Chapter 1090: New Plans

“There is something else I would like to help you with,” Yunohana murmured.

Still held against him, she lifted her face from his chest. Kaiden brushed his thumb over her back, quite happy to hear whatever she had in mind from their current position.

“The applications. I was the one who asked you to offer other people the life you gave Taigi’s kin. It would be rather poor of me to leave you to manage everything that follows.”

“I imagine Eclipse’s inbox is already having a miserable morning,” Aria murmured.

“We might need more people answering it,” Alexandra admitted, finally lowering his hand from her cheek. “People will have questions before they even think about visiting.”

Yunohana reached for the maid’s hand, giving it an affectionate squeeze.

“Then may I help arrange that? I would like to involve the Circle, and our government as well.”

“Your government?”

Nyx had stopped stroking his hair. Across his chest, Luna lifted her head to stare at their hostess.

“Are you serious? We just told the whole planet to come live in Kai’s dungeon. Japan must be thrilled about him inviting their citizens to stop being Japanese.”

“It does seem like something your colleagues might want to discuss,” Kaiden agreed. “You invited us here to help your country, Yuno. Now I’m asking people to leave it.”

The shrine maiden smiled at him with such serene confidence that he found himself waiting for the explanation.

She let him wait.

“Please leave your relations with Japan to me,” she said at last. “I shall represent you as your woman.”

Kaiden looked down at the beautiful woman in his arms. She appeared entirely comfortable making that promise, her hand resting over his heart while the others listened.

“Alright.”

Her smile warmed beneath his gaze, and he bent to kiss her forehead.

“Thank you, Yuno.”

“You are very welcome.”

“So it’s official, huh?” Calypso asked from behind him.

“Of course it’s official.” Luna gave Yunohana a thoroughly unimpressed look. “Bet they fucked all night. He smells of sex.”

“What? I washed him so thoroughly!”

Yunohana’s protest rang across the garden.

Luna stared at her.

“I was just kidding.”

Both of Yunohana’s hands flew to her mouth.

The grin that spread across Luna’s face was utterly victorious. She leaned back far enough to admire the shrine maiden’s burning cheeks, savoring every second while laughter broke out around them.

“Oh, I’m going to have so much fun messing with you. Your reactions are just fucking perfect, miss milf.”

Kaiden smirked, earning a wounded look from the woman he had just entrusted with his diplomatic relations.

“Kaiden…”

“Sorry, can’t help you. For the continued serenity of my family, I like to stay out of these… events between you ladies.”

That only made Calypso laugh harder against his back. “True! Darling only gets involved when something ugly happens, like the Gremlin shoving a dildo up Nyx’s behind.”

“Huh?!” Yunohana gasped, head snapping toward the Storm Valkyrie.

“Why must you bitches keep bringing that up?!” Luna stomped. “I already apologized so many times, and the Fatty is long over it. She even took revenge…”

“L-Luna, how could you be so cruel…?” Nyx began tearing up, wounded to the fullest. “I need counseling three times a week, and yet you pretend it’s nothing…”

“…Counseling? What, you finally hired a pro to deal with your calorie addiction?” Luna wasn’t impressed by her friend’s crocodile tears.

“Hehe. Actually, I lost a pound since we first met!” Nyx beamed, proud.

“Did you weigh yourself after sweating buckets?” Luna asked, eyes narrowed.

“…M-mmaybe…” Nyx admitted, cheeks pink.

“Look at this shameless bitch. You merely lost water weight. Bet you’re up five pounds since we met.”

“Muscle weighs more than fat,” Bastet offered.

Nyx immediately latched on to that. “That’s right!! I’ve been working out a lot, so it only makes sense!”

“…Whatever helps you sleep at night,” Luna shrugged.

With everyone shifting around him, Bastet finally loosened her hold on his head, allowing Nyx to lift her from his shoulders with [Telekinesis] and set her beside them.

Alice remained attached to his left side, her cheeks puffed into a ferocious pout ever since Yunohana’s self-admission.

“Hmph!!!!!”

Kaiden rubbed his sister’s head. She accepted the attention while glaring at Yunohana, quite determined to make her displeasure known.

“So much for not ending your first date in bed, Yuno~” Nyx teased.

“I…”

The shrine maiden lowered her hands. Between Luna’s delighted grin and Aria’s fond amusement, she could find nobody likely to help preserve what remained of her dignity.

“The date was over by then.”

Luna bent forward, wheezing.

“Oh, she fits in beautifully,” Nyx declared, slipping an arm around Yunohana as Kaiden reluctantly let her go.

Aria kissed his cheek before releasing his other arm.

“I’m glad you two had a lovely night.”

There was so much warmth in her voice that Yunohana’s embarrassed attempt at composure softened. She took Aria’s offered hand, and Kaiden watched the two women draw together with a happiness he made no effort to hide.

He had enjoyed having Yunohana to himself. Seeing her standing among his girls, blushing while they teased and accepted her, made him eager to spend the rest of the day with all of them.

“We did,” he answered. “Thank you, my beautiful moon. You’ve been truly great to Yuno.”

“Good. You noticed,” the Moon Valkyrie smiled softly.

…

By the time they turned toward the palace, Yunohana had recovered enough to discuss the applications without Luna making her cover her face again.

“With the government’s help, we could arrange transport for the families you invite,” she said. “The shelters would be a good place to reach those who need it most.”

“And they should travel for free,” Kaiden added. “Between Eclipse, our sponsors, and the people willing to help, we can manage that much. We’ll cover the trip back too if they don’t stay.”

Yunohana glanced toward Taigi, still standing beside the palace steps.

“May I assume you no longer intend to conceal the Japanese entrance? People saw you here with Taigi this morning. They will wonder how you returned to your dungeon while visiting Japan.”

Kaiden nodded to Yunohana.

“It would come out sooner or later anyway. We have people to help. I’d like to put that entrance to use instead of wasting time trying to hide it.”

“We’ll need a lot of people reviewing the applications first,” Alexandra said as she joined them. “We can’t invite everyone who writes. Someone has to read what they send us and decide who we can bring in for an assessment.”

“Of course. I shall ask the Circle and the government to provide staff as well.”

“Yuno…”

Kaiden caught her hand before she could follow Alexandra up the steps. At his gentle squeeze, she turned back to him.

“I love you and Japan both, and I’m grateful for how much you’re trying to help. But I don’t know your government well enough to let their people choose who we invite into our home.”

“They’ve been wonderful to us,” he continued. “I just… haven’t had the best experiences with governments. I’d feel much better leaving the applications with Eclipse’s own staff. If we need more help, Mother could approach the sponsors she trusts.”

“Ah,” Yunohana smiled and shook her head at herself.

“I got a little ahead of myself. Your people will understand what you’re looking for better than mine.”

She brushed her thumb over his fingers, quite content to let him keep her hand.
