This left only Davis and Evelynn here while Tia was with Myria.

“Were you joking with Fairy Xiu Juili?” Evelynn finally asked after a few seconds of silence.

Davis’s lips curled, “Have you seen me proposing marriage as a joke?”

“Then how deep do you desire her?” She turned to look at Davis, her eyes shining.

Davis also turned to look her in the eyes.

“Not so deep but definitely reaches the threshold. She’s lovely, her conscience is clear, her eyes are stunning, and the way she looks at me is without discrimination. I want what I see, but it’s a pity she’s not ready for marriage, or she may have her own thoughts on marrying an ‘evil’ entity like me and possibly ruining her life. I will not force her.”

He reached out his hands, holding Evelynn’s hands, “Don’t worry. If you don’t like her, I’ll stop looking at her that way. I’m in shallow waters, so I can get out easily.”
