Demonic Po*nstar System

Chapter 581: The Heavenly Demon’s Challenge

Chapter 581: The Heavenly Demon’s Challenge

"Is that the Heavenly Demon...?" she whispered so low that the words were only scraping out of her throat.

The pieces aligned fast once they started moving. Power left the giant, compressing into the orb. "The Demonic Pornstar System..."

Her eyes snapped back to Kaiden as realization hit.

"Tasked by its maker, the system found you," she murmured, chest tight. "It chose you as the Successor."

Aria lifted her hands slowly, watching energy gather at her fingertips.

"And you chose me. You accepted me as your Valkyrie, your partner for life. Empowered by the system, you granted me my powers so that I can stay at your side..."

Aria’s lips curved upward.

The tension that had been coiled through her shoulders eased as her stance settled, weight distributing evenly across her feet. Her breathing steadied, no longer sharp or rushed. The pounding in her chest remained, yet it carried a different rhythm now, one that aligned with the heavy pulse still rolling outward from Kaiden’s unmoving form.

Concern drained from her expression.

"... So that’s how it is," she said quietly, eyes fixed on him. "I have to prove that I’m worthy of standing by your side."

Then she paused. "No..."

Her gaze lifted from Kaiden and tracked back toward the distant throne, toward the horned figure sitting in shadow. The smile on her face sharpened, edges tightening as something fierce took hold behind her eyes.

"This isn’t about saving my Kai from danger or proving myself to him." She squinted.

Aria squared her shoulders and rolled her neck once, observing the shadowy giant in the distance. "This is about proving that I’m worthy of standing beside your Successor, demon."

The yandere did not like her right to stand by Kai’s side being brought into question, evidenced by her cold glare.

That was when the moon beneath her feet answered her question for good.

Cracks spidered outward across the pale surface, jagged lines tearing through the ground with a grinding roar. The shock rolled through Aria’s legs, yet she didn’t flinch. She jumped back, creating distance.

The surface split open.

Something forced its way up through the fractured stone, hauling itself free with violent strength. Limbs followed, long and heavy, coated in pale dust as a creature dragged its bulk into the open. Its form was warped yet eerily elegant.

Aria’s grin widened.

A pulse of light gathered in front of her, tight and controlled, coalescing into solid form. A staff materialized midair, its shaft smooth and cool as it dropped toward her waiting hand. She caught it cleanly, fingers wrapping around the grip with practiced ease.

Power surged.

Moonlit force climbed the length of the staff, pooling at its tip in a dense glow that pressed outward against the air. The pressure rolled across the cracked surface, stirring dust and loose fragments as Aria planted the butt of the weapon against the ground.

"So be it," she said, voice carrying clearly across the domain. Her eyes flicked once toward Kaiden, softening for a fraction of a second before snapping back to the creature. "I’ll show you, damned demon."

She angled the staff forward. The energy at its tip thickened, tightening under her control as her smile sharpened into something openly possessive.

"No one," Aria continued, teeth showing as her grip tightened, "is more fit to lift your chosen to the greatest of heights than me. I will be the one to kiss him lovingly when he achieves things you never even dared to imagine! I’ll be there, holding his hand tightly, when he surpasses who you were at your peak, becoming stronger, better, more complete!"

The creature roared as it tore itself fully free of the moon’s surface.

Aria welcomed it.

...

Elsewhere, in four unique locations...

The world snapped into motion with a crack of thunder. Luna stood on fractured stone suspended above nothing, the sky overhead boiling with layered storm fronts that collided and folded into each other without rhythm or mercy. Lightning crawled across the clouds in branching veins, answering the presence of the girl below as if recognizing its owner.

Luna laughed, sharp and bright, shoulders loose as power surged into her grip. Her Stormblade had already formed in her hand, jagged and alive, arcs snapping off its edge and biting into the air. Across from her, something massive pushed its way out of the storm itself, a silhouette stitched together from cloud density and pressure, eyes glowing like distant strikes about to land.

She pointed her blade forward, toward the shadowy figure of the Heavenly Demon in the distance, and declared with a feral grin and a pointed middle finger, she decreed, "I’ll show you!"

The sky screamed as she lunged, lightning following her like a loyal pack.

...

Nyx floated in silence.

Her domain was space stripped bare of comfort, a vast black expanse scattered with cold light and drifting debris. Broken weapons, shattered stone, fragments of structures that had never existed in the same world all hovered behind her in a slow, controlled orbit. Each piece was perfectly placed, held by invisible force and intent.

Ahead of her, an enemy unfolded itself from a tear in the void, geometry bending wrong as it emerged, limbs assembling out of overlapping planes and compressed darkness.

Nyx didn’t blink.

"I’ll show you. You don’t get to question my devotion."

Her fingers flicked forward.

The objects behind her launched as one, a storm of controlled devastation tearing through the void with precise violence.

...

Heat ruled Bastet’s domain.

She stood atop endless dunes that shifted and rolled like a living sea, sand lifting into the air in constant motion as waves of pressure passed through it. Above, a white-hot sun burned low and heavy, its presence oppressive, its gaze unblinking. Every breath tasted dry. Every movement carried weight.

Something rose from the dunes ahead, a massive shape dragging itself free as glassy sand fused and cracked along its body, heat warping the space around it.

Bastet lifted her chin, eyes hard, unamused.

"I’ll show you, demon."

The sun answered.

Solar force crashed downward, the dunes exploding outward as she stepped into the light, absolute and unyielding.

...

Calypso’s world was a wound.

An abyss stretched endlessly beneath her boots, black stone slick and broken, the air thick with depth and pressure that pressed in from all sides. Faint shapes moved far below, never reaching the surface, never stopping. The darkness here wasn’t empty. It watched.

A massive figure hauled itself up from the abyssal edge, chains dragging behind it, body scarred and heavy, eyes burning with violent intent.

Calypso rolled her shoulders and grinned, fingers tightening around the haft of her massive axe.

"I’ll show you, even if it’s the last thing I do! How dare you question my right to stand next to Darling?!"

She exploded forward.

...

And while the Valkyries set out to prove their devotion and right to stand by the side of the love of their life, Kaiden faced the Bottomless One.
