Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1397 Another Inheritance for Lightning!

Chapter 1397  Another Inheritance for Lightning!

After returning to his room, Max found that his thoughts refused to settle. Tian's words about his class echoed repeatedly in his mind, intertwining with the image of Revona and her Void Origin Eyes. The weight of those revelations lingered, stirring both unease and anticipation deep within him.

"There is no use thinking about it right now," Max sighed softly as he sat down on the bed, forcing himself to focus on matters that demanded immediate attention. His gaze sharpened as his thoughts aligned. "What I truly need are proper inheritance techniques for my flames and ice."

Now that he clearly understood that the inheritance techniques he had learned back in Obsidian Dragon City were largely ineffective in the Divine Realm, the urgency to obtain stronger and more suitable techniques became impossible to ignore. Those mortal realm inheritances had served their purpose, but continuing to rely on them would only limit his growth.

With that decision made, Max closed his eyes and entered the Dimension of Flames. The world greeted him just as it always had. Vast and silent, with a towering pillar standing at its center, atop it were many whisps of flames he had currently.

Each flame carried a different aura, yet none of them felt complete, as though they were fragments waiting to be refined into something greater.

"I really need to unlock the Inheritance Chamber of this dimension," Max muttered, a deep frown forming on his face. He had already unlocked the inheritance chamber of the Dimension of Lightning, something he attributed to the seven lightnings of divine punishment he had once endured and was sealed in there.

Unfortunately, he had no idea what conditions were required to unlock the inheritance chamber of the Dimension of Flames, let alone the Dimension of Time.

There were still too many unknowns. Max had already mastered the concept of ice to the fifth level, and by all logic, a Dimension of Ice should have manifested long ago. Yet it remained sealed, unreachable no matter how much he tried to sense it.

According to Tian, the root of the problem was simple but frustrating. His strength was still insufficient. Only after reaching the Rebirth Realm would many of these dormant aspects truly awaken and reshape his path.

Letting out another quiet sigh, Max exited the Dimension of Flames and entered the Dimension of Lightning instead. The moment he arrived, familiar pressure washed over him. Without hesitation, he headed straight toward the Inheritance Chamber and stepped into the world of floating islands once more.

This was the place where Storm King's Inheritance had been obtained. Back then, only a single island had been accessible to him, the one closest to his position.

Now, however, the scene had changed dramatically. Numerous islands floated throughout the vast sky, each one radiating a distinct lightning aura, each one representing a different inheritance waiting to be claimed.

Max stood still for a moment, his eyes sweeping across the countless islands as he assessed them carefully. After a while, his gaze locked onto the farthest island in the distance, barely visible through the lightning filled sky.

A quiet certainty formed in his heart. Based on the logic governing this place, the inheritance contained on that distant island should be the strongest lightning inheritance currently available to him among all the unlocked islands.

Although Storm King's Inheritance had already proven its worth, Max knew it could not be the final answer. He needed something more decisive, something that could serve as his true trump card.

Ever since he had taken away the sword of the Sword Sovereign, he understood that confrontations like the one he faced today would only become more frequent and far more dangerous.

If he wanted to survive what awaited him in the Divine Realm, he could not rely on a single pillar of strength. He needed an inheritance that could end a battle in an instant, one that could overwhelm even those who believed themselves untouchable.

With that thought firmly in mind, Max floated upward and crossed the vast distance separating him from the farthest floating island. Lightning roared softly around him as he descended onto its surface, his figure disappearing into the heart of the inheritance space.

Three days later, Max emerged from the Dimension of Lightning with a wide smile on his face, his eyes shining with barely contained excitement.

"Hehe, very good," Max muttered to himself, his smile deepening. "With this inheritance technique, defeating Revona in a single move would not be impossible."

Filled with anticipation, Max was just about to head toward the training grounds to test the new inheritance technique with his real body when a knock sounded at his door.

"Come in," Max said.

The door opened, and Carl stepped inside.

"Hall Master Virelia is calling for you," Carl said respectfully.

A broad smile spread across Max's face. "Alright, let us head there," he replied without hesitation. He already knew why she was calling him. The resources promised by the Dark Phoenix Clan and the Heavenly Kirin Clan should have arrived by now.

Following Carl through the hallways, Max soon arrived before Lady Virelia's office. Carl remained outside as Max stepped inside alone.

"Sit," Lady Virelia said calmly, gesturing toward the cushion placed in front of her. She herself was already seated on another cushion, her posture composed and dignified.

Max did not waste time on formalities and sat down directly.

"Here," Lady Virelia said as she tossed a storage ring toward him. "This contains enough resources for you to cultivate all the way to the peak of the Rebirth Realm."

Max caught the ring and immediately sent a trace of his consciousness inside. What he saw made his eyes brighten instantly. The interior was filled with rare herbs, high grade pills, precious ores, and cultivation resources that would make even inner disciples jealous.

A greedy smile crept onto his face as he withdrew his consciousness and stored the ring away carefully.

It was exactly what he needed.

"There are a few things I want to talk to you about," Lady Virelia said, her expression gradually turning solemn as the atmosphere in the room shifted. "This concerns your future and the path you will walk within the Black Dragon Palace." She paused briefly before fixing her gaze on Max. "But before that, I must ask you something. What exactly happened during your battle with Revona? The moment you drew your sword, your entire demeanor changed. It was as though you became an entirely different person."

Her brows furrowed slightly, and concern crept into her eyes. "That level of change in temperament and presence usually only occurs when someone cultivates certain forbidden or evil techniques. Tell me honestly, Max. Are you using any evil techniques?"
