Chapter 4180: No System
Chapter 4180: No System
"This is enough!" Roan passed his order, sending another Abyssal Beast inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. "I’m going ahead!"
*Zush!*
Roan immediately disappeared. Rean followed, although Kentucky was still in the Ancestral Area, waiting.
"Are these all?" Kentucky asked.
Norogal had his Divine Sense everywhere. "There are some who were in the more isolated areas. They will take longer to get here, but they are coming as fast as they can."
Kentucky narrowed his eyes. He was almost at the limit of the one minute he gave them all. Right after, he felt the Divine Senses of Celestial Realm experts appearing in the Abyssal Beasts’ Home. "We can’t wait any longer. Tell me the direction they are coming from, and I can try to meet them on the way. We will be surrounded if we stay here. Once again, we just can’t take them all."
Norogal accepted that. "Very well."
Meanwhile, Rean and Roan left the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm by Celis’s side, who was in an empty area in the void. There was a concealing formation around that area, though. Rean wouldn’t just leave that location in the open. There, the twins met Aby and Mamato.
*Zush!*
Hick also appeared there. "Dofrei and his disciples are in position, too. If Soza’s group makes it back to BH1, they will try to buy you time."
"Very well," Roan nodded. "Mamato, open it!"
Mamato quickly followed the orders, and the Abyssal Path was opened. It made sense that the path was built so fast. There were Abyssal Paths connecting Universes through the Great Void, so a simple path of just a few light-years of distance was truly nothing. "It’s open. The moment we cross it, we will instantly appear at the center of the Great Void Black Hole."
However, Mamato was a little nervous. "Are you sure you want to go inside? I connected the path with my fragment, but what if it isn’t inside this empty space you mentioned? If we end up inside the Black Hole itself, we will die pretty fast."
Rean wasn’t concerned. "Don’t worry. It is there. If not, the box I used to hide your fragment would have been destroyed by the Black Hole’s forces. At the very least, it is in a place where we won’t die because of a Black Hole. It can be a trap, though. Who knows? Perhaps Soza and his guys found out our little trick and are ready for us. Hahaha!"
"Was that supposed to make me feel better?" Mamato asked, with an even more worried expression on his face.
"Enough. Let’s go!" Roan ignored that, quickly jumping inside the Abyssal Path. They didn’t really need Mamato anymore, to be honest. The system could open the paths for them to use. It just couldn’t create them. Nonetheless, it was better to be safe than sorry.
It felt like the light had been turned off and on for an instant. By the time they saw each other again, they were already at the center of the Great Void Black Hole!
"MASTER!!!" Hick couldn’t help but exclaim!
Finally, the twins saw it. Default, but above all, the prison enveloping him. Many runes Rean had never seen before ran around, creating a sphere that kept stealing power from the Great Void Black Hole to feed itself.
"It is nice to finally put a face to the stories," Default said, seemingly relaxed as he looked at the twins.
"Forget that," Roan cut in. "Here we are, and we want to get the fuck out of here, which we need you for. Sister Orb!"
[This thing is a formation, but you can forget about me hacking into it. I don’t even know where I could start. First of all, if I did hack into it, breaking this prison also means breaking the only thing that keeps this empty space intact. That Great Void Black Hole would immediately collapse into us.]
"There is no need to worry," Default said. "Just don’t get in the way when I connect to the system."
[Wait, did he just hear me?] Sister Orb was taken aback. She thought only Rean and Roan had heard her.
But then again, the Celestial Soul System was created by Default. It is his self-evolving system. It wouldn’t be all that unbelievable that he had a special connection with it.
Rean and Roan looked at each other, the same idea in their minds. "So you did have a plan, and that included our presence here."
"Yes. Wait a moment." Default focused on the task ahead.
*Pin!*
[External Connection Attempted. ID available in the deep system database: Default, the Now. Hosts are still required to accept the requisition. Accept?]
They already got there, no point turning back now. "Yes."
[External Connection Accepted.]
Immediately, Sister Orb felt the system’s processing power skyrocket. It easily surpassed its original limit, going far beyond.
*Zush!*
In the next moment, the Control Orb appeared outside. It shone with an intense Black and White Light, and also a type of law the twins’ group had never felt before.
"You truly didn’t disappoint me. The Control Module of the system carries more than enough power for the procedure," Default said. "As expected of me, too. Hahaha!"
---
Back in the Abyssal Beasts’ Home, Kentucky kept himself hidden with the Light and Divine Sense Bending as he flew as fast as possible in the direction of the Remaining Abyssal Beasts he could still save. There were more coming from other locations, but he wouldn’t be able to get to those.
"There they are!" Norogal quickly pointed out.
Kentucky saw a group of around twelve Abyssal Beasts rushing in their direction. He made himself visible to them, but especially Norogal.
"Senior Norogal!"
Norogal nodded. "Don’t fight back. He will send you into his Pocket Dimensional Realm."
*Rumble!*
The Golden Power of Soza’s group finally appeared. "That’s it. We are leaving!"
Then, Kentucky sent the rest of the Abyssal Beasts inside, quickly disappearing from there as well. Just like before, he used the Dimensional Realm to come out by Celis’s side and make his entrance disappear from the Abyssal Beasts’ Home.
He wasn’t done yet, though. He obviously contacted the Abyssal Beasts. "Mamato said you can make all the Abyssal Paths collapse, right?"
Norogal nodded. "Yes. I have a thing called the Abyssal Key, a treasure of our race, which can achieve this effect."
"Okay. Except for the Abyssal Paths I’m going to show you, make all the rest disappear." They were truly going all out.
---
Default controlled the orb, and suddenly, the prison began to expand. However, it wasn’t only the prison, but also the Control Orb. Soon, the Control Orb took the place of the prison, and Default used it to step outside of his confinement. The Control Orb did not stop him like the prison did.
*Crack, crack, crack...*
However, the Control Orb began to crack; such was the power of BH1 it was fighting against.
"It served its purpose well," said Default.
"Wait, what?!" Rean and the others were taken aback. "But the Control Orb controls the system and its abilities!"
And Default confirmed. "It sure does. It had to provide its host with enough boosts so they could evolve the system to the point where it could be used to free me from my prison. That’s also why I wanted to be the last Primordial Demon Beast released. That way, you would use the system’s abilities to release the others first since you wouldn’t have it anymore once you came to me."
"Why didn’t you tell us that?" Rean asked.
Roan, however, knew the answer. "We relied heavily on the system and its abilities. Default couldn’t tell about the loss of the system, as we might have given up helping him just so we wouldn’t lose the system."
"Bingo!" Default was happy Roan understood. "So, shall we leave?"
Rean watched as the Control Orb cracked even more. "What about Sister Orb?"
"Check your Dimensiona Realm," Default answered straight away.
Inside, the twins saw something new, a floating mass of energy, an energy that felt very familiar. "You pulled Sister Orb’s sentience out of the system?!"
"Of course!" Default confirmed. "She also helped you a lot, which means she also helped me. Why would I leave her in the Control Orb? I’m not a saint, but I know how to repay favors, okay? When you return to Lisan, you can release her in the Universe Foundation Pillar, and she should integrate with it again. If you wait a few hours, you will be able to talk to her, too."
Dafault asked once again. "So, shall we leave? Or could it be you are so addicted to the system and its special abilities that you just can’t leave it behind anymore? I still need you, though. You are Lisan’s Universe Owners."
"Hmph!" Roan snorted. "System, no system, I’ll only do the best with what I have. That’s all! Mamato, open the Abyssal Path. We are leaving!"
