Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4619: Essential Ring

Chapter 4619: Essential Ring

’Wait... couldn’t they use this Temporal Voidplane Ring to send Exalt Stage forces into the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy’s Upper Realms to create chaos and war?’

Davis narrowed his eyes as he suddenly thought of something about the ring and had a speculation.

He looked inside the Temporal Voidplane Ring again and saw signs that it could even engulf Exalt Stage and Primarch Stage experts as long as they weren’t able to resist. Deeper inside, there were two Void Calamities at the Exalt Stage that were heavily injured with bleeding everywhere, frozen in time.

It was possible that Almer Spacewill took advantage of their plight to store them inside the ring.

This brought him to the question of why Almer Spacewill didn’t try to take them out in order to create confusion and escape, and he quickly received the answer when Davis subsequently tried to release them but found that he couldn’t.

He quickly understood why, since the Temporal Voidplane Ring was already enduring against the Elemental Dimension’s restriction of only allowing Immortal Emperor Grade lives and items inside, and the High-Level Shard Region’s restriction of only allowing lives at the level of Peak-Level Empyrean Grade inside.

Ultimately, the Temporal Voidplane Ring was a treasure that didn’t belong here, so it faced some other kind of restriction. He guessed it was the restriction to be unable to take out such powerful beings from the ring in this Shard Region that had limited entry to creatures above Peak-Level Empyrean Grade.

If he were in the Shard Continent, Davis figured he should be able to take out the two Void Calamities.

He wanted to store his Eternal Eclipse Bird to test his theory.

As for why the True Void Galaxy hadn’t sent its forces into the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy using this method, he guessed it was because they weren’t at war.

After all, from the information he had gathered so far, the galaxies embroiled in war with the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy were the True Dragon Galaxy, Nine-Headed Hydra Galaxy, Exalted Tiger Galaxy, and Verdant Time Galaxy.

These four galaxies were the forces that were trying to end the human race.

Three magical beast races and one spirit race.

He had no idea why the time-attributed spirits would want them dead, but he imagined it could be like they were supplementary forces to aid the three magical beast races. Otherwise, it didn’t make sense for only a spirit galaxy to be in war and not the other two spirit galaxies, consisting of the True Void Galaxy and Seraphim Galaxy.

He could only investigate their reasons if he caught one of the Verdant Time Galaxy’s time spirits.

Unfortunately, they were extremely rare.

He heard most of them preferred to go to the Time-Attributed Shard Regions out there. Perhaps that’s why he didn’t see them at the Wrathful Aeons Shard Region, where it was rumored they had some presence there.

Nadia’s doppelgangers knew Davis was fine, so he set out to the place where he had ’parked’ his death puppet.

He expended more of his energy to arrive there after crossing the entrance to the Shard Continent and found himself before the Eternal Eclipse Bird.

It was massive and intimidating.

If he had ’parked’ it before the entrance, then he mused that no supreme genius would’ve been able to make it inside without paying a toll. It would’ve been funny to see their faces crumple like paper.

However, with his head carrying a huge weight, he didn’t feel like that.

Davis raised his hand and used the Spatial Dome.

Layers and layers of spatial energy stacked against each other as they expanded into a dome, creating an extremely strong barrier that no one could leave. The purple-black dome reached a point of limit and then began to retract as it covered over the center.

Davis appeared without harm as the purple-black dome receded. Nadia was also inside his soul sea safely.

As for the Eternal Eclipse Bird, it was nowhere to be seen.

"Haha! Success!"

Davis pumped his fists and celebrated as he looked into the Temporal Voidplane Ring and saw the Eternal Eclipse Bird sealed within the space. It couldn’t move and stayed in the air with a menacing look on its face, not realizing that its master had taken it into a field where time had been stopped.

It didn’t resist at all.

"Hahahaha-uh?"

Davis laughed exuberantly as he knew his theory was correct, and now that he could even transport his people who had reached Empyrean levels of power into the Shard World. Forget Empyrean levels; he could even take Illumina, who had reached the Exalt Beast Stage with him.

He was overjoyed when, suddenly, he noticed something else.

The vague pain in his soul and the mountainous feeling on his head slowly dispersed.

Just as he panickedly wondered if the Grim Death’s Awakening had collapsed due to unforeseen circumstances, he realized the technique was still present. It was unshaken, but it had gone even more dormant, as though failing to find a feedback loop but still anchored enough to sense it.

Davis’s lips parted in shock as he realized.

Because the Eternal Eclipse Bird was affected by a field whose time doesn’t move forward, he no longer felt the subsequent weight of ’carrying’ its soul within his soul. He no longer felt the weight of its Ghost Will he had created, allowing him to be free.

"Holy eclipse bird..."

Davis exhaled, as he had never felt his soul become so light.

It was like he could be lulled into sleep as he felt the pressure disappear. The feeling was heavenly, nearly making him cry, yet also making him realize how much stress his soul had been under all this time. He really had been abusing the power of his soul.

But suddenly, he went stiff.

’My soul essence seemed to have... expanded... no- has the space to accommodate more prowess?’

Davis’s eyes trembled as he recognized this feeling of freedom. It had disappeared after his prowess had reached the max, as though he had hit his limit. The feeling of zenith had hit him, so he didn’t make any more progress.

Otherwise, it would just make his soul collapse from being unable to withstand that kind of prowess as a mere Immortal Emperor.

Now, it was the opposite. He felt like if he could absorb a lot of Immortal Emperor souls, he could effectively raise his soul prowess again.

’The soul essences of the supreme geniuses would be a shortcut, greatly lessening the amount needed...’

It was like a devil’s whisper in his head, making him want to hunt down the supreme geniuses.

He unwittingly turned to look at the thousands of supreme geniuses in the Temporal Voidplane Ring. Each and every one of them appeared no different than food.
