Chapter 1335 Allen Spencer

Chapter 1335  Allen Spencer

After spending some time with Alice and Lenavira, Max arrived at the Tower of Truth. The moment he stepped inside, the crushing pressure of ascension that had been constantly weighing on his body vanished without a trace, allowing him to finally stand properly and breathe without restraint.

Only then did he truly realize how extraordinary the Tower of Truth was, because it did not merely test them but also completely blocked the force of ascension that the world itself imposed. As long as he remained within the tower, the world could not push him toward the Divine Realm no matter how strong he became.

It meant that if Max truly wished to delay his ascension indefinitely, he could remain here for his entire life. He knew he would never choose such a path, yet having the choice itself brought him a strange sense of calm.

Max decided to stay within the Tower of Truth for another month. Instead of using that time to cultivate or comprehend laws, he chose something far more precious. He invited Alice and Lenavira into the tower, making use of its authority to freely bring them in and out.

The Tower of Truth, which had once been a place of trials, judgments, and a goal for countless geniuses, became strangely lively during that month. Max spent his days walking through the vast halls with the two girls, exploring hidden chambers, laughing over trivial things, and simply enjoying moments of peace that felt almost unreal after everything they had endured.

Sometimes they would sit together on the high platforms of the tower, looking down at the endless space within it, talking about the past, the future, and dreams that no longer felt impossible.

There were days when Max sparred lightly with them, carefully restraining his strength while teaching them techniques and correcting their flaws, turning training into something closer to play than hardship.

There were nights when they shared meals inside the tower, food brought in from the outside world, laughing as if the weight of worlds had never rested on Max's shoulders. Alice's laughter echoed freely, no longer burdened by fear of loss, while Lenavira's smile became brighter with each passing day.

For Max, those moments were more precious than any breakthrough or treasure, because they reminded him why he had fought so desperately in the first place.

The month passed quietly, almost too quickly, like a fleeting dream that one wished would last a little longer. When the time finally came for Max to leave the Tower of Truth and face his ascension, he did so with a calm heart.

That month of leisure, laughter, and warmth had grounded him more firmly than any cultivation ever could, giving him the resolve to step into the Divine Realm without regret.

It was then that Max's senses rang out in sharp warning as an unfamiliar fluctuation rippled through the world. The change was subtle yet absolute, carrying an authority that could not be ignored. Max excused himself from Alice and Lenavira with a gentle smile, assuring them he would return soon, and his figure vanished from the Tower of Truth in a blink.

He reappeared in a barren forest where the land itself felt quiet and restrained, as if all life had consciously withdrawn. There were no beasts, no insects, no birds, not even the faint pulse of hidden vitality beneath the soil.

At the center of this lifeless expanse stood a lone figure with his back facing Max, a golden crown resting upon his head and radiating a calm, dignified brilliance that blended seamlessly with the world. Max immediately understood what he was seeing. The crown had finally chosen its bearer.

The figure slowly turned around, sensing Max's presence without fear or hesitation. Their eyes met, and Max realized that the young man before him was someone he had never seen before. There was no trace of arrogance or confusion in his gaze, only clarity and resolve.

The moment the young man recognized Max, he immediately dropped to one knee and bowed his head deeply in respect.

"Lord Max," he said with sincerity that carried no pretense.

Max stepped forward at once and lifted him up by the arm, his expression firm but kind. "What are you doing?" Max said calmly. "You are now the crownbearer of this world. You are someone who chose to give up your life, your family, your future, and everything you had for the sake of this world. You do not need to kneel before me. Stand straight."

The young man hesitated for only a moment before nodding solemnly and standing upright. Even then, his posture carried a quiet humility rather than forced confidence.

"What is your name?" Max asked, observing him more closely and noting that he could not be more than a few years into adulthood.

"I am Allen Spencer," the young man replied with a respectful smile that felt genuine and untainted.

Max nodded. "Allen, then tell me how it feels to wield the power of a god. Do you feel anything uncomfortable? Any darkness or foreign thoughts lingering within you?"

Allen tilted his head slightly as if carefully examining his own state before answering. "No. I feel very positive. My thoughts are clear, calm, and steady. It feels like the sky above me after a storm has passed."

Max released a quiet breath of relief and nodded again. That answer alone told him everything he needed to know. There was no trace of the True Origin Devil Blood left within the crown.

Just then, two figures appeared beside Max as space rippled softly. Freya and Lucien arrived almost simultaneously, their gazes immediately locking onto the golden crown resting on Allen's head. For a brief moment, surprise crossed their faces before their attention shifted to Max.

"Is he…" Freya began, her voice trailing off.

Max nodded. "He is the current crownbearer of this world."

Freya studied Allen carefully, her expression easing as she sensed the purity of the crown's aura. "He is quite young," she said quietly.

Lucien smiled faintly as he looked at Allen. "But if the crown chose him, then there will be no problem."
