Chapter 4235: He Did Not Do That!
Chapter 4235: He Did Not Do That!
The hours passed, and the acclimatization did its job. The twins’ group could feel the backlash of the Celestial Realm disappearing to a point where they couldn’t even tell it was there anymore.
Corpar didn’t attend to the twins’ group alone, though. He left a few times, paying visits to other ascenders that appeared here and there. During those hours, the Rean and the others saw around ten or so extra ascenders appear on the Green Transfer Arrays close to them, and Corpar seemed to be the one in charge of them. There were other officials in further areas who took care of other Transfer Arrays.
Finally, Corpar came back and checked the twins’ group one last time. "Good. You are all fully accimatized to the Celestial Plane. There isn’t any part of your bodies that has a connection to your Home Great Void anymore. Hold tight. You will be teleported anytime now."
Sure enough, Corpar was right, and the twins’ group felt their bodies being dragged away by some kind of pulling force. Turns out they couldn’t even feel the space and time anymore. They didn’t lose any cultivation, and yet, it was as if they were starting to cultivate from scratch, even if that wasn’t really the case.
*Zush, zush, zush, zush!*
The twins’ group appeared in the New Arrival Hub. This time, there was only one Array, and everyone who finished the accimatization appeared in this place. Quite a few experts were waiting around, and they all looked at the Rean and the others.
As they did that, they also checked their own devices, something that was probably similar to Rean’s communication devices. The information Corpar put in there was checked by those experts, and they could tell what the initial tests told about the twins’ group.
Well, as one could imagine, the expressions of those representatives of the various powers didn’t look very excited. The very first piece of information was that the twins’ group didn’t match any of the cultivation aptitudes, not even gray.
But then, as they read more about the twins’ group, they finally got to the part where it said the twins’ group could use their Weapon Intents. There was a very mixed look on everyone’s faces. Something incredible just appeared, but this incredible thing was achieved by ascenders who didn’t even have the lowest aptitude. It almost felt like a bad joke from fate.
One of the experts there shook his head, turning around and returning to his seat. "They are all yours."
In his mind, regardless of how good Weapon Intents were, if there was no cultivation aptitude, there would be a limit to their achievements. Besides, it wasn’t that other experts couldn’t use Weapon Intents. It’s just that they needed a higher cultivation to fight against the restrictions of the Celestial Plane.
Once the cultivation realm was achieved, they would be able to use their weapon intents as well. The twins’ group’s advantage would only last so long, and then there would be no aptitude anymore to make full use of the initial advantage that the weapon intents gave them.
More of those experts began to turn around and return to their seats as well. None of them seemed very interested in recruiting the twins’ group.
"This wasn’t exactly what I expected," Rean couldn’t help but comment.
Roan didn’t mind, though. "That’s fine. I would rather stay alone. Now, this is where we part ways. We can keep in contact with each other through our connection to decide when we are stopping for cultivation."
Roan still hasn’t forgotten what he said before. He wasn’t required to stay close to Rean or anyone else anymore, so he definitely wouldn’t do so. He just needed everyone to be in the Celestial Plane so he could cultivate again.
Rean very much accepted the idea. "Great! I think I’m going to take a look at the area outside the Besgol Region first." Rean was pretty happy he didn’t need to stay close to Roan anymore, either.
Celis and Kentucky were different. "Kentucky, we can make more of our time if we stay together due to our synergy."
"Indeed," Kentucky agreed. "But you are the cultivation guy. You know me, I’m lazy. So, don’t expect me to cultivate that much. It was already a big compromise to come to the Celestial Plane when I didn’t want to."
Celis knew that. "Even if I have to cultivate for the four of us alone, I will still cultivate. I just need you to use your nest on my branches so I can achieve better results. You can even sleep if you feel like it."
"That you can count on me!" Kentucky was more than happy to stick with Celis now.
And with that, the four of them decided what they would do. Other than when they enter the Great Void together, they probably wouldn’t see each other’s faces again anytime soon... However, before they could go their own ways...
"Hello, friends," someone finally came to talk to them. In fact, of the fifty or so representatives of the various powers there, this guy was the only one to come forward. Everyone else gave up on the twins’ group.
Roan glanced at him. "What is it?"
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Clanda Tofins, an elder of the Wangamiglia Sect," Clanda started. "I’ve read the information regarding the four of you, and wonder if you wouldn’t be interested in joining my sect?"
Rean and the others looked at him. That was quite a weird request after seeing how everyone else reacted. Then, they noticed something else. The other representatives seemed to wear disdainful expressions as they looked at Clanda.
"And here comes the cliché," Roan commented with total lack of interest. "The worst power decides to recruit us, and then we prove to be great, and everyone regrets not recruiting us. Can this be any more boring?"
"What are you talking about?" Clanda asked back.
Rean scratched the back of his head. "Don’t worry about him. It’s just that we don’t have much of an interest in joining some weak powers, that’s all."
"Weak?" Clanda narrowed his eyes. "My Wangamiglia Sect is definitely in the top three of the most powerful organizations of the Besgol Region, okay? Where did you get this idea that we are weak? Also, what makes you think you are gonna be great or whatever?"
Now, that surprised Roan a little bit. "Then why, the moment you came to recruit us, everyone else began to look at you with disdain on their faces?"
"Oh! That!" Clanda understood the problem. "Because I have no choice. That’s the rule. All ascenders have to be recruited, and if we see someone none of us is interested in, we have a queue of forced acceptance. It’s my Wangamiglia Sect’s time to do it now. Rejoice! You are shit, but at least your luck is great! Of course, you can reject it. Personally, I would be very happy if you did so. I just can’t force it."
"This..." That was kind of an unexpected reason.
Well, they all wanted to be left alone anyway. Rean could already see Roan rejecting the offer with his cold voice.
"We accept," which was exactly what Roan did not do!
