Death… And Me

Chapter 3999: What He Wants

Chapter 3999: What He Wants

Outside, Xyrath was about to open a Spatial Gate.

"Wait, senior Xyrath," Rean stopped him. "What if someone sees the Spatial Gate on the other side? There are quite a few experts around now that the Future Realm opened."

"It’s fine," Xyrath wasn’t worried. "I’m still connected to all my Time Plates, after all. I can tell if anyone is near it. Now, let’s go."

A Spatial Gate opened, and their group disappeared. Once on the other side, the first Time Plate Xyrath wanted to take was just a few tens of meters away. "Alright, the plan is quite simple. We need to start with all the Time Plates that display the furthest futures first."

By going for those Time Plates, the countdown would start straight away.

Rean stopped in front of the drifting Time Plate, opening the Dimensional Realm Portal. Soon, the Plate drifted inside, and Rean closed the portal. "By the way, Senior Xyrath. How many Time Plates can we cut connection to the outside world without causing any side effects to the Future Realm?"

"If you don’t want any side effects whatsoever, at most five thousand of them. If you don’t mind some tiny bits of interference that most will likely ignore, we can go up to ninety thousand," Xyrath explained. "You guys got around three hundred thousand of them inside your Dimensional Realm, and the side effects became very apparent when you cut their connections."

"Let’s keep fifty thousand of them at once then," Rean decided. "The side effects should appear, but they will be so minuscule that most won’t even notice something changed. We will swap them as they finish synchronizing with our time."

That said, Sister Orb released the Time Plates she had in the Dimensional Realm so no one would notice their numbers going down. Over the next years, Xyrath brought their group everywhere, helping Rean, Kentucky, and Foliana with the Time Plates that displayed the furthest futures.

Even if they had only started with fifty thousand, capturing each of them took some time. Besides, Xyrath had to come inside and stop the time inside the Time Plates as well. That, too, took some time and energy to be done.

It wasn’t until nine years had passed that the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm was filled with fifty thousand Time Plates, all of them cut from the outside world.

Inside the Dimensional Realm, Rean’s group examined those Time Plates, and time froze within them. "How is it, Senior Xyrath?"

Xyrath nodded, satisfied. "It is working perfectly. Still, since we are taking the Time Plates that display the furthest futures, we are left with a lot of free time."

Xyrath pulled a Time Plate close, looking into the frozen time inside. He could interact with it, but because of the desynch, it was better to leave it alone. "We will catch up with the time inside this Time Plate first. The fake future displayed inside is 485 years away. So, during the next 485 years, we can’t do anything else but wait."

They looked at the Time Plate, and Kentucky asked a question. "Can’t we use a formation to accelerate our own time?"

Xyrath immediately shook his head. "It’s meaningless. My plates aren’t affected by any purposely made changes in time, regardless of the method used. Only the Future Realm’s time works, but it only exists because of my innate ability. Well, it doesn’t matter since these plates are cut off from the outside anyway. Just know that before I can put my body back together, I can’t intervene with the Future Realm’s time either."

"So..." Foliana couldn’t help but ask. "What do we do now?"

"I don’t think I will like the answer," Kentucky commented.

Rean shrugged. "What else can we do? Let’s meet with Roan and the others and start cultivating. That’s the best way of using our time."

"I knew I would not like the answer." And Kentucky complained.

Xyrath agreed with Rean, though. "This Future Realm is quite rich in resources, not to mention Divine Energy and Divine Origin Energy. That Starlight Formation of yours needs Divine Origin Energy to work, right? I can show you a few Divine Origin Energy veins that my Future Realm gave birth to after all these years. There are plenty of Divine Stone deposits you can use, too."

’Make sure to take them all,’ Celis’s voice echoed inside the Dimensional Realm. ’That way, I don’t need to be frugal with the usage of Divine Stones in the formation, hehe! I’m truly loving this place.’

Well, Rean’s group had no reason to refuse. "If that’s the case, let’s go find them."

They once again exited the Dimensional Realm, and Xyrath brought them to those veins. Each vein was worth tens of thousands of Rank Thirteen or Fourteen Divine Stones, so they were truly blessed with resources, thanks to Xyrath. The powers outside would probably go to war if that meant acquiring Xyrath’s help in this place.

*Bang!*

An enormous vein was teleported inside the Dimensional Realm, lying just beside the Starlight Energy Formation. That was the fifth one that Rean, Kentucky, and Foliana brought inside the Dimensional Realm.

That wasn’t all. Roan also tasked them to collect some of the various herbs and alchemy materials in that Realm for him. There were also a few good deposits of high-level ores that Kentucky detected. Even if they wouldn’t be used by Rean, Kentucky could still eat them to his heart’s content.

Looking at the veins and the Divine Stones, Rean nodded in satisfaction. "This looks pretty good."

"That’s because you haven’t seen the true veins," Xyrath commented. "This is a Rank A Universe, so I’m pretty sure the veins at the center of the Divine Realm should be equivalent to Rank Seventeen or maybe even Rank Eighteen Divine Stones."

That made Rean curious, something he had wondered many times. "Just what is the rank limit of Divine Stones?"

If there was someone who knew it, that had to be Xyrath.
