Chapter 1346 Silencing the crowd again!

Chapter 1346  Silencing the crowd again!

"Damn, Max is doomed. I never thought Dean would be the one to fight him. What terrible luck," someone muttered from the stands, their voice filled with regret as eyes across the colosseum turned toward the massive figure standing opposite Max.

The tension that had settled earlier now grew heavier, and murmurs began to spread as people remembered exactly who Dean was and what kind of existence he represented within the Divine Colosseum.

"Yeah, who would have thought it would be this Dean who would battle Max," another spectator said, shaking their head.

"Dean once won all ten of his battles and even challenged the Grim Gladiator, although he was defeated in the end. Since that day, we have hardly ever seen Dean fight in the arena again."

A third voice joined in with a knowing tone, explaining that there were certain privileges granted to those who lived within the Divine Colosseum, and after battling the Grim Gladiator, Dean must have gained such privileges, which explained his rare appearances.

"I can only feel pity for Max," someone else sighed. "His strength is impressive, but Dean is famous for his monstrous power, and just by looking at them, it is obvious whose fists carry greater weight."

After the brief silence, the crowd erupted once again, but this time it was not with excitement or admiration for Max. Instead, it was filled with pity and resignation, because not a single person among them believed that Max still had a chance against Dean. In their eyes, the outcome already seemed decided before the battle had even begun.

"What do you think?" Jaden asked as she turned toward Lucia, her expression serious as she searched for any sign of doubt or concern.

"I think Max will win easily," Lucia replied with a calm smile, her confidence standing in sharp contrast to the mood of the crowd.

"Why do you have so much confidence in him?" Jaden asked, clearly surprised by Lucia's certainty.

"If nothing else, you need confidence in your own strength to demand consecutive battles without taking any rest," Lucia said as her eyes remained glued to Max's figure in the arena. "Since Max wanted a second battle immediately after finishing his first one, I believe he does not place any Divine Rank warriors in his eyes at all. For all I know, his gaze has already been fixed on the Grim Gladiator."

She paused briefly before adding that she believed Max intended to obtain his freedom here while Aunt Virelia arranged for someone to come and take him away.

Jaden looked at Lucia deeply, her expression complicated. "You place too much trust in him. Even though I know Max is a genius, this Dean is also someone who should not be underestimated."

"We will see," Lucia said with a small smile as her attention returned to the arena, where the battle was finally about to begin.

"Any last words?" Dean asked as he faced Max, his voice as heavy and oppressive as his massive body, carrying a weight that pressed down on the arena and made even the air feel dense.

"Are you going for the kill?" Max asked calmly, his tone curious rather than wary as he looked at Dean without the slightest hint of tension.

"No," Dean replied after a brief pause. "Even though I could kill you and nothing would happen to me, I do not hate you enough to do that. However, I have been tasked with making you heavily injured so that you cannot continue fighting your next battles." His words were blunt and honest, spoken without malice, as though he were simply stating a fact that could not be changed.

"Is that so?" Max said as he nodded slowly, a faint smile appearing on his face as if Dean's words amused him rather than concerned him. "Then who will be making the first move?" he asked next, his posture relaxed as he waited for the answer.

"Of course, it will be me," Dean said with a smile of his own as he tightened his grip around the massive axe in his hands. In the next instant, waves of mana surged violently from his body, spreading outward like an invisible tide as he raised the weapon high and swung it down toward Max with terrifying force.

The axe was infused with the fifth level concept of strength, and as it descended, its power multiplied, carrying with it an overwhelming pressure that seemed capable of splitting the arena itself apart.

Max merely smiled lightly in response as he activated the 1200 Draconic Essences within his body once more, their power surging through his veins in a controlled yet explosive manner. He raised his left hand and met the descending axe head on, and a deafening bang echoed through the Divine Colosseum as his palm caught the weapon with astonishing ease, completely stopping its momentum.

Before Dean could even react, Max clenched his right fist and drove it forward, slamming it directly into Dean's massive body with devastating force.

The impact exploded outward with a thunderous boom, and Dean was sent flying like a missile, his enormous frame tearing through the air as he was launched straight out of the Divine Colosseum.

The moment Dean's massive body was sent flying out of the Divine Colosseum, the entire world inside the arena seemed to freeze in place, as if time itself had been forcibly halted by what they had just witnessed.

No cheers erupted, no gasps followed, and not a single voice rose from the countless spectators packed into the stands, because everyone had fallen into a state of absolute silence, their minds unable to process how such a scene could even be real.

Faces were locked in rigid disbelief, mouths hung slightly open, and eyes remained wide as they followed the empty trajectory Dean had carved through the air, struggling to accept that a man who had once challenged the Grim Gladiator had been defeated in such a brutal and effortless manner.

Even the announcer, whose voice had never failed to echo through the colosseum after every decisive exchange, stood frozen in place, his mind completely blank as he stared at the arena floor where Max still stood calmly.

The words that should have declared Max's victory refused to come out, caught somewhere between shock and disbelief, and for the first time in the history of the Divine Colosseum, there was no immediate announcement to mark the end of a battle.

The oppressive quiet stretched on, heavy and suffocating, as if the entire colosseum had collectively forgotten how to breathe, let alone speak.

Max remained standing in the center of the arena, his posture relaxed and unhurried, yet the sight of him only deepened the shock gripping everyone present.

No one dared to say his name, no one dared to break the silence, because the scene before them had shattered every expectation they held about strength within the Divine Rank.
