Chapter 2056: Damian’s Proposal!
Chapter 2056: Damian’s Proposal!
Those words made Aldric’s eyes flash with anger. He suddenly retreated several steps and spread both arms. The dragon energy around his body condensed into dozens of silver-gray dragon spears, each one sharp enough to pierce through ordinary Divine Lord Realm defenses.
With a roar, he sent them all toward Damian at once.
"Dragon Spear Storm."
The spears fell from every direction.
Damian finally released a deeper sword aura. The air around him changed. A faint image appeared behind him, not of a mountain, beast, or divine weapon, but of a vast sky filled with countless swords standing upright like heavenly pillars.
Each sword carried a sovereign presence, as if they belonged not to ordinary cultivators but to rulers of the sword itself.
"Sword Sovereign Heaven."
His Pseudo Cosmic Path unfolded. Damian raised his blade and slashed once. The sword light spread upward like a curtain, and every dragon spear that touched it split apart cleanly. None of them exploded. None of them managed to pass through. They got cut so precisely that their energy collapsed before ever reaching him.
Aldric’s pupils contracted.
Outside the Battle Space, the plaza grew quieter.
"Sword Sovereign Heaven," someone muttered.
"So Damian has a Pseudo Cosmic Path too."
"And his path runs extremely pure."
Daniel’s eyes showed a trace of approval. "Good."
Anna let out a breath, but her expression stayed serious. "Aldric won’t stop here."
She was right. Inside the arena, Aldric’s frustration finally hit its peak. From the start of the battle until now, he’d attacked with speed, strength, feints, dragon techniques, and layered pressure.
He’d used his Half-Dragon Transformation from the beginning, and he’d tried to control the entire flow of the fight. Yet Damian had stayed calm through all of it. No matter what he did, that sword always found a way to answer.
That calmness stung worse than arrogance would have. Aldric would’ve preferred Damian to mock him, rage at him, or unleash some overwhelming attack. Instead, Damian just kept countering him again and again, like all his effort still fell within calculation.
"Fine," Aldric said, his voice low. "Let’s see if your sword can counter this too."
His aura erupted. The silver-gray scales on his body shone brightly, and the power of his Half-Dragon Transformation climbed to its limit. His muscles expanded further, his claws lengthened, and a dense pressure spread from his body like a storm.
At the same time, an embryonic path aura rose behind him, heavier and sharper than before.
A massive illusion appeared in the sky above Aldric. It showed a dragon formed from silver storms and jagged lightning, coiling around a broken mountain peak. Its wings spread wide, and every scale on its body seemed to hold violent destructive power.
This wasn’t merely dragon energy. It was Aldric’s Pseudo Cosmic Path, fused together with the full strength of his Half-Dragon Transformation.
"Pseudo Cosmic Path," Aldric roared. "Storm Dragon Cataclysm."
The virtual arena trembled. Storms gathered. Lightning roared. Dragon pressure filled the battlefield until the air itself seemed to crack.
Aldric rose into the air, his body wrapped in silver lightning and dragon wind, then descended toward Damian like a heavenly disaster. His claws carried the full force of his bloodline, transformation, and Pseudo Cosmic Path. This was clearly his strongest attack.
Outside the Battle Space, many spectators held their breath. Even Daniel’s expression turned more focused. Anna’s face went solemn. Revona narrowed her eyes.
Max looked at the descending attack quietly. ’This one isn’t weak.’
Inside the arena, Damian stood beneath the storm. His robes fluttered violently, and cracks spread across the ground around him, but his expression stayed unchanged. He slowly raised his sword with both hands.
The sky of swords behind him grew clearer. One sword after another lit up inside the image of Sword Sovereign Heaven. Thousands of sword shadows released a calm but supreme aura, as if the entire heaven had turned into a throne for the sword.
Damian looked up at Aldric. Then he slashed. Only one sword attack. No second movement followed. No complicated technique appeared. The sword light rose from the ground into the sky, calm, bright, and absolute.
It didn’t look as violent as Aldric’s Storm Dragon Cataclysm, but the moment it appeared, every sword shadow within Sword Sovereign Heaven moved with it. The entire Pseudo Cosmic Path condensed into that single slash.
"Sword Sovereign Heaven, One Sword Rules the Sky."
The slash met the descending storm dragon. For a moment, the world inside the Battle Space seemed to stop. Then the silver lightning split. The storm winds parted. The dragon illusion trembled, and a clean line appeared from its head to its tail.
Aldric’s strongest attack, which had combined his Half-Dragon Transformation and Pseudo Cosmic Path, got cut open by that single sword. The violent power didn’t explode outward. It collapsed inward, then scattered into countless fragments of fading light.
The storm vanished. The dragon vanished. The sky returned to silence.
Damian stood where he was, his sword lowered slightly. Aldric landed several dozen meters away, breathing heavily. His Half-Dragon Transformation stayed active, but its light had dimmed greatly. The scales on his arms were cracked, and the aura around him had turned unstable.
Across from him, Damian looked pale too. His sword hand trembled faintly, though his expression stayed calm.
Neither of them moved. The battle had reached a standstill.
Outside the Battle Space, no one spoke for a moment. Everyone had seen what happened. Aldric had used everything he had. His dragon body, Half-Dragon Transformation, full bloodline power, and Pseudo Cosmic Path had all gone into that final strike.
Damian had countered it with one sword using the full power of Sword Sovereign Heaven, but that sword had clearly cost him a great deal of strength too.
Inside the arena, Damian took a slow breath. Then he looked at Aldric and spoke calmly. "I don’t have much energy left to keep going."
Aldric’s eyes narrowed.
Damian continued, "You used your strongest attack, and I used my strongest counter. If we keep fighting, the result will come down to endurance more than strength. I don’t think that’s necessary."
Aldric stared at him in silence.
Damian’s voice stayed steady. "Let’s call this a draw. Will you accept?"
