Chapter 4228: The Threat To Kentucky’s Life

The Floating Islands of Time.

Kentucky had been having the time of his life, spending days and sometimes weeks just sleeping. He quickly got the respect of the other Minokawas, who approved of his laziness more than his cultivation prowess.

Turns out that Kentucky indeed never got involved in any kind of romantic relationships, nor has he ever had a partner. Lily-Yu sometimes bothered him, but she was more like Ratria-Ket and preferred to spend her time cultivating. That was quite rare in the Minokawa World.

Fortunately for Kentucky, she left the Lisan Universe over fifty thousand years ago and still hasn’t returned. She was out there, just like many other Divinities from Lisan, looking for her own rogue laws, in her case, Dark and Light.

Other than that, Kentucky also rebuilt his Kentucky Fan Club. He became immensely famous in the Lisan Universe Network, making numerous appearances here and there for all the young women. He truly couldn’t wish for anything better.

Today, Kentucky was on his nest, sleeping like a rock for the past three days nonstop. None of the Minokawas treated him differently due to his position, and everything worked just fine. He was living the dream... which wouldn’t last much longer.

*Burp...*

During his sleep, he burped as he digested a lot of rare metals in his stomach. The satisfied expression on his face was obvious for everyone to see. Little did he notice the arrival of three visitors, all of them looking at him. Who else could they be if not Rean, Roan, and Celis?

"Kentucky, wake up," Rean said, trying to move the enormous Minokawa.

"uhgum... just another two days, Luro-tu," he answered, not even bothering to open his eyes.

Rean sighed. "I wonder if it was really a good thing for him to also be included as Universe Owner."

"Wake up already!" Celis was not willing to wait anymore, though. When Rean contacted him and talked about their intention to move up, Celis finally saw some meaning in his life again.

The initial idea was to spend just a few tens of thousands of years in Lisan, but that ended up being over three hundred thousand! At some point, Celis just put himself to sleep and let time pass until the twins decided to go up as well.

Kentucky opened his eyes slightly, seeing Rean, Roan, and Celis there. "Oh... It’s you guys. Take the nest on the left. It is pretty cozy, even for humans and plants. Now, don’t bother me anymore. I still need some extra beauty sleep. This luster in my feather requires a lot of rest, and I can’t disappoint my fans."

Rean and Celis felt helpless... while Roan simply lost his patience.

*Bang!*

A powerful kick, using Sky Energy, Elements, and even Laws, sent Kentucky flying into the distance, breaking hundreds of the Minokawas’ Floating Islands in the process. Of course, Roan made sure those were empty Islands and controlled his power.

*Ouch...*

This time, Kentucky truly woke up. "Why did you do that? Couldn’t you wait for me to wake up first in a few days?"

Roan obviously couldn’t. "Enough bullshit. Get ready. We are going to the Celestial Plane."

"Uh?!" Kentucky was taken aback. "No, thanks. I’m fine here. You guys can go without me, though."

"Like hell we can!" Celis complained. "We need you to be able to cultivate there, remember? If your cultivation doesn’t go up, ours won’t either. Now, you have already spent over three hundred thousand years sleeping. That’s enough."

"Eh..." Kentucky truly had no interest in going to the Celestial Plane at all. "Why would we go there anyway? Cultivation? We are already invincible here in our Great Void. Is there any point?"

The commotion was heard by the other Minokawas, especially Kentucky’s mother, Ratria-Ket. "What is happening here? Oh! Rean, Roan, Celis! It’s been a while. Did this lazy idiot do something?"

Rean and the others turned to her. "Hi, senior Ratria. Answering your question, not really. It’s just that we finally decided it is time to go explore the Celestial Plane."

Ratria very much liked the idea! "Really?! Finally! I want you to tell me everything you find there, for when I decide to ascend myself. It will take a long time for my cultivation to reach that threshold, but I’ll definitely get there. You must promise me that."

Rean sighed, though. "I would very much like to promise you so. Unfortunately, Kentucky has no interest in going up whatsoever, so we are stuck here since we can’t cultivate if the four of us aren’t together."

"And I intend to stay," Kentucky added. "I will not abandon my paradise that easily."

"It’s either that, or I’ll have you make Lily-Yu your partner. I want grand kids!" Ratria spoke with an imposing tone.

"Hahaha! What a great day for adventure! The celestial plane, the new challenges, the new sights, the unknown!" Kentucky got on his feet in an instant. "What are we waiting for? Let go!"

"Hmph!" Ratria obviously knew very well what her kid hated the most after all these years. "Rean, Roan, Celis, keep this idiot in line. If he causes trouble, send him back, and I’ll make sure his egg-making time will start... and last very long. I want dozens of grand kids!"

Kentucky felt a chill on his spine. Just the idea of having a single kid already terrified him, let alone dozens of them! Even worse, to have them with the Minokawa he hated the most, Lily-Yu, was absolutely out of the question. That was basically the same as a threat to his life.

Rean, Roan, and Celis nodded at Ratria-Ket. "Leave it to us."

"By the way..." Kentucky remembered something and quickly changed the topic. "Just how exactly does one ascend to the Celestial Plane?"

"That’s what we are going to check right now," Roan answered.

Far away from there, in the Great Void, Default was working on something related to his Innate Ability when suddenly...

The twins’ group appeared nearby, and Sister Orb came together.

"Hum? All five of you? That’s a surprise," Default said as he stopped what he was doing. "Can I help with anything?"

Roan went straight into the main topic. "What do we have to do to ascend?"
