Chapter 4604: A Dream
Chapter 4604: A Dream
“No… I…”
Flamerose’s cheeks turned red ever so lightly. However, she quickly calmed herself, taking a deep breath and looking at him with an inclined head.
“Are you the same Davis?”
Davis wondered what kind of question that was. He suddenly thought that they could sense that he had reincarnated multiple times. As they were phoenixes, he couldn’t get past them. Still, his lips curled.
“What makes you think that?”
“I don’t know. I just feel that you’re different. Dewzai said you’re quite the seducer- not just any seducer but the seducer of the highest order. Now that I realize it, I understand a few things about why I feel the way I do whenever I see you.”
Flamerose blinked, her expression trying to be indifferent as she moved her lips, “I’m asking honestly. Are you secretly charming me, even if it is a passive trait of your physique or whatever it is?”
Davis was speechless.
It seems like after he scared Dewzai, she revealed what she had been thinking to her peers.
‘Then she stormed out in embarrassment, and Shirley and the others went after her…?’ Davis could imagine.
Frostrose, who was sitting on the opposite couch, nearly gawked. Had Flamerose gone crazy? How could she be so confrontational?
Davis sat up and turned his body to face Flamerose.
He stared at her for a few seconds, making Flamerose highly uncomfortable. Even though she tried to calm down, the palpitations of her heart couldn’t be mistaken.
“Seducer, huh…” Davis chuckled lightly, “It speaks of a person who entices someone to do something sexually wrong or do something wrong while selling them sexual favors. It is a calculated act to lure someone into a sexual encounter, sometimes with an implication of leading them away from principles or duties.”
“Let me think… I seduced Isabella into abandoning her principles, and Lea too. However, I didn’t do this in a calculative manner. I did this without any plans while following my heart. So, I don’t necessarily think I’m a seducer, but either way, I’m not giving off charming waves using Charm Laws passively or actively. It’s just you- Flamerose. You’re in love with me.”
“…!”
Flamerose nearly jumped as though she were a cat who had her tail stepped on.
“You-” She pointed at him, wanting to deny, but her words wouldn’t come out.
“It’s not something to be ashamed of unless you act on it.” Davis’s eyes gleamed, “After all, I’m a married man. But I’m a polygamist, so it’s not as embarrassing as going after a monogamist. You are free to pursue me if you want to, and no one would blame you.”
He cast a glance at Frostrose before returning his gaze, “I also like you two, but still, I respect you more. As I said before, if you want some resources, feel free to ask. I will do my best to collect them. No matter what our relationship is, I won’t make things difficult for you, so you don’t need to be worried that I’m forcing or influencing you to become mine. Understand?”
“…” Flamerose looked dumbfounded.
She could only nod her head absentmindedly. Her cheeks were feeling the heat, as even her ears were red. She appeared to be short of breath but not gasping, appearing to be in a daze.
Finally, she came out of her reverie, biting her lips, “Is- Is that all you have to say after knowing my feelings- if that is true?”
“…?” Davis blinked.
He thought for a moment before he stood up, “Alright, let us share a kiss to commemorate it.”
“Ah!~”
Just as he took a step forward, Flamerose panicked and shot out of the wooden house, breaking the door as she left.
Davis went speechless, but he chuckled. Phoenixes were quite innocent when it came to these matters, so he knew she would panic but didn’t know she would instantly escape. He felt like he could end this with some teasing since he didn’t wish to be intimate without having intense emotions for her.
“I apologize.” At this moment, Frostrose’s voice resounded, “I apologize for my twin sister’s poor conduct.”
Davis turned to look at her, “It’s fine. I know Flamerose cannot hide her emotions. Her face, posture, and gestures will instantly reveal everything about her thoughts, even if I don’t use Heart Intent.”
“That’s true.” Frostrose nodded.
Davis smiled. He stared at her, “Frostrose, you should also consider what I said. Never think that I don’t know what is happening in your hearts. Even if I didn’t know, I would have an inkling just by feeling emotions behind your gaze. I’m quite experienced in that regard, but the emotions are heavy and sensitive, so I generally stay away from them or ignore them for our own good. I only have so much space in my heart, and it currently focuses on Fairy Xiu Juili.”
