Wisfreya."
Roan agreed with him. "That would be a shame, since we won’t sacrifice her. Anyway, get ready on the soul side. I will refine Wisfreya’s blood to extract the Luminous Aether Dragon Bloodline from it. We will give them to the system in a week."
"Alright." Rean agreed and went to the area where Wisfreya’s Soul was being kept, the same place where the Abyssal Soul was.
Roan looked at the blood at the center of the pool of Elemental Pristine Liquid, connecting to the Dimensional Realm and controlling the area. Roan then teleported to his Alchemy Workshop, turning on the various devices and lighting up the cauldron.
Out of nowhere, the blood in the pool began to teleport into the cauldron. Roan then started a slow refinement process, making sure to not waste anything or as little as possible. That’s why he asked for a week, as he would take around that long to finish the refinement.
---
Finally, a week went by, and everyone gathered in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Now, the group was down to six members, with basically only Foliana as someone really born in the Werdlem Empire. Well, chances were she would also leave them at some point once the twins’ group found a way to go back to Lisan.
"Okay, Sister Orb, take them," Roan said. Behind him, the refined blood and the soul energy floated in confined spaces.
[Well, let’s see if the system will accept them or if it truly wants Wisfreya to die...]
*Zush, zush!*
Both the blood and the soul energy disappeared without a trace; neither the twins nor Sister Orb could detect it anymore. As expected, the system took them away.
Everything was silent for the twins as they waited to receive any messages from the system. Still, nothing happened during the following minutes.
"Could it be we failed?" Rean couldn’t help but ask, sighing. They truly spent quite a long time on this.
Roan didn’t seem to care. "Even if we did, it is not a big deal. The plan of ’increasing’ our cultivation is still ongoing."
[Not so fast,] Sister Orb interrupted them. [You can’t see it, but the system’s processing power is being used nonstop. It is still not guaranteed that the quest has failed.]
"Still?" Rean was surprised. "The system doesn’t take that long to give the answer for quests, does it?"
"Probably because it is creating a new ability from Wisfreya’s bloodline and soul," Celis pointed out. "Whether it will succeed or not, now that’s another story."
But then...
*Rumble!!!*
The Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm began to tremble, and the energy in the environment transformed. The twins, having the connection with it, could feel it the best. "The Divine Energy and Divine Origin Energy here is going crazy..."
Not too long after, a change took place. The Dimensional Realm had Starlight Energy. In fact, it had more Starlight Energy than what you could find outside. After all, as mentioned several times, the system absorbs external energies over a wide range and concentrates them in a small area for the twins’ group to use inside the Dimensional Realm.
However, the Starlight Energy concentration was rising sharply in exchange for the Divine Origin Energy. It was so much that it became almost tangible, and that was only the environmental energy! What if they took out high-ranked Divine Stones and used them?
"Did it wo-" Before Rean could finish his question, the system’s voice echoed in the twins’ minds.
*Pin!*
[Congratulations, hosts.]
[The quest: Starlight but no Star has been completed successfully.]
[Reward: The Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm is now able to create Starlight Energy, a source strong enough for the hosts to reach the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm without any troubles.]
*Bzzz!*
Then, they noticed a nearby piece of land where the ground began to glow. Suddenly, a large formation started to rise a few meters above the surface. The structure was quite expansive, stretching several kilometers. However, given the vastness of the Dimensional Realm, this size was relatively insignificant.
Rean and Roan quickly teleported everyone close, watching it while the system continued to speak to them.
[The Starlight Formation has been added to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. It will constantly change Divine Origin Energy into Starlight Energy for the hosts’ use. Above all, this formation can be fuelled with Divine Stones. The higher the rank, the higher the output of Starlight Energy.]
*Pin!*
[Congratulations, hosts.]
[By succeeding in creating a clear path to the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm, you have been rewarded.]
[Reward: 2300 Celestial Points.]
*Pin!*
[Congratulations, hosts.]
[New options will be added to the Upgrade List of the Celestial Soul System.]
Finally, the system went silent, leaving the twins to tell what happened to the rest.
"Well, that went better than expected..."
