Chapter 4018: So be it
Chapter 4018: So be it
Of course, even though Xyrath could do it, he didn’t take action. "First, let’s go to some empty place."
Another Spatial Gate appeared, and Xyrath brought Rean’s group to an area where there wasn’t anyone nearby. Of course, his Time Plates were still everywhere, and that’s what he needed.
Rean, Kentucky, and Foliana watched as the Time Plates in the surrounding area began to float in Xyrath’s direction. One by one, they stopped at specific places, though they didn’t connect as Rean’s group expected. "Did something go wrong?"
Xyrath shook his head, his expression showing satisfaction. "It couldn’t have gone better."
Kentucky looked at the plates again. "Are you sure?"
Xyrath smiled, explaining to them. "My time plates have specific positions to connect. What you are seeing here is exactly where these ones would be if I had brought all of them together, not just these few from this area. The Time Plates around my Future Realm are randomly spread. What I tested here was if I could connect these Time Plates, and it worked perfectly."
That was obviously great news. "So that’s how it is..."
Xyrath turned to Rean and the others, releasing his Time Plates and allowing them to drift away on their own again. "I have you guys to thank for. Is there anything I can help you with before the Future Realm closes? I believe you won’t be staying on this side of the Divine Realm for much longer, right?"
Xyrath was right. The twins’ group did indeed intend to leave this place now that their cultivation had increased. The plan hasn’t changed. They will find some other concealed location, far away from everything, and stop to cultivate until they reach the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm.
"That’s the idea," Rean confirmed.
Kentucky already knew what Xyrath could help with. "Well, now that we can create Starlight Energy, the only thing we need in abundance is Divine Origin Energy. So, if Xyrath helps us gather as many Divine Stones and Divine Energy Veins as possible, that would be nice."
"Just that?" Xyrath was a little disappointed. "Well, that’s easy. I was already going to help Foliana anyway, so it is basically the same thing."
"Good!" Rean couldn’t hope for better. "It might look like nothing to you, but for us, that is our main priority. At least Roan and I won’t have to stop somewhere to sell pills, equipment, formations, and these kinds of things. That’s plenty of help for us."
"Very well," Xyrath nodded. "I only need Kentucky or Rean to be with me. I will leave the rest back where Qufis is gathered."
No one had anything to add, and they returned to Qufis. In the end, Rean left straight away, leaving Kentucky and Foliana behind. Why Kentucky? Because as long as he is with Celis, Celis and Kentucky can cultivate even faster. Rean and Xyrath would focus on gathering those resources for cultivation.
---
A few years later, Foliana and Tanxan successfully established that information exchange hub. It was quite hard. After all, could you really trust these trades? Was the information legit? These kinds of problems were obviously raised.
Nonetheless, the desperation for cultivation resources won everyone over. The closure of the Future Realm was approaching, and if passing over information could produce the necessary resources everyone needed, then so be it.
Tanxan, Foliana, and a few experts from other powers ended up joining hands. They were all the same, experts wishing to find information regarding Celestial Laws escaping into this side of the Divine Realm.
Of course, even though there were so many powers from various places, information about Celestial Laws for absorption was still rare. Foliana and Tanxan, for example, only managed to get a few clues, and there was no guarantee any of them would be what they expected. Well, even if there were only clues, anyone wishing to find the same type of Celestial Laws as their affinity would have to rely on them.
The ten thousandth year arrived, and Rean returned to the Qufis Formation, joining everyone. During these last hundreds of years, Rean and Xyrath managed to collect around 20% of all the cultivation resources. That would definitely be enough for the twins to not have to worry about Divine Stones for a while.
As for the rest of the resources, Rean decided to not touch them. If he truly took them all, it would affect this amazing cultivation environment. Not to mention that the Werdlem Empire’s Formations relied on them as well. That would definitely lead to investigations into the situation of the Future Realm, and that’s what they had to avoid. For all intents and purposes, the Future Realm must be seen as if nothing has changed. At least until Xyrath gets strong enough to leave this place.
---
The closure of the Future Realm got closer, and there wasn’t more than twenty years remaining. Thanks to the fact that everyone could access the Werdlem Network, they could contact their backgrounds and check how much of the one hundred years had passed outside.
