Chapter 4273: Extra Reinforcements

With the Godly Beasts gone, it didn’t take long for the twins’ group to finish the Godly Spawns. As one can imagine, a few tried to run away, but that was just a pipe dream with them around.

Juanita and the others finally approached, looking at the slaughter results around. "You managed to really kill them all..."

Rean nodded. "We basically lured them into a trap, that’s all. That allowed us to fight a Godly Beast each, while the others found it hard to approach for a while. When they finally freed themselves from the trap, we had already finished the first four. From there onwards, it was basically a question of time to end the fight."

Of course, there was no such thing as a trap. Rean could probably make some array that could work in that way, but he didn’t. First, because he barely has any material for it, and array materials cost money. Second, because they had their Godly Pressure Emission to test. He wouldn’t tell them that.

Roan walked past the guides, heading to the Godly Beasts’ corpses. "Make yourselves useful and help us take the Godly Crystals from the Godly Creatures."

"Ah! Yes, yes! We will help." The guides quickly started to work with the twins’ group.

A few hours later, the twins were back at the watchpost, talking to Woff. Woff found it strange, though. He wanted to see how the twins’ group killed the Godly Beasts this time with the recordings of their Ring Communicators. Yet, he found out that the Ring Communicators didn’t record anything. No, to be more specific, they did, but there was only blackness in the recording. "Did you mess with the Ring Communicators?"

Rean confirmed. "We did. We were using some personal secrets from back in our Great Voids. Don’t worry, we only covered the video images. The Ring Communicators still recorded all the kills normally. If there is any doubt about how many Godly Creatures we killed, you can check the RCs from the guides."

For Rean, it wasn’t that hard to work on the Ring Communicator to tamper with the videos. The Ring Communicators they had were pretty basic, and he had already taken a look at them during his free time.

Woff didn’t look very happy, though. "Manipulating the Ring Communicators is prohibited."

"Hum?" Rean looked puzzled. "That doesn’t make any sense. Everyone has some secrets they don’t want to show, and we aren’t different. What do you do in that situation then?"

Woff narrowed his eyes. "That’s why it has a function to only record the kills of Godly Creatures without any image recordings. Why didn’t you use that instead?"

"Eh?!" Rean was taken aback. "Was there such a function?"

Rean quickly entered the configurations of his Ring Communicator, and sure enough, although somewhat hidden, it was there. "Wow... how did I not notice it before?"

"Sigh... Seems like the guys in the sect failed to explain everything." Woff decided to let it slide. "Only this once. Just make sure you don’t mess with it again. When you do such a thing, the servers will catch the changes. The guys in the mainland won’t even warn you. They will simply come and punish you for breaking the rules. This time, however, I will put in a good word for them, explaining you didn’t know that. You have also been doing a great service, so they will consider that and shouldn’t make things difficult for you."

Rean and the others nodded. "Thank you, sir."

Woff changed the topic after that. "Now, you really managed to get rid of the third biggest group, and now only the two biggest ones remain. Those two are pretty similar in size, though. I’ve managed to get a good reading on them, so I can also provide you with the support of an Aura God."

Woff turned around, and one of the big screens changed, showing the map of the area where one of the two groups was located. Several images followed as well, obviously taken from the sky, likely by a drone or something similar. "There are a lot of trees, but it is still possible to see at least fifteen Godly Beasts. I believe there are around twenty, judging by the effects this group has on the Sacred Relic’s Influence."

The images continued to change. "As for Godly Spawns, there are almost a hundred. This group has already surpassed what you were brought here to do. So, on top of an Aura God, you will also get ten Anchor Gods to help with the cleaning of this group of Godly Creatures."

"Is it okay to move one of the Aura Gods from their positions?" Roan asked. From what they heard before, the Aura Gods were not supposed to leave and should always be ready to run back to the mainland.

"It’s not one of us," Woff explained. "The Aura God and the ten Anchor Gods are coming from the mainland. They should arrive by tomorrow morning. The Anchor Gods we have here can’t do much more than some guiding, like the three we assigned to you so far. And, as you know, the Aura Gods here can’t leave."

Roan found it a little bit underwhelming. "Even so, a single Aura God? Twenty Godly Beasts would make quick work of this cultivator. Ten Anchor Gods will definitely be trashed by a hundred Godly Spawns, too."

"Do you think I don’t know that?" Woff felt helpless. "The mainland still doesn’t think it is worth sending too many experts here. There are just too many watchposts to take care of. Also, after they got the reports of what you did, they believe this should be enough to come up with a plan to get rid of the remaining Godly Creatures."

That wasn’t very good for the twins’ group, though. They were intending to use the same tactics as before. It’s just that they would be using everything. First, eliminate as many Godly Spawn Stragglers as possible. Then, they would use their Godly Pressure disguise to kill more of the Godly Beasts, and finally, finish the rest with the Yin Yang Sanctuary.

But if they are fighting side by side with the Aura God and the Anchor Gods, the disguise and the Sanctuary couldn’t be used. The Ring Communicator couldn’t detect the Sanctuary, but other nearby cultivators definitely could. Well, not the sanctuary, but the sudden disappearance of Godly Pressure caused by the Sanctuary. Those helpers would most likely attribute the disappearance of the Godly Pressure to the twins’ group after all they had done.

Simply put, these new reinforcements might do more harm than good.
