Chapter 4268: The First Cultivation Test

Juanita and the other two guides found that to be a weird request. They were expecting the twins’ group to ask to bring them around the other half of area F17, which was in the Godly Creatures’ Territories and outside the Sacred Relic Influence. Yet, they asked to stay in one place just as they left the influence. "O-Okay..."

Still, they were just there to guide the twins’ group, so they took some distance and started to patrol the surroundings instead. At least they could warn the twins’ group if something approached.

Seeing the guides leaving to watch over the area, the twins’ group found an empty space and sat down. Celis and Kentucky returned to their original forms, and they finally started their cultivation.

Celestial Energy and Godly Pressure were necessary to create Godly Energy. According to Sister Orb, they can’t use Celestial Energy, but they can still absorb it for the merging of both powers. Of course, that part they already knew since there was Celestial Energy inside the Relic’s Influence. The Godly Pressure was the new thing there.

"This one is quite weird..." Rean was the first one to comment.

Godly Pressure wasn’t a type of energy. Starlight Energy, Soul Energy, and Celestial Energy were all different types with specific traits, but energies nonetheless. Godly pressure, on the other hand, didn’t fit in that category.

Celis also absorbed the Godly Pressure, and he could feel it restricting his power. "It sure is different. My own innate ability toward energies doesn’t seem to be of any use towards Godly Pressure. And yet, it sure works when it becomes Godly Energy."

As Roan absorbed the Godly Pressure, he managed to merge it with the Celestial Energy. He also felt strange, but after a while, he thought of an analogy. "Calling it ’merging’ doesn’t make sense. Instead, it is like when you are creating a diamond. You need extreme pressure to transform carbon into diamonds. A similar principle is being used here. The Godly Pressure is pressing the Celestial Energy, ultimately transforming it into Godly Energy. Some of its properties are indeed being added, but merging surely feels wrong."

[Now that you said that, doesn’t it look like the Chaos Origin Source of the Universes?]

"What do you mean?" The twins’ group asked.

[You know it. In the mortal planes, you have Spiritual Energy, and then you have Divine Energy in the Divine Realms. After that, you get Divine Origin Energy. But, at the end of the day, they are all by-products from Chaos Energy.]

[What you are doing with our new cultivation technique is to force the Celestial Energy into a different state. At least it does feel like that, don’t you think?]

"Hum..." Celis thought about it. "Could it be that there are things similar to Chaos Origin Sources in the Celestial Plane?"

Rean didn’t agree, though. "No, I think Sister Orb is wrong."

[How come?] Sister Orb was puzzled.

"Because the examples you gave were, as you said, by-products of Chaos Energy," Rean explained. "Chaos Energy was still the origin of everything in our Great Void. Celestial Energy, however, is not a by-product."

"How do you know it is not a by-product?" Kentucky asked this time.

"The Yin Yang," Roan was the one to answer, though. He reached the same conclusion as Rean. "The Yin Yang in the natural Celestial Energy is pure, different from the Yin Yang of by-product energies like what we used back in the Great Void. The only energy that had pure Yin Yang down in the Great Voids was the Chaos Energy, which, once again, was the origin of all the other energies."

[I see...] Sister Orb and the others understood. [Then my theory is definitely wrong. In that case, what we are doing is actually...]

"We are upgrading Celestial Energy," Celis also understood. "Roan’s analogy makes a lot more sense now. The Godly Pressure is forcing the creation of Godly Energy from Celestial Energy. But then... what is the Godly Pressure exactly?"

Roan shook his head in response. "That I don’t know. It is not an energy. That’s all we can say for certain. In any case, it makes sense that all Godly Creatures have Godly Crystals. They can naturally absorb Godly Pressure and even emit it, after all. The creation of Godly Energy in their bodies was simply a natural outcome after it pressured the Celestial Energy in their bodies. As I said, it’s a little similar to the diamond creation process."

"Alright," Celis didn’t want to waste time anymore. "If we want to recover our Godly Energy without using Godly Crystals, we need to do so outside the Sacred Relic’s Influence. Otherwise, we will be forced to waste our Godly Crystals for that same reason instead of using them for cultivation. Let’s start."

Everyone nodded, and they focused on their technique. They could feel The Echo in their bodies, guiding the Godly Pressure to the Celestial Energy. The result was the Godly Energy that came out little by little. Since Celestial Bodies don’t have cores or dantians anymore, everything was stored in the bodies themselves.

They continued doing that for the next several hours. They didn’t need all those hours to recover their reserves, though. Instead, most of the time they spent was actually cultivating after their reserves were full.

The guides, already finding it strange, couldn’t help but ask. "Friends, this should be more than enough time to get used to the Godly Pressure here, no? Are you sure you don’t want to move further into the Godly Creatures’ Territory? We can go all the way to the limit of the F17 area. The Godly Pressure here is too weak because it is too close to the Sacred Relic’s Influence."

The twins’ group refused. "There is no need. Here is good enough. But thank you for the warning, friends."

It is not that the twins’ group didn’t want to go further. Instead, it wouldn’t be of any use to do so. Yes, the Godly Pressure concentration here was pretty small. However, it was already more than they could use at once with their cultivations. Going somewhere with higher Godly Pressure wouldn’t change their cultivation speed at all. It would only put them into more danger for no reason.

The twins’ group spent a total of ten hours in the Godly Pressure part of F17. It was pretty calm, and no Godly Creatures appeared in the end. Finally, they thought it was enough for a day and made their way back to the watchpost.

On the way back, Celis commented through their connection. ’This is truly slow...’

Roan agreed. ’We only used fifteen or so minutes to recover our reserves, so we spent almost ten hours basically cultivating nonstop. And yet, if we compare to the use of Godly Spawn Crystals, we probably didn’t get more than ten crystals’ worth of work. Perhaps it was a similar amount to a single Godly Beast Crystal.’

[You will improve as your cultivation grows,] Sister Orb assured. [But, for now, Godly Crystals are indeed the fastest way to improve. Well, think about it like this: You are still doing better than the rest, who can only cultivate with Godly Crystals. At least you have a second source, even if it is slow.]

The twins’ group had to agree. They were already fortunate in that regard. ’Anyway, let’s go back, rest, and then go after the second group of Godly Creatures tomorrow. We need to get those Godly Crystals.’
