Chapter 1550  Fury Burns The Heart - 4

"How dare you… kill one of us?!"

The moment the elf guard fell, the atmosphere snapped.

The remaining elves no longer held back even a fraction of their killing intent, and at the center of it all stood the elderly elf, his expression completely twisted with fury as his gaze locked onto Max's demonic form. The sight of that crimson body, those horns, those wings… it did not instill fear in him.

It ignited rage.

"You devil…" his voice trembled with suppressed killing intent, his aura surging violently as golden light erupted around him, "you will pay for this with your life!"

The moment his words fell, a radiant golden sword condensed within his grasp, its brilliance blinding as it hummed with terrifying power.

He did not hesitate and brought his sword down carrying the full weight of a peak Law Manifestation Realm expert.

Seeing this, Max did not move. Instead, he raised his left hand.

And took it head on.

Bang!

The collision exploded like thunder.

The moment the golden sword struck his arm, a violent shockwave burst outward, rippling through the air like a storm. The ground beneath Max's feet could not withstand the force and shattered instantly, cracks spreading in all directions as the impact drove him slightly into the earth.

Yet—

He did not budge.

His arm held firm, his crimson skin resisting the blade as if it were made of indestructible metal. The golden sword trembled against him, unable to cut through.

The surrounding air distorted.

Even the hexagonal barrier in the distance flickered faintly, reacting to the violent surge of energy.

Max's eyes burned brighter.

Then—

He moved.

His right hand clenched into a fist, muscles tightening as raw, demonic strength gathered within it before he drove it forward without restraint.

There was no technique to it, no concept.... It was just raw power.

The elder elf's eyes narrowed as he reacted instantly, golden light surging once again as a radiant shield formed before him.

Bang!

The fist collided with the shield, and the impact detonated like an explosion.

A second shockwave erupted, stronger than the first, tearing through the surroundings as the air screamed under the pressure. Dust and debris were blasted away, and even those watching from afar felt the force crash into them like a physical blow.

The hexagonal barrier trembled again though not violently but enough to make those observing realize that this fight was beginning to cross a dangerous threshold.

The elder elf held his ground, the golden shield absorbing the blow, yet the force behind Max's punch still pushed him back several steps, his feet dragging against the ground as his expression darkened.

But Max didn't stop. He once again moved and disappeared.

Reappearing to the side of the elder elf, his wings flaring as he launched another strike, his fist cutting through the air with terrifying speed.

The elder elf responded just as quickly. Golden light surged around him as multiple constructs formed in an instant.

Swords, spears and Blades of pure radiance.

They shot toward Max like a storm.

However, Max refused to back down. He took these constructs head on.

Each construct shattered upon contact with his body, exploding into fragments of light as his raw strength crushed everything in his path. He broke through the barrage and closed the distance once more, his fist descending like a falling mountain.

The elder elf raised another construct and this time even a bigger shield was formed and then-

Another collision.

Another shockwave.

This time, the impact sent both of them sliding back, the ground splitting beneath their feet as the force spread outward in all directions. The surrounding space trembled continuously, and the hexagonal barrier flickered more visibly now, its surface rippling under the repeated pressure.

'My strength should be around the peak of the Law Manifestation Realm, yet even that is not enough to kill them,' Max thought as his mind raced through the situation with growing urgency. The previous elf he had slain had fallen only because he had been caught off guard, but as the battle continued, the remaining elves had become increasingly vigilant, their caution sharpening with every exchange.

A surprise attack would no longer be easy.

At the same time, Max clearly understood that the elder elf confronting him was far too powerful. Even after unleashing the full might of his Infernal Demon Transformation, he had only managed to hold the opponent at a stalemate, unable to gain any decisive advantage.

Realizing this, his gaze slowly shifted toward the young master who carried his bloodline. A cold glint surfaced in his eyes as a single thought took root in his mind. If he could kill that young master and reclaim the bloodline, perhaps the burning rage within his heart would finally find some measure of relief.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on our young master!" the elder elf shouted as he immediately sensed the change in Max's intent, his expression turning grave as he moved to block Max's path without hesitation.

"You can't stop me," Max replied, his voice low and resolute, yet just as he was about to move, his Dimensional Sovereign Body suddenly erupted with a violent warning, and a chilling sense of death washed over him like a freezing tide. His instincts screamed at him, forcing his body to react before his thoughts could catch up, and he retreated ten steps in an instant with explosive speed.

Bang!

In the very next moment, a massive sword descended from the sky and obliterated everything in the space where he had been standing just a heartbeat earlier, reducing the ground to ruin with terrifying force.

'If that strike had landed on me, I would already be dead,' Max realized, his expression turning grim as the weight of that narrow escape settled in his heart.

At that moment, a young woman from the Sword God Palace appeared in the sky above, accompanied by an old man whose presence felt calm yet overwhelmingly oppressive.

"Are you someone from the Devil Race?" the young woman asked, her gaze sharp and filled with suspicion.

Max did not answer her question and instead met her eyes with a steady look. "Are you planning to interfere in this matter?"
