Chapter 1347 Poor Henry!
Chapter 1347 Poor Henry!
The silence continued for a few long seconds, so heavy that it felt as if the entire Divine Colosseum had been sealed shut, before scattered voices finally broke through, each one trembling with disbelief and shock as the reality of what they had witnessed began to sink in.
"Did anyone else see that, or am I dreaming right now, because Dean was just thrown out like he weighed nothing at all," one spectator whispered hoarsely, his voice barely louder than the pounding of his own heart.
"This is impossible, absolutely impossible, Dean survived a battle against the Grim Gladiator and yet he could not even withstand a single exchange," another person said, clutching the railing in front of them as if they needed support to remain standing.
"He caught the axe with his bare hand, that axe carried the level concept of strength, and yet Max stopped it as if it were nothing," a third voice said slowly, every word filled with disbelief as their gaze remained locked on Max's unmoving figure in the arena.
"The announcer is not even speaking, I have never seen a battle end like this before, it feels like the colosseum itself has been stunned," someone else muttered, finally noticing that the familiar booming voice had completely disappeared.
"This is no longer about luck or talent, this Max is something else entirely, and we might be witnessing the birth of a genius," another spectator said quietly, their tone filled with awe rather than excitement.
And then, as if a dam had finally broken, the Divine Colosseum erupted once more, the stunned silence shattering into a deafening roar as countless voices surged together, shaking the arena with a frenzy far greater than anything that had come before.
"…The winner of the battle is Max Morgan," the announcer finally declared, his voice returning after a long delay and accompanied by an awkward, almost embarrassed laugh, as though he himself still could not believe the words he was saying.
The moment the announcement echoed through the Divine Colosseum, the tension that had been suffocating everyone finally found an outlet, yet even then many spectators remained frozen, staring at Max as if he were something that should not exist.
"What did I tell you?" Lucia said as she smirked and turned toward Jaden, whose expression was still one of complete shock.
Jaden's mouth remained slightly open, mirroring the countless others around them, because no matter how many times she replayed the scene in her mind, she still could not comprehend how someone could overpower Dean in a direct clash of raw strength without suffering so much as a scratch.
Jaden finally closed her mouth and nodded heavily, her gaze still fixed on the arena. "I take my words back," she said slowly. "This Max is indeed a monstrous genius."
Her tone held no reluctance, only honest acknowledgment, yet the admiration in her eyes quickly gave way to concern as her expression turned grim. "But this also means trouble. The Divine Colosseum is owned by the Heron Family, and knowing them, they will use any means necessary to get their hands on Max now that he has revealed this level of strength."
Lucia nodded in agreement, her brows knitting together as she considered the implications. "You are right about that," she said quietly, before her eyes sharpened with resolve.
She raised her wrist and tapped lightly on her watch, causing a hologram to bloom into existence above it. Her fingers moved swiftly as she input several commands, and after a brief moment she nodded to herself. "Done. I have informed Aunt Virelia about Max's situation." She let out a small breath before adding, "Now let us see his last battle for the day."
Jaden nodded as well, her attention returning fully to the arena just as Max lifted his head and spoke loudly with a relaxed smile. "Make my last battle for the day," he said, his voice clear and confident.
The announcer did not dare hesitate this time and immediately responded, his tone far more energetic than before. "The last battle of the day for Max Morgan will now be matched."
At his words, the familiar matchmaking hologram appeared once more in the sky above the arena, Max's name glowing on one side while the opposing name scrolled rapidly on the other, flashing through countless possibilities before finally coming to a stop.
Max versus Henry.
"Henry Rawl, come to the arena for your first battle," the announcer announced, his voice echoing across the colosseum as anticipation quietly began to build once again.
Several minutes passed before a figure finally made his way toward the arena entrance, and as Henry stepped into view, all eyes slowly shifted toward him, waiting to see what kind of opponent would stand before Max in the final battle of the day.
"God damn it, I am unbelievably unlucky to be matched with you," Henry cursed the moment he stepped into the arena and stood opposite Max, his expression filled with a mix of frustration and resignation as he glanced at the calm figure before him.
"I guess that makes it your unlucky day," Max replied with a grin, his tone light as if they were merely exchanging pleasantries rather than preparing for a battle in the Divine Colosseum.
"I should have stayed in my mortal world and ruled it in peace," Henry said with a bitter smile, regret clearly written across his face as he shook his head. "Ascending turned out to be the worst decision I ever made."
"What made you ascend to the Divine Realm in the first place?" Max asked curiously, genuinely interested as he tilted his head slightly.
Henry's expression softened as he smiled widely, his eyes reflecting distant memories. "There was a rumor in my world that beyond it existed another vast realm, and that our planet was nothing more than a tiny speck compared to that greater world," he explained. "I wanted to know whether those rumors were true, so the moment I reached the tenth level of Divine Rank, comprehended my fifth level concept, and released my mana at full capacity, I was suddenly pulled here without any warning."
He let out a long sigh before adding, "I truly regret it now."
Max almost laughed at Henry's words, but he managed to hold it in and simply nodded in understanding. "That is truly a sad way to ascend," he said, his voice carrying a hint of sympathy.
The instant those words left Max's mouth, Henry's figure vanished and reappeared directly in front of him, revealing that his path focused on speed, allowing him to cross the distance in the blink of an eye.
"Sorry, but I have to do this," Henry said quickly as he threw a punch toward Max, his fist wrapped in the fifth level concept of speed, moving so fast that it was nearly invisible to the naked eye.
"Same here, buddy," Max sneered calmly as he caught Henry's fist as though it carried no weight at all. In the next moment, Max tightened his grip, lifted Henry up by his arms, and with a single smooth motion hurled him out of the arena and into the stands, his body disappearing from sight in an instant.
Just like that, Max's final battle of the day came to an end, leaving behind yet another stunned silence in the Divine Colosseum as everyone tried to accept how effortlessly it had concluded.
