Chapter 1415 Trial of Cyrus!

Chapter 1415  Trial of Cyrus!

As Max continued discussing the finer details of the three trials with Carl and Laura, the steady hum of the star shuttle gradually faded, followed by a subtle vibration that ran through the entire interior. Moments later, the shuttle came to a complete halt, signaling that they had reached their destination.

"Everyone, we have arrived on Planet Cyrus. Disembark the shuttle slowly," Elder Roger's voice rang out, calm and authoritative, echoing clearly throughout the vast interior.

At his words, the massive doors at the end of the star shuttle began to open. A blazing, unfamiliar light poured in from outside, carrying with it an oppressive pressure that made many disciples instinctively tense up. Still, discipline held, and the disciples near the front began to move.

The very first disciple stepped out.

The moment his foot touched the ground outside, his expression twisted in shock. Flames erupted around his body without warning, and before he could even cry out properly, his entire figure was slammed straight into the ground as if an invisible mountain had crashed down on him.

"What the hell is going on?"

"Why did he catch fire?"

"Did he trigger some kind of formation?"

Confused voices erupted inside the shuttle as disciples stared at the scene in disbelief. Before anyone could fully process what had happened, several more disciples, assuming it was some kind of accident, stepped out one after another.

The result was the same.

The instant they left the shuttle, flames engulfed their bodies, and they were crushed violently into the ground, their figures forced down by an overwhelming pressure that left no room for resistance.

"What is happening?"

"Why is the gravity so terrifying?"

"This makes no sense!"

Shock spread like wildfire through the remaining disciples. Panic crept into their voices as they watched fellow disciples being slammed into the ground one after another, unable to even stand upright.

Even Max frowned deeply at the sight. He turned to Carl and Laura, expecting some explanation, but both of them looked just as stunned as he was. Carl's brows were tightly knit, while Laura's lips parted slightly, her eyes filled with confusion.

"This has never happened before," Laura muttered under her breath.

"I have never heard of something like this either," Carl said grimly.

Just then, the five elders stepped out of the star shuttle together and floated calmly in the air above the crowd. Their figures stood firm against the oppressive environment of Planet Cyrus, untouched by the crushing gravity and the raging flame laws that plagued the disciples below.

As they looked down at the confused and shocked faces of the gathered disciples, faint smiles appeared on their faces, as if this reaction was entirely expected.

Elder Roger's voice soon rang out, steady and clear, cutting through the chaos. "You may consider this a trial of its own, although it is not an official part of the Thirty Six Hall Grand Trial."

The disciples below listened intently, many still struggling to recover from the shock of what they had just witnessed.

"The environment and gravity of Planet Cyrus are extremely complex," Elder Roger continued. "This world causes the laws to become unusually active, especially the laws of flames. As a result, the moment you step onto this planet, the pressure of gravity and the influence of the flame laws will descend upon your bodies without restraint."

He swept his gaze across the crowd before adding calmly, "If you fail to adapt to the pressure of this world and the flame laws the instant you arrive, you will end up just like the first few disciples. Your body will be overwhelmed, slammed into the ground, and ignited by the uncontrolled flame law."

A heavy silence followed his explanation as realization dawned on the disciples. This was not an accident, nor was it some hidden trap. Planet Cyrus itself was the first test, a merciless filter that demanded immediate adaptation. Those who could not withstand its pressure would not even qualify to stand at the starting line of the Grand Trial.

The atmosphere grew tense as the disciples understood that from the very moment they stepped onto this planet, their performance was already being judged.

Just as the crowd was still reeling from Elder Roger's explanation and wondering who would dare step onto Planet Cyrus next, a lone figure walked forward from among the disciples. His pace was unhurried, his expression calm to the point of indifference.

"It is Aden."

"The first ranked outer disciple."

"Is he actually going out now?"

Whispers rippled through the crowd as all eyes locked onto him. Aden Holloway did not react to the attention at all. He walked straight past the stunned disciples and stepped onto the surface of Planet Cyrus.

The instant his foot touched the ground, the terrifying gravity crashed down on him and violent flames surged up from the ground, spiraling around his body. His figure froze in place, his posture rigid as if an invisible force had locked him down.

"He stopped."

"He cannot move."

"The flames are surrounding him."

"Even he is struggling?"

The murmurs grew louder as the seconds dragged on. Five seconds passed, and the flames continued to rage around Aden's body, licking at his clothes and skin. His face remained calm, but beads of sweat formed on his brow as the pressure of the world bore down on him.

"This pressure is no joke."

"If even Aden needs time, what about the rest of us?"

Then, at the tenth second, something changed.

The raging flames abruptly calmed, shrinking back as if they had lost their target. The crushing pressure seemed to ease, and Aden's stiff body relaxed. He took a single step forward.

And then another.

"What?"

"The flames disappeared."

"He is walking."

"In just ten seconds?"

The crowd erupted into disbelief. Disciples stared with wide eyes as Aden continued walking steadily, his movements smooth and unrestrained, as if the terrifying environment moments ago had never existed. He crossed the distance calmly and came to a stop beneath the five elders, standing tall and composed.

"Ten seconds… he adapted in just ten seconds."

"That is insane."

"No wonder he is ranked first."

"Is this the gap between us and him?"

Even those who had considered themselves geniuses felt a chill run through their hearts. The sight of Aden adjusting to the gravity and the violent flame laws of Planet Cyrus in such a short span shattered many lingering illusions.

Max watched silently from within the crowd, his gaze fixed on Aden's back. The man had not shown off or spoken a single word, yet his actions alone had sent a clear message to everyone present.

This was the standard at the very top.