Frostrose blinked before she nodded, “I heard. You have my best wishes in pursuing an exquisite beauty like her.”
Davis inwardly heaved a sigh of relief. Frostrose was so mature regarding these matters. He nodded at her satisfactorily and went to sleep, knowing he needed to get as much rest as possible so when it mattered the most, he wouldn’t lose control or be unable to give active commands to the Eternal Eclipse Bird.
Right now, the Eternal Eclipse Bird couldn’t enter, and he made it stay near the entrance to this Shard Region. His last commands were to protect itself and flee if it happened to meet someone above its prowess or light-attribute creatures, but not too far.
He was confident he could go get it back since his connection with it let him know which direction to travel, even in the heavy and dense space of the Shard Continent. After all, it was nearly a Primarch Grade Seal. That’s why his soul was also having trouble retaining it, making him feel like he was carrying a mountain on his head.
Davis quickly fell asleep, having a dream about Fairy Xiu Juili, when Shirley suddenly came to snatch him, and they had fun. He was filled with passion.
He could even feel the heat of their bodies.
“…?”
Suddenly, he realized something strange. He forcefully came out of the dream and awakened himself, only to see a figure on top of him. Her big and round bosoms were pressed against his chest, and her sweet scent wafted over to his nostrils, making him take a deep breath as he realized the gravity of the situation.
He opened his mouth when a finger pressed over his lips, disallowing him from making a sound.
“You don’t need to consider my feelings or anything for that matter. Just think of this as a dream, a dream that will end soon.”
Her melodious voice echoed in a whisper. She took her hands and leaned to kiss his lips, giving Davis an electrifying feeling. He didn’t lose control of himself but felt the emotions behind her lips, the crimson lips belonging to Frostrose.
As Frostrose placed her lips on Davis without even moving, her cheeks blushed. The white-blue veil was like a curtain that blocked his vision, disallowing him to see anything apart from her eyes that were squinted and full of emotions. The veil also served as an enclosed space, allowing him to feel her breathing at such an intimate level.
After a few seconds, Frostrose finally leaned back. She pursed her lips as if trying to savor the emotions she sensed from him, her gaze shy.
“Why?” Davis asked, “I told you I wish to harm no one.”
“Because…” Frostrose’s eyes turned moist, “I know my fate is sealed with you because I have exchanged an eternal bond with Shirley. I can never avoid this, and my heart also yearns for you, just as you are vaguely aware. But I don’t wish to burden you. Think of this as a dream and sleep.”
“Frose…” Davis called out.
“…” Frostrose’s heart shook as she heard him calling her name intimately. She froze at that moment.
Davis’s hand climbed and touched her cheek behind her veil, “You know I can never treat this as a dream. Are you taking advantage of my weakness?”
Frostrose bit her lips, “Perhaps… is this called seduction?”
“Yes,” Davis answered. His hand then slithered over to her nape and brought her down.
Just as he was about to kiss her, Frostrose panicked and jumped off him. She instantly returned to her seat and adjusted her breathing and emotions as well and tidied her dress.
Meanwhile, Davis also sighed and closed his eyes.
Five seconds later, the sound of women chattering could be heard outside, and Shirley barged in.
“I’m bac-”
She abruptly held her mouth as she saw Davis sleeping.
Shirley saw that he didn’t awaken and relaxed lightly. The others also silenced their footsteps and stopped chattering. They turned to look at Frostrose, who was the only woman here, and asked where Flamerose went, causing Frostrose to tell them that she went to get some fresh air.
No one doubted anything. Frostrose’s poker face was impeccable.
However, Frostrose lowered her head and shivered after a while, unable to believe that she had just done something incredibly bold. She didn’t know what brought about this matter since she was just staring at his sleeping face and found herself in his embrace suddenly.
She remembered thinking about Flamerose and her confession.
‘Did I… Did I not want to lose to Flamie…? Because they mentioned that they could share a kiss? I bewitched myself to take it first…?”
Frostrose’s sapphire eyes trembled. She couldn’t believe she was so sinful.
“…” Meanwhile, Nadia, within Davis’s soul sea, simply watched everything with a faint smile as though she were watching a drama.
