Chapter 1859: Damian vs Divine Son!

Chapter 1859: Damian vs Divine Son!

The silence that followed Orion’s defeat did not fade quickly.

Even after the transfer light carried him back to his pillar and the healing laws of the Eternal Hourglass began stabilizing his body, many spectators across the Divine Realm continued staring at the screen without a word.

Orion Starfall had lost, yet his loss carried more weight than many victories. He had forced Revona to reveal the Void Origin Realm, pushed her into using Return to Nothing, and burned through every last trace of his strength with his self-created technique, Starfall Extinction.

In the end he had fainted before he could break through that final layer of nothingness, but no one could claim that the strongest genius of the Nine Star Court had been weak.

Revona sat quietly on her pillar after returning, her face still pale and her breathing still uneven. The void-colored glow in her eyes had dimmed considerably, and for the first time since the final competitive stage began, she no longer looked untouchable.

Her victory was real, but so was the price she had paid for it. The Void Origin Realm had defended her and Return to Nothing had saved her, yet Orion’s final attack had pushed her to the very edge of what she could endure.

On the surrounding pillars, the top geniuses kept their silence.

Max looked toward Orion’s pillar for a moment before shifting his gaze to Revona. His expression barely changed, but his eyes had grown deeper, because the battle had handed him valuable information.

Revona’s Void Origin Eyes could erase incoming attacks, yet sufficient transformation speed could carve out openings. Her Void Origin Realm could expand that ability into an entire field, but even that field could be pressured by an attack carrying enough density and layered power.

The true problem was Return to Nothing. It was no simple defense. It gathered everything that had been erased and folded it back into a single point of origin emptiness, and it had caused even Orion’s strongest self-created technique to fail within the final stretch of distance.

Damian Voss watched quietly as well. His hand rested near his sword hilt, and the sharpness in his eyes had not faded since the moment Orion unleashed Starfall Extinction.

Others may have seen only the brilliance of that final attack, but Damian had seen the will behind it, and for a swordsman, will mattered every bit as much as technique. A person capable of creating a move like that at the brink of collapse deserved respect.

Aurelian Lareth stood on his own pillar with a cold and dignified expression. Unlike many of the others, he displayed no open admiration. His golden-white light flowed faintly around him while his eyes swept occasionally across Max, Revona, Damian, and the remaining peak geniuses.

The Divine Son of the second elven faction still carried his proud composure, but after the battles that had already taken place, even he could no longer pretend that the road ahead would be easy.

Angelina Valerius gave Revona a few moments to steady herself, and then she raised her hand.

"The previous battle has concluded," she said calmly, her voice carrying across the Eternal Hourglass arena. "The final competitive stage will continue."

The giant screen of light above the arena brightened once more, and names began to rotate. The randomizer spun faster and faster while every remaining participant looked upward.

After the battle between Orion and Revona, no one dared to relax, for the final competitive stage had already proven that the randomizer cared nothing for timing, reputation, recovery, or fear. It could match monster against monster at any moment it pleased.

The names flashed rapidly past, among them Max Morgan, Rakan Thorne, Kaiden Voidmere, Ervin, Rosaline Lunara, Morgana Starveil, Selene Vaeloria, Fin Arclight, Revona, Damian Voss, and Aurelian Lareth.

The light slowed, and a strange pressure spread through the arena. Many spectators leaned forward without meaning to.

The first name stopped.

[Damian Voss]

The moment Damian’s name appeared, the atmosphere of the arena sharpened. The strongest genius of the Sword God Palace had finally been called into another major battle.

Until now, Damian had won every match cleanly and calmly, never revealing more than the bare minimum. His sword had looked simple, yet every victory had displayed terrifying control. He had never been pushed, he had never used his Pseudo Cosmic Path, and he had never shown the full depth of the Sword God Palace inheritance.

The second name continued spinning while the participants watched closely. Max’s gaze sharpened slightly, and Aurelian’s golden eyes narrowed.

The light stopped.

[Aurelian Lareth]

For one brief moment, the entire Eternal Hourglass arena went silent. Then the screen enlarged both names at once.

[Final Competitive Stage, Battle Forty]

[Damian Voss vs Aurelian Lareth]

The silence shattered, and a wave of shock swept through the arena and across the Divine Realm. Damian Voss was the strongest genius of the Sword God Palace, and Aurelian Lareth was the Divine Son of the second elven faction.

One was the blade raised by one of the greatest sword forces in the Divine Realm, a genius whose swordsmanship had remained calm, precise, and unfathomable from the very start of the conference.

The other was the Divine Son of a royal elven faction, the vessel of the Heavenly Luminance Divine Bloodline stolen from Max, and the wielder of the domineering Pseudo Cosmic Path known as Heavenly Luminance Divine Dominion.

This was no ordinary matchup. This was another true collision between peak geniuses.

The Divine Realm erupted once again. In the Sword God Palace, countless disciples gathered before massive screens with their eyes burning. Damian Voss had been too calm for too long, and many of them had waited eagerly for an opponent strong enough to force out his true sword.

"Senior Brother Damian!"

"Show the Divine Son the sword of our Sword God Palace!"

"Aurelian’s Heavenly Luminance Divine Dominion is strong, but no dominion can suppress the true sword!"

"Senior Brother Damian has not even used his real strength yet!"

At the same time, within the territories controlled by the second elven faction, countless elves watched with cold pride. To them, Aurelian Lareth was far more than a mere participant. He was their Divine Son, their symbol, and their living proof that their faction still stood above countless forces in both talent and bloodline.

His battle against Morgana had already put the Heavenly Luminance Divine Dominion on display, but now he faced Damian Voss, and many elders understood that this fight would determine how the Divine Realm judged his true standing among the peak.