However, that raised a few questions back in the Riquicious Empire.
Vuccu, the Sky-Whisper Mantis, stayed in Riquicious this entire time. Rean always kept fifty thousand time plates cut off from the Werdlem Empire Formations and the Future Realm’s influence. That was a very small number, and it barely caused any ripples in the Laws and Time.
However, it still happened, even if no one seemed to care too much. Vuccu was one of those who did pay attention to these small blimps, where cultivators in the Future Realm noticed the laws accelerating once or twice for brief moments every few years.
Vuccu was confused. Was the Future Realm having problems? Several times, he thought about forcing his way into the Future Realm to check. However, in the last few years, those discrepancies disappeared, just as the Future Realm opening was nearing its end.
Others thought that the Future Realm just went back to normal, but Vuccu thought otherwise. The main point was the time. He had the Riquicious Empire count the time they spent inside the Future Realm, and it was easy to calculate that the Future Realm only experienced 10300 years or so. Compared to previous years, that was much lower.
So, Vuccu stayed and kept watching.
"Have you finished the investigation?" Vuccu asked one of the Riquicious Empire’s experts who was attending to him.
"Yes," a woman nodded. "We had a few of our people inside check the other forces. Within the powers with similar strength to our Riquicious Empire, everything was as we expected. Then, we began to check the weaker ones. Our investigation finally reached a multi-continental alliance called Qufis."
Vuccu nodded slightly. "I heard this name in the reports recently. What did you find?"
"Even though they had very few experts, a total of five of them managed to reach the Divinity Realm. Even for our Riquicious Empire, which has more than a hundred Peak Stage Space-Time Realm Experts in the Future Realm, only four of them managed to reach the Divinity Realm," the woman explained.
However, she was confused. "Senior Vuccu, although Qufis was extremely lucky, these kinds of things do happen once every few openings of the Future Realm. Is there anything wrong with these breakthroughs this time?"
The Riquicious Empire was tasked to check all the powers inside, looking for those who gained the most from this opening. However, they didn’t know why Vuccu asked for such a thing. Yes, they found about Qufis, and Riquicious admitted Qufis was really lucky. Still, that was within an acceptable range, considering how many experts enter the Future Realm every time.
Vuccu was silent. There was indeed a reason he asked for this specific kind of investigation. "Was that the same alliance that started the information exchange hub that you mentioned in the reports?"
The woman confirmed. "Yes. Is that a problem?"
Foliana’s information exchange hub had experts from many different powers participating, but it was ultimately started by her and Tanxan. It was completely open in the Werdlem Network, so anyone could take part in it. It’s just that to make a deal, you had to be inside the Future Realm at this time. What caught Vuccu’s attention was what Foliana and Tanxan were offering: Divine Energy Veins!
They weren’t the only ones who found the veins. Other powers also found some. However, the number of veins they were offering was quite impressive. How could a small power like Qufis, with such a small number of experts, have the capability to find so many Divine Energy Veins? Even Riquicious hasn’t found as many as Qufis did, and that was only counting the Divine Energy Veins being offered in the hub. Just how many more did they have for themselves?
In the end, that could only mean one thing: Qufis, or at least someone from there, had privileged information of the Future Realm.
Considering the ripples caused in the laws and the change in the length of the opening time of the Future Realm, Vuccu was certain these occurrences were linked.
He only had one doubt. Who could have given Qufis the information regarding the Future Realm’s cultivation resource locations?
The Werdlem Empire’s Formation is what keeps the Future Realm isolated. Also, every time the Future Realm closes, the formations inside get rid of everything that was left behind before changing the shape of the realm itself. Not even Riquicious should have any information about how the Future Realm will look when it opens next time.
It was a way to ensure some degree of fairness, since the top powers would definitely record the locations of those resources to be used next time. That couldn’t be allowed.
Vuccu was sure that the reason the Future Realm had problems with the laws and time acceleration was the exploitation of those resources.
Finally, he looked at the silver lace in his hand, the same one that kept showing short projections of different futures, and made a decision. "I guess I have no choice..."
