Chapter 1393 Full Release of Seven Divine Veins!
Sensing that his attacks had no effect on Revona and realizing that all the power gathered in his fists vanished before they could truly strike her, Max stepped back, his expression turning solemn and focused.
The ease with which his strength was erased unsettled him deeply, yet it also sharpened his resolve rather than breaking it. He studied her carefully, as though trying to peer beyond the surface and grasp the nature of the terrifying existence standing before him.
"Is this some kind of class skill or a technique?" Max asked, his voice steady despite the storm of thoughts raging within him.
"What do you think?" Revona replied calmly, her tone carrying an unsettling confidence.
After a moment of contemplation, Max spoke again, his words slow and deliberate. "Whatever this is, I have never seen anything like it. To reduce all the power behind my fists to nothing before they even land cannot be the effect of a conventional technique. That much I am certain of. It could be related to a cosmic path, but you are clearly not at a level where you could have comprehended or stabilized such a path. The only explanation left is that you were born with this ability."
Revona's eyes narrowed slightly beneath her mask. "You are quite sharp for a mortal," she said coldly. "But it changes nothing. You are destined to lose this battle against me. You will never be able to land a proper attack, and that will be the end of it."
Max frowned faintly at her words. "What do you mean when you say I am destined to lose here?" he asked aloud, before continuing through voice transmission. "You said yourself that you cannot see my fate, so how can you be so certain that I am destined to lose against you?"
Revona's lips curved into a mysterious smile. "It is because I never lose," her voice echoed directly in his mind. "Whether I can see your fate or not is irrelevant. What truly matters is my own strength. I have never lost a battle since the moment I was born, and because of that, I believe that no matter what you do, you are destined to lose against me."
"I see," Max replied with a faint smile, nodding slowly as though he had accepted her reasoning. "I suppose there is a time for everything."
As those words left his lips, Max took a deep breath, and the air around him seemed to grow tense, as though the world itself were bracing for something to happen. His eyes sharpened, and in a low voice meant only for himself, he muttered, "Vein of Origin, opened."
The moment he fully released the Vein of Origin, the first and most fundamental of the Seven Divine Veins, it was as though invisible shackles shattered within his body. A violent shockwave erupted outward from him, sweeping across the arena like an unstoppable tide.
The ground beneath his feet trembled, and the air howled as if struggling to contain the sudden surge of power. White mist mixed with radiant energy poured out from his body, while an ancient, overwhelming pressure descended upon the entire arena, forcing many spectators to instinctively hold their breath.
Max's muscles tightened and expanded subtly as his raw physical strength climbed at an explosive rate. The power of twelve hundred Draconic Essences no longer flowed in a restrained manner but surged freely, amplified and refined by the Vein of Origin until it reached a terrifying peak.
Every movement of his body carried an oppressive weight, and even a slight shift of his stance caused the surrounding air to distort. It felt as though his very existence had grown heavier, denser, and infinitely more dangerous, as if a primordial force had awakened within him.
At that moment, Max stood like a living embodiment of raw origin power, his aura blazing with ancient authority.
The pressure radiating from him made it clear that his strength was no longer merely that of a powerful genius, but something closer to an unstoppable force of nature that refused to be suppressed any longer.
"This…!" Revona exclaimed softly, genuine shock finally breaking through her calm as she felt the terrifying surge of power erupt from Max without any warning. For the first time since stepping into the arena, her composure wavered, because the pressure rolling toward her was no longer something that could be dismissed or casually ignored.
She was not the only one shaken. Every high level figure present felt the sudden change as clearly as if a storm had descended upon the arena. The air itself seemed heavier, and the oppressive aura radiating from Max forced even seasoned experts to instinctively tense their bodies.
"This is… Seven Divine Veins," Matthew Grimes muttered in disbelief, his eyes fixed on Max as though he were witnessing something that should not exist. "How is this even possible? A mortal achieving this is unheard of. Even in the Divine Realm, opening a single vein of the Seven Divine Veins is impossible for most humans. How did this kid manage to do it?"
He had heard of only a few humans who had managed to open a divine vein of the Seven Divine Veins but even then they were from the first rate forces in the Divine Realm. He couldn't fathom how someone like Max who was from the mortal realm could possibly open a divine vein of the Seven Divine Veins.
Garry Heron, the head of the Heron Family, echoed that shock, his voice carrying a mixture of awe and disbelief. "This is unbelievable. The Seven Divine Veins are practically a myth in the Divine Realm. The path of cultivation tied to them is so distant and so unattainable that most people have long forgotten it entirely. The true path of body cultivation has faded into legend. How did this kid manage to walk it?"
As he spoke, a burning jealousy surged within him. In the past, he had only felt mild regret that the Heron Family had failed to recruit Max, but now that regret transformed into something far more intense. It felt like molten lava churning in his chest as he looked at Matthew, fully realizing what kind of monster the Grimes Family had taken under their wing.
The other family heads of the Black Dragon Clan were no less shaken. They all knew of the Seven Divine Veins, because it represented the orthodox and ultimate path of body cultivation, yet opening even one vein was considered nearly impossible within the Divine Realm.
To witness a mortal who had ascended barely three months ago standing there with a fully opened Divine Vein struck them to their very cores.
