Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1442 Mysterious Chaos Tree!

Chapter 1442  Mysterious Chaos Tree!

"The Chaos Tree is not simply a container that allows me to gather every concept into one body," Max murmured, his gaze turning distant as the flames around him roared louder, pressing against his skin like a living storm. "There is something deeper."

He closed his eyes once more and focused on the towering tree within his inner world. The golden flame leaves continued to glow brilliantly as strands of flame energy merged into them. Each leaf pulsed faintly, as if breathing. The branch itself seemed more vibrant than before, its veins lit with molten radiance.

Max pondered deeply, refusing to rush his conclusion. He reviewed every interaction he had ever had with the Chaos Tree.

Only one possibility rose clearly from the depths of his thoughts.

"A true law," he whispered.

Concepts were merely the beginning. They were fragments, incomplete understandings of something far greater. A concept was like a glimpse of truth. A law, however, was the truth itself in its structured, complete form. Laws governed existence. Laws shaped reality. Laws carried authority that concepts could only imitate.

He knew that the Chaos Tree could hold concepts in the form of leaves. Each leaf symbolized a fragment of understanding. But what would happen if one of those concepts reached perfection and evolved into a true law? Would the leaf transform? Would the branch undergo a metamorphosis? Would the entire tree ascend to a higher state?

The golden glow radiating from the flame leaves did not feel like simple strengthening. It felt like preparation.

"And this change might be leading to exactly that," Max said slowly, his heartbeat accelerating just slightly.

The Path to Eternal Flames was not an ordinary trial ground. It was saturated with pure flame law fragments refined over countless years. The energy here was not crude fire. It carried authority. It carried structure. It carried a hint of something complete.

Now that the Chaos Tree was reacting so strongly to this environment, Max understood that this might be an opportunity he could never replicate elsewhere. If the tree truly functioned as a bridge between concepts and laws, then this was the place where his Flame Concept could take a step beyond its current limit.

He opened his eyes and looked at the endless inferno stretching across the sixth layer. The pressure no longer felt like an obstacle. It felt like a forge.

"If the Chaos Tree is a vessel meant to nurture concepts until they mature into laws," he murmured with quiet determination, "then I will not waste this chance."

Instead of resisting the oppressive flame laws around him, Max gradually lowered his defenses and allowed the surrounding energy to press deeper into his body.

At the same time, he guided the Chaos Tree to actively draw in the golden strands at a faster rate. The flame leaves shone brighter with every breath, their glow shifting from gentle radiance to something sharper and more condensed.

Within the roaring sea of fire, Max stood motionless like a lone pillar, yet inside him something ancient was awakening.

If his guess was correct, then the Chaos Tree was not simply a storage artifact.

It was a cradle for laws.

"This is good," Max said softly, a faint smile appearing on his face as clarity settled in his mind. The oppressive flames of the sixth layer no longer felt like a barrier meant to suppress him. They felt like nourishment.

With that understanding firm in his heart, he resumed walking forward through the raging inferno. This time, there was no urgency in his movements. Since he now knew that the energy here could be used to evolve the Chaos Tree, there was no reason to rush recklessly toward the seventh layer.

The flames roared violently as he advanced, each step drawing him closer to the deepest region of the sixth layer. The pressure increased with every mile, compressing the space around him and intensifying the flame laws that permeated the air. His clothes fluttered from the violent currents of heat, yet his expression remained calm.

Five thousand eight hundred miles.

Five thousand eight hundred and fifty miles.

Five thousand nine hundred miles.

When he reached the furthest point of the sixth layer at five thousand nine hundred miles, Max finally stopped. The surrounding flames had become dense enough to distort vision, and the flame laws here were far purer than anywhere else in the layer. Instead of pushing further, he slowly lowered himself to the ground and sat cross legged amidst the blazing sea of fire.

"I will comprehend the flame laws for the Cosmic Path while also devouring the energies here for the Chaos Tree," Max thought as he closed his eyes and entered meditation.

His breathing steadied. The world outside faded from his perception as his consciousness divided into two focused streams. One part immersed itself in understanding the flame laws that circulated through the sixth layer, analyzing their structure and tracing their patterns.

The other part guided the Chaos Tree to devour the surrounding golden strands more efficiently, refining and channeling them into the glowing flame leaves.

Outside the Path to Eternal Flames, the scene unfolding on the massive projection screens caused visible confusion among the observers.

When they saw Max reach the deepest part of the sixth layer and then calmly sit down in meditation, many of the elders frowned.

They had not expected him to reach his limit so soon.

In the Path to Eternal Flames, cultivators usually only sat down when they could no longer advance further. Meditation at that point was meant to help them adapt to the pressure and attempt to break through their limits. The act of sitting was a sign of struggle, not confidence.

Because of this common understanding, nearly everyone assumed that Max had reached his ceiling.

A faint scoff sounded from the viewing platform of the Twenty Third Hall.

"Humph. To think I believed this Max might rival Isabella and Zain," Seraphina said with a sarcastic laugh, her eyes fixed on the screen showing Max seated in the sixth layer. "It seems I overestimated him."

Several elders from the Twenty Third Hall chuckled along with her, their earlier tension dissolving into smug satisfaction.

One elder shook his head and said, "Stopping at the sixth layer is respectable for someone at his cultivation level, but it is far from comparable to true geniuses."

Seraphina turned her gaze toward Lady Virelia, her lips curving into a wide smile filled with provocation. "Have you prepared your losing bet?"

Lady Virelia's expression did not change. Her posture remained elegant and composed as she watched the screen quietly. After a brief pause, she replied in an even tone, "We will talk about this after the trial has ended."

Seraphina snorted softly. "Humph. So be it."

She shifted her attention back to the largest screen where Isabella's figure was displayed. At this moment, Isabella had already stepped into the ninth layer. Her silhouette was surrounded by blazing white flames, yet her movements remained graceful and steady.

On another screen, Zain stood even further ahead. He had entered the tenth layer, his aura blazing like a rising sun as he advanced step by step against overwhelming pressure.

Behind them both, at the very end of the sixth layer, Max sat cross legged in complete stillness, seemingly left far behind.

To the observers, the difference in layers spoke for itself.

To Max, however, the true transformation had only just begun.
