Chapter 1972: Secret of the Four Sacred Clans!

Chapter 1972: Secret of the Four Sacred Clans!

A deadly silence fell over everything. The descendants of the Four Sacred Clans suddenly felt the full weight of the situation. This wasn’t an empty threat. Freya’s people had already positioned themselves above every major platform.

Valerius, Ashbourne, Ravenhart, and Evercrest each had crowds of younger descendants gathered to watch the Bloodline Legacy Battle.

The Four Sacred Clan ancestors were powerful, terrifyingly powerful, but their descendants weren’t invincible. If thousands of Voidwalker fighters struck at once from prepared positions, even a moment’s hesitation could turn into a massacre.

The four ancestors’ faces turned unbelievably dark. No one had dared threaten them like this in countless years.

Then the Valerius ancestor’s expression changed. His eyes fixed on Freya. The sacred light around him flickered slightly, as if he’d sensed something.

"You..."

The Ashbourne ancestor narrowed his eyes too. His battle aura, which had been raging wildly, suddenly sharpened into focus.

The Ravenhart ancestor’s veil moved without any wind.

The Evercrest ancestor stared at Freya with disbelief and anger.

"She carries it too."

The Valerius ancestor’s voice turned colder. "Voidwalker bloodline."

Those words spread across the arena again. The sacred clan descendants looked up at Freya in shock.

Freya stood calmly in the sky, surrounded by thousands of her people, and the star-like dimensional light around her made the abandoned fifth end pulse even stronger.

Unlike Max, whose Voidwalker connection had stayed hidden beneath layers of other bloodlines and legacies, Freya’s presence carried that bloodline out in the open. It felt cold, deep, and wrapped in the quiet authority of distance, space, and hidden worlds.

The Ashbourne ancestor’s killing intent grew heavier. "How many of you got away?"

The Ravenhart ancestor whispered, "How many of these traitors weren’t sealed last time?"

The Evercrest ancestor’s eyes turned vicious. "So the Voidwalker remnants have been hiding this whole time."

Freya looked at them with cold eyes. "Some of us managed to survive."

The word was simple. But it hit the four ancestors like a slap.

The Voidwalker Ancestor, still standing in front of Max, looked up at Freya. For the first time since he’d appeared, his expression shifted more visibly. He stared at her for a long moment, and something like sorrow and relief passed through his old eyes.

"You two must be his son and daughter," he said softly.

Freya lowered her gaze toward him. "Ancestor."

That one word confirmed everything.

The whole arena stirred again. The black dragon at the center of the battlefield was a descendant of the Voidwalker Clan. The woman in the sky was also a descendant of the Voidwalker Clan. The thousands surrounding the arena were likely Voidwalker remnants as well.

The fifth sacred end, which everyone had believed abandoned forever, was waking up right in front of them. The Four Sacred Clans had tried to bury this bloodline, but it had come back, and everyone was watching it happen.

Max looked up at Freya, his happiness now tangled with a flood of questions. He wanted to ask where she’d been all this time, how she’d survived, how many Voidwalkers were left, why she’d never told him the truth, and what had actually happened between the Voidwalker Clan and the Four Sacred Clans.

But this wasn’t the time.

Freya seemed to know that too. Her gaze stayed on the Voidwalker Ancestor.

"Ancestor," she said, her voice carrying across the arena, "it’s time."

The Voidwalker Ancestor didn’t answer right away.

Freya continued, "For many years, the Four Sacred Clans have called us traitors. They sealed our people, abandoned our sacred end, erased our name, and taught their descendants that Voidwalker blood is a sin. Today, Max was nearly imprisoned without even being told what crime he was supposed to have committed."

Her eyes swept across the four ancestors. "They keep talking about stolen legacy. They keep talking about betrayal. They keep talking about ancient judgment. But they never explain the actual truth."

The Valerius ancestor’s face turned stern. "Some truths should stay sealed."

Freya looked at him. "No." Her voice turned colder. "Not anymore."

The thousands of Voidwalker descendants above the arena released their auras all at once. Their power didn’t attack yet, but it pressed downward, reminding everyone that Freya’s threat still stood. If the Four Sacred Clan ancestors chose to fight, the younger descendants below them would be the first to pay for it.

Freya turned back to the Voidwalker Ancestor. "Tell the truth."

The whole arena went silent.

Rose stood below, surrounded by Evercrest elders, staring up at Freya with wide eyes. Angelina Valerius stayed motionless at the edge of the battlefield, her expression heavy with thought. Cassian Valerius, Draven Ashbourne, Seraphine Ravenhart, and the other sacred clan geniuses looked between Freya, Max, the Voidwalker Ancestor, and their own ancestors, realizing that the Bloodline Legacy Battle had turned into something far bigger than any of them had expected.

Max’s massive dragon body stayed still, his eyes fixed on the Voidwalker Ancestor.

Freya’s voice rang out again, calm but impossible to ignore.

"Tell everyone what the Voidwalker Clan actually did. Tell them why we were called traitors. Tell them what legacy was supposedly stolen. Tell them what really happened to the fifth sacred clan."

The Voidwalker Ancestor slowly closed his eyes. For a long moment, he said nothing.

The glowing statue of the First Progenitor stood behind the arena, its closed eyes shining like stars trapped in stone. The abandoned fifth end burned with dark light. The Four Sacred Clan ancestors stayed silent, furious and unwilling, but unable to act recklessly with their descendants surrounded.

At last, the Voidwalker Ancestor opened his eyes. He looked at the four ancestors. Then at Freya. Then at Max.

The old man’s voice came out quiet.

"Very well."

The whole arena held its breath.

"Then let the buried truth return."

The Voidwalker Ancestor’s expression became solemn.

"It is time everyone knows the history of the sacred clans."

He looked across the arena.

"Or should I say, the history of the Five Sacred Clans."

The whole arena went still.

Above, Freya lowered her gaze in silence.

Below, Max’s enormous dragon body remained unmoving, his heart pounding with questions that were finally about to receive answers.
