Death… And Me

Chapter 4037: Back to Riquicious

Chapter 4037: Back to Riquicious

With that decided, there was no need to worry about the Werdlem Universe anymore. Instead, Rean checked the Great Void Chart they used to get to A1. There was still that same long-time broken Great Void Shifter that they used to get here. But for safety’s sake, Rean decided to use another one.

There were many shifters in A1, and most of them worked normally instead of being abandoned/destroyed. The other one he found was very far, and he would be forced to go through the central region of the Divine Realm to get to it.

As mentioned before, Rank A Universes were so big that using normal Long-Distance Teleport Formations wasn’t enough. After a certain limit, they preferred to use real Great Void Shifters to move very long distances instead of the typical formations.

It was not that the Long-Distance Teleport Formations didn’t work. It’s just that it was actually cheaper to use the Great Void Shifter Formations instead of the teleport ones after that distance limit.

And so, Rean headed for the closest shifter, which just so happened to be in the Riquicious Empire. Yes, Rean and Kentucky could have used their own Spatial Gates. At their level, they could cross enormous distances with each gate they opened. Still, A1 was just that big, including its Divine Realm. For them, using Spatial Gates would still take them a few months to cover the entire distance to the closest abandoned shifter.

Two days later, Rean and Kentucky entered the Riquicious Capital, and their presence definitely caught some attention. After all, they were both Peak Stage Divinities, and they didn’t need to hide their identity. Besides, it would make sense that experts of their level could pay for the use of the shifter.

At the Formations Facility, they went straight for the Great Void Shifter present. "Hello! How much is it to use the Great Void Shifter? We need to go to the central area of the Divine Realm."

The formations master nodded, but he didn’t seem to want to activate the formation. He was also a Divinity Realm Expert, so he didn’t need to act all courteous. "We can make that happen. Unfortunately, teleporting to the Central Area of the Universe requires permission. Not everyone can simply go there, you know?"

Rean smiled, taking out a Blue Card. That was the genuine Tombassin Sect Recruitment Card, one of the two the twins’ group kept for themselves. As long as they had one, they would have access to the Central Area of the Divine Realm.

The man looked at that, surprised. "Please, let me take a look."

He pulled a device connected to the database of the Formations Guild headquarters in the central area. Copying that card was impossible, so if it was fake, the Formations Master would know.

It only took a few seconds for an answer to arrive. "It’s... It’s legit..." The man looked at Rean, surprised. "It is not every day that such a card appears in this side of the Divine Realm. I’ve confirmed both cards are the real deal."

Rean took it back, putting it away. "It makes sense. Acquiring these cards was ridiculously hard. We had to prove we had what it takes to participate in the Tombassin Sect Recruitment."

The man nodded. He was aware of the difficulties. "Indeed. However, you are a little bit too late, don’t you think? The last recruitment was two thousand years ago. Your cards are still valid. They can be used only once, but that can be during any of the recruitments. Shouldn’t you have waited for the next recruitment to get close? At the moment, we don’t even know which continent will host the next recruitment."

"No," Rean and Kentucky shook their heads. "We are only using the cards so we can pass by the Central Area. We aren’t really staying there. We have other plans. Besides, what is a few thousand years for experts of our level?"

"That’s true, that’s true..." The Formations Master nodded. Divinities would easily live for many millions of years, maybe even billions if no one killed them by that point. Now acting a lot more respectfully, the guy prepared to activate the Great Void Shifter. "Is there any specific shifter you would like to go to in the Central Area? We need to inform them ahead of time so they can activate their own as well."

"Yes," they had already plotted the path. "We need to pass by the Fruifa Continent. They have the other shifter we require."

"Very well," the man walked with Rean and Kentucky. "As you know, the Great Void Shifter costs must be paid by the users themselves. To shift you to Fruifa, that will be two thousand and five hundred Rank Fourteen Divine Stones."

"As expected, that was quite spicy..." Rean said with a calm smile. He took a Spatial Ring, passing it to the Formations Master. "Here you go."

The master checked the contents, nodding in satisfaction. "I have confirmed your payment. Please, wait here for a few minutes. We need both sides of the shifter to work together for this."

Rean and Kentucky didn’t mind. They watched the other formations masters work and prepare the shifter as they waited. However, before the formation got ready, they received a visit.

"Seniors, my name is Mira. May I get a few minutes of your time?" A woman, followed by a small entourage using similar attire, approached them.

Rean and Kentucky looked at her, knowing their origin due to the emblem on their clothes. "The Riquicious Imperial Family? I’m sorry, but we are just about to leave, you know?"

Mira nodded. "We are aware. I guarantee it won’t take more than a few minutes."

The Formations Master from earlier heard that, too. "Friends can go. As I said, it will take a few minutes to prepare the shifter on both sides anyway. You won’t lose any time here."

Without much reason to refuse, Rean and Kentucky accepted the offer. "Very well. Since it will only take a few minutes..."

Mira was happy and guided them to a private room in the facility. As for the reason for the request... "Seniors, my Riquicious Empire would like to hear about how you acquired your recruitment cars."
