Chapter 1552 Dimensional Assimilation!
Chapter 1552 Dimensional Assimilation!
Max extended his Dimensional Sovereign Body outward, allowing his perception to spread across the surroundings, yet no matter how far it reached, all he could sense was ruin.
The land was barren and lifeless, and corpses lay scattered everywhere, stretching endlessly across his field of vision.
"Where am I?" He wondered, his brows tightening slightly. Just a moment ago, he had been facing the forces of the War God Palace and the Sword God Palace, and in the very next instant, he had been thrown into this strange and desolate world.
With no clear understanding of his situation, Max chose not to remain still. He picked a random direction and began to walk, his senses remaining alert as he moved through the silent wasteland.
However, the farther he went, the more bodies he encountered, until a realization slowly began to take shape in his mind. The corpses scattered across the ground seemed to belong to only two distinct races.
One was clearly human, but the other was far more unsettling, as their appearance resembled demons while still feeling subtly different.
"Devils?" Max muttered, his eyes turning cold as he reached this unsettling conclusion.
"If these demon-like corpses are devils, then could the human-like ones actually be primordials?" he speculated, his thoughts deepening as he examined the scene more carefully. He knew that humans and primordials shared an almost identical appearance, which made it difficult to distinguish between them with certainty.
After a moment of contemplation, Max spoke again in a low voice. "The corpses here belong to devils, humans, and primordials."
This realization only deepened his confusion, as he began to question where such a place could exist. A battlefield containing all three races was not something one would encounter casually.
It was then that a memory surfaced in his mind. Orion had once been the central battlefield of a devastating war between the primordials and the devils.
"Could this be some kind of secret domain within Orion?" Max wondered, his gaze sharpening. It was the most plausible explanation he could think of at the moment. The presence of these three races aligned perfectly with the history of that ancient war, and Orion was the only place nearby that matched such a description.
Yet even as the thought formed, doubt lingered.
"Only a secret domain could preserve a battlefield in such a state," Max murmured as he looked at the corpses around him.
From their condition, they appeared as though they had died only a day ago. If this had been anywhere else on Orion, the passage of time and the chaotic energies of the world would have long since reduced these bodies to dust, or transformed them into treasures, or even triggered some strange and unpredictable phenomenon.
The unnatural freshness of the corpses made one thing clear to him.
This place was not ordinary and could be inside a secret domain of some sort which explained how the freshness of the corpse had been maintained.
Understanding this, Max slowly closed his eyes and activated one of his abilities, focusing his mind as he reached out toward the strange world around him.
"Dimensional Assimilation," he muttered under his breath.
Almost instantly, a series of notifications echoed within his mind.
[Dimensional Assimilation has been activated.]
[Searching for a Dimension to assimilate…]
[Dimension detected… Initiating assimilation… Assimilation successful!]
[Congratulations to Max Voidwalker for assimilating a dimension for the first time.]
"It worked!" Max exclaimed, a surge of excitement rising within him as he nearly leaped in place. He had been uncertain whether this ability would function within this mysterious secret domain, but it turned out that his worries had been unnecessary.
At that moment, he felt a faint yet undeniable connection form between himself and the world around him. It resembled the bond he shared with his other dimensions, yet there was something incomplete about it, as if the connection lacked a certain purity.
[Please name the dimension.]
"A name…" Max murmured as he fell into brief contemplation before arriving at a decision. "Since this secret domain exists within Orion, I will call it the Orion Battlefield."
[Orion Battlefield]
– Type: [Temporary Dimension, Temporal Dimension]
– Cultivation Restriction: [None]
– Total Number Restriction: [None]
– Race Restriction: [None]
– Ban Column: [None]
As Max observed the status of the newly assimilated domain, his blood began to surge with excitement. He had never expected that assimilating this secret domain would grant him such a level of control over it.
In the dimensions he had naturally unlocked before, he existed as an almost omnipotent presence, capable of shaping and controlling everything at will.
However, this dimension was different, as it had been assimilated from the outside. Because of that, the system had provided him with a structured interface, allowing him to manage and govern every aspect of this world with precision.
After calming himself, Max focused his attention and began to carefully examine the status of the newly assimilated dimension, his expression turning thoughtful as he tried to understand every detail presented before him.
"A Temporary Dimension and a Temporal Dimension?" he murmured, narrowing his eyes slightly. The meaning of a Temporary Dimension was clear to him, yet the concept of a Temporal Dimension was far more obscure, and he could not fully grasp its implications at first glance.
– Temporary Dimension: [Orion Battlefield is not a permanent possession of Max Voidwalker. Its existence and ownership are unstable, meaning that it may change, shift, or even be lost depending on the evolving conditions within the dimension itself.]
Max nodded slowly as he read through the explanation. This meant that although he had successfully assimilated the domain, his control over it was not absolute or guaranteed to last forever. The dimension was bound to certain unknown variables, and if those variables changed, his hold over it could weaken or disappear entirely.
His gaze then shifted to the next description, his curiosity deepening.
– Temporal Dimension: [Orion Battlefield is a dimension permeated with a powerful temporal aura. Everything within it, including the land, the corpses, and all other existences, originates from a specific point in time, preserved or recreated as it once was.]
Max's expression grew serious as understanding slowly dawned upon him. This was not merely a battlefield left behind after a war. It was a fragment of time itself, a space where a certain era had been captured and sealed within the dimension.
The corpses he had seen were not simply remnants of the past, but rather echoes of a specific moment, existing as they were at that point in time.
In other words, this dimension was not just a place.
It was a preserved timeline.
