Chapter 1414 Three Main Trials!
Chapter 1414 Three Main Trials!
Following his encouraging words about the rewards of the trial, Elder Roger continued in a steady and authoritative voice, "Now we shall depart for the trial site."
As soon as he finished speaking, a small object appeared in his hand. At first glance, the disciples could not clearly tell what it was. It looked unremarkable, small enough to fit comfortably in his palm, and yet it radiated a faint and profound aura that made many instinctively hold their breath. Without further explanation, Elder Roger casually tossed the object into the air.
Whoosh!
The moment it left his hand, the object expanded violently, its form unfolding and transforming in midair. In the blink of an eye, it became a colossal star shuttle that blotted out the sky above the Thirty Third Hall.
Its massive body stretched endlessly in all directions, and the disciples standing below could no longer see the sky at all, their vision completely dominated by the overwhelming presence of the shuttle hovering above them.
Gasps of shock rippled through the crowd as countless disciples stared upward in awe, their hearts pounding at the sight of such a grand artifact.
"Do not resist," Elder Roger said calmly, his voice carrying effortlessly across the vast space.
As soon as his words fell, a brilliant beam of light descended from the star shuttle, enveloping the countless disciples gathered below. Before anyone could even react, the beam of light swept over them, and in an instant, their surroundings blurred. Space itself seemed to fold, and one by one, all the disciples vanished from the central hub as they were directly teleported into the interior of the shuttle.
Moments later, the five elders also disappeared from their positions and entered the star shuttle. With a low hum that resonated through the air, the enormous shuttle slowly rose before accelerating away from the Thirty Third Hall, leaving nothing but empty space behind.
Inside the star shuttle, the scene was entirely different from its intimidating exterior. The interior was astonishingly spacious, far larger than what its outer appearance alone suggested. The disciples found themselves standing on a vast platform, surrounded by flowing light formations and intricate patterns carved into the walls.
Groups quickly formed as disciples began talking among themselves, their voices filled with excitement, curiosity, and nervous anticipation.
The journey to the trial site had begun, and with it, the fate of countless disciples would soon be decided.
Max glanced at Carl and Laura before asking casually, "How far is the trial site?"
"How far?" Laura repeated, then laughed as if she had just heard something amusing. She shook her head slightly, her eyes filled with a knowing look. "You really are new to all this."
Carl stepped in and explained calmly, "The trial site is not even on this planet. The planet where the Black Dragon Palace is located is called Admus. The trials are conducted on an entirely different planet known as Cyrus."
Max's interest was clearly piqued, and Carl continued, his tone turning a little more serious. "I do not know the exact reason behind this arrangement, but I have heard that Planet Cyrus has been the designated site for the Black Dragon Palace trials for thousands of years. There is a legend that an actual Black Dragon once died there. Whether that is true or not, no one really knows. Most people believe it is only a rumor passed down through generations."
Laura nodded in agreement, her expression growing solemn as she added her own piece of information. "And it is not just about the trials. I have heard that Cyrus is one of the most heavily restricted planets under the control of the Black Dragon Clan. It is guarded far more strictly than Admus because countless inheritance techniques, bloodline essences, and ancient resources are stored there."
She paused briefly before continuing, her voice lowering slightly. "From what I have heard, Planet Cyrus is considered a sacred place by the Black Dragon Clan. Ordinary people are never allowed to step foot there, and even most disciples only get a chance to visit it during major events like this trial."
As Max listened to their words, he could not help but feel a growing sense of anticipation. The fact that the Thirty Six Hall Grand Trial was held on such a planet made it clear that this was no ordinary test. It was a trial backed by history, secrets, and the deepest foundations of the Black Dragon Clan itself.
"Do you know what sort of trials we will be tested in during this Grand Trial?" Max asked next. He had a rough idea that it would be harsh, but beyond that, everything was still a mystery to him.
Both Carl and Laura nodded at the same time, clearly familiar with what was coming.
Carl spoke first, his tone calm and informative. "It is not really a secret. The structure of the Thirty Six Halls Grand Trial has remained mostly the same for a very long time. There will be three trials in total, each one designed to test a different aspect of a disciple. The first one is called the Trial of Heart. Its purpose is simple but brutal. It filters out those whose foundations are too weak, whether that weakness lies in their will, their courage, or their resolve. Many disciples fail at this stage without even realizing why."
He paused briefly before continuing. "The second trial is the main trial and it is where most of the rewards come from if you perform well. This trial is known as the Path to Eternal Flames. It tests not only strength but also comprehension, endurance, and adaptability. A disciple who shines in this trial can secure extremely valuable resources and opportunities."
Carl's expression grew a little more serious as he mentioned the last trial. "The final trial is the most difficult one of all. It is called the Hundred Battles Trial. As the name suggests, it pushes a disciple to their absolute limits through repeated battles. Very few people can truly stand out in this trial, and those who do are usually already monsters among monsters."
Laura then added softly from the side, her eyes focused as if she were already imagining the trials ahead. "But for people like us, and especially for you, the most important trial is the Path to Eternal Flames. That is where the real value lies."
She looked at Max meaningfully and continued, "This trial is the gateway to the best inheritance techniques of the Black Dragon Clan. If you manage to perform exceptionally well there, you will gain access to techniques that ordinary disciples can only dream of. That is why everyone takes this trial so seriously, even more so than the Hundred Battles Trial."
As Max listened to their explanations, his understanding deepened. These trials were not simply tests of strength. They were carefully crafted filters meant to separate the ordinary from the exceptional. And among them all, the Path to Eternal Flames and the Hundred Battles Trial stood as the true battlefields where destinies could be rewritten.
