Chapter 1882: Kaiden’s True Strength!
Chapter 1882: Kaiden’s True Strength!
The arena stirred at once.
"He injured Ervin!"
"Kaiden is much sharper than he looked against Max!"
"Against Max his attacks seemed useless, but against Ervin every spatial cut is dangerous!"
Kaiden did not pause. He raised both hands, and the entire central stage split into overlapping planes.
"Void Genesis Art, Thousand-Layer Spatial Cage."
Ervin’s surroundings folded again and again. Transparent layers of space formed a prison around him, and every layer shifted to its own rhythm. If Ervin moved forward, the distance stretched away from him. If he moved backward, the ground folded beneath his feet, and if he thrust his spear, the attack was rerouted through another plane entirely.
Ervin’s expression grew more serious.
"Abyssal Origin Descent."
The black sea appeared behind him, and the broken gate rose from its depths. The moment his Pseudo Cosmic Path descended, the pressure across the battlefield changed. The folded spatial cage began to sink, as though its layers had suddenly gained weight.
The black sea spread toward the transparent walls, pulling at them and dragging them downward, straining to collapse space itself into the abyssal current.
Kaiden’s eyes sharpened.
"Grand Void Sanctum, Void Anchor Seal."
Silver-gray anchors materialized within the spatial layers. They pierced into the folded planes and pinned them in place, keeping the Thousand-Layer Spatial Cage from sinking entirely into Ervin’s abyssal pressure. The clash between the cage and the black sea set the arena trembling. Space fought to fold while the abyss fought to drag everything down.
Ervin lifted his spear.
"Abyssal Origin Descent, First Depth Tide."
The black sea surged upward, and Kaiden raised one hand to meet it.
"Void Genesis Art, World-Folding Barrier."
The tide crashed into the folded barrier and split across several spatial planes. Rather than striking Kaiden directly, most of the abyssal wave was rerouted into empty layers of space. Yet the abyssal pressure was too strange to be fully contained. Even after redirection, part of it kept sinking down through the folds, and Kaiden was forced back half a step.
His expression grew even more focused as Ervin advanced.
"Abyss Spear Art, Gate Shadow Thrust."
The shadow of the broken gate gathered around his spear tip, and the thrust crossed the distance between them like a black line drawn up from the bottom of the sea.
Kaiden did not block in any ordinary way. His hands moved, and the space in front of him twisted into a spiral.
"Void Genesis Art, Spiral Exile Gate."
The spear thrust entered the spiral and vanished. For one brief moment, everyone believed Kaiden had exiled the attack into some distant spatial layer entirely. Then Kaiden’s head snapped around. The spear thrust had reappeared behind him, having forced its way back through the exile gate by riding the abyssal pull into the battlefield.
Kaiden’s eyes narrowed.
"Void Genesis Art, Origin Fold Reversal."
The space behind him folded backward and barely diverted the thrust past his shoulder. Even so, the black spear force grazed him and tore a line through his silver-gray robe.
Kaiden and Ervin retreated at the same moment, and neither of them looked relaxed any longer.
Rakan Thorne’s eyes gleamed from his pillar. "Now this is a fight."
Damian Voss watched quietly. "Kaiden is showing far more than he did against Max."
Revona nodded faintly. "Because Ervin cannot ignore spatial attacks."
Orion Starfall smiled weakly. "And because Ervin’s abyss can drag space itself down. What a troublesome pair."
Max observed the battle calmly, and he understood Kaiden’s strength better than most. Against him, Kaiden had looked restrained only because the Dimensional Sovereign Body and a higher mastery of the Void Genesis Art had ruined the matchup entirely.
Now, against Ervin, Kaiden’s true power was finally coming into view. His spatial control ran anything but shallow. His techniques were layered, precise, and frighteningly difficult to predict, and even Ervin’s abyss could not swallow them casually.
On the stage, Kaiden drew a slow breath, and the space behind him opened. A vast silver-gray void unfolded, filled with countless corridors, mirrors, and broken spatial planes.
This was no ordinary field technique. It was the manifestation of his deepest spatial foundation, a terrifying maze of the void where every direction could be folded, severed, or exiled at his will.
Kaiden’s voice rang out calmly.
"Pseudo Cosmic Path."
The silver-gray void expanded.
"Grand Void Labyrinth."
The moment the name appeared, the entire central stage shifted. The ground grew distant and the sky became layered. Ervin now stood at the center of a labyrinth built from folded space, where every wall was a passage, every passage was a blade, and every blade could become a prison.
Compared to Max’s sovereign command over space, Kaiden’s Grand Void Labyrinth was something different in nature. It did not attempt to rule space as a true sovereign would. Instead, it turned space into an endless battlefield of traps, routes, distortions, and points of exile.
This was Kaiden’s true power, a Pseudo Cosmic Path forged from the Void Genesis Art and the deepest spatial principles of the Grand Void Sanctum.
Inside the Grand Void Labyrinth, Kaiden’s aura climbed sharply.
"Grand Void Labyrinth, Corridor of Ten Thousand Cuts."
The spatial corridors around Ervin opened, and invisible cuts poured in from every direction. Ervin spun his spear and released a deep abyssal ring, but the cuts did not all arrive within the same layer.
Some came through present space while others emerged from folded space. Some appeared only after a delay of half a breath, and some bypassed the spear ring entirely to materialize right beside his body.
Blood splashed, and several wounds opened across Ervin’s arms and shoulders.
The arena erupted.
"Kaiden is suppressing Ervin!"
"This is his Pseudo Cosmic Path!"
"The Grand Void Labyrinth, what a terrifying path!"
Ervin’s eyes grew darker, and the black sea behind him climbed higher.
"Abyssal Origin Descent, Gate of the First Depth."
The broken gate opened, and the pull of the abyssal origin surged outward to drag at the Grand Void Labyrinth. Several spatial corridors bent downward and began sinking toward the black sea. But Kaiden’s figure appeared at the end of one corridor with his hand already descending.
"Grand Void Labyrinth, Exile Palm."
The palm struck the air, and Ervin’s left side vanished. It was not his body that disappeared, but rather the space around his left side, which was exiled for a brief moment and broke his balance. Kaiden pressed the advantage at once.
"Grand Void Labyrinth, Mirror Burial."
Dozens of mirrored spaces bloomed around Ervin, each one reflecting a different version of him. Then all the reflections collapsed inward, seeking to bury his real body among the false spatial layers.
Ervin drove his spear into the ground.
"Abyssal Origin Descent, Second Depth Pressure."
The black sea deepened, and the mirrored spaces sank sharply and cracked beneath the pressure. Yet the Grand Void Labyrinth was too flexible to break so easily. The shattered mirrors simply reformed into new corridors, and from those corridors, Kaiden attacked again and again.
For the first time in the tournament, Ervin was being driven to the edge. Wounds accumulated across his body, and his spear movements grew heavier. The black sea remained terrifying, but every time it tried to swallow Kaiden’s path, the Grand Void Labyrinth shifted and opened a fresh route.
Kaiden never lingered in one place long enough to be dragged down. He fought like a master of endless distance, never striking from where Ervin expected and never allowing the abyss to fully claim his position.
The Grand Void Sanctum disciples finally erupted.
"Senior Brother Kaiden!"
"Show them the Grand Void Labyrinth!"
"This is his true strength!"
Even the elders of the Grand Void Sanctum looked satisfied. Against Max, Kaiden’s pride had been smothered by an impossible counter. Against Ervin, the Divine Realm could finally see why Kaiden Voidmere ranked among the strongest geniuses of the entire conference.
