Chapter 4747 Heavenly Gambling Usurpation
Chapter 4747 Heavenly Gambling Usurpation
Time passed. Days soared one after another. It was nearly two months from the time Davis got stuck here.
There was an incident where an Exalt Stage Void Calamity tried to sneak in to investigate the source of the True Deity aura despite trembling, only to be left without a corpse as a ray of light descended and extinguished it into the air. Not even the core remained.
Lady Thunderwraith came to him and reported the incident with much more detail.
Davis nodded, "Don't worry. It's probably just a final defensive formation against Exalt Stage entities that is left to remain active to protect this plant lifeform. They're too busy and prideful to be spying on us. Besides, there should be internal altercation between all those existences. I assume right now they would be embroiled in some kind of currents that don't affect us here in the backyard."
Lady Thunderwraith was confused, "What makes you say that?"
"Easy. Rioxys Plume returned, but her mother had left and never came back. There must be someone who let her out by aiding her or scheming in order to harm the Guardian, so he must be investigating it thoroughly once again. The ones who want to harm him could only be other existences on his level. There could also be other undercurrents that we are not aware of. Moreover, the Guardian and Cloud Elder Zaratu will be eying each other, making it difficult for them to make any movements since they have pride and would be embarrassed if they were seen moving intentionally against a junior."
Davis had deduced this way before. Otherwise, he wouldn't be boldly talking and planning action to escape those Archons openly. Evidently, if they knew, they would've already stopped him. The fact that they didn't stop him meant that they were not listening, so he was convinced that their eyes and senses were not here.
Naturally, Fairy Thunderblaze had also deduced this.
On the other hand, Lady Thunderwraith lacked information about Rioxys Plume, so she wasn't able to guess this. Otherwise, Davis regarded her highly for her intelligence and… loyalty.
Lady Thunderwraith said, "She's definitely planning something, acquiring remnant Blood Quintessence Orbs from the blood grounds nearby. Her actions shouldn't be meaningless. You should stay safe."
"…" Davis's lips broke out into a wry smile, "It's not an issue."
In the past few weeks, Fairy Thunderblaze hadn't stopped bringing him refreshments, but the rate of poisoned drinks brought over had increased. It was as though she really wanted to die by provoking him endlessly.
But he didn't say anything and silently let her vent her frustrations on him. It wasn't really harming him in any way. His health had also gotten considerably better as he managed to ease his blood flow by quite a large margin, as he didn't forget to drink the sap and practice his Body Tempering Cultivation every day.
In other words, his chaos-destruction physique was adapting to the changes brought by high blood energy rather quickly. As long as he didn't get injured again and the remnant True Deity energy plaguing his body flared in response, he wouldn't get ill again.
Nonetheless, he glanced at Lady Thunderwraith's hovering figure and said, "You should be prepared. It's almost time to leave."
"Very well."
Lady Thunderwraith responded. Hunting ghost spirits in this region was heaven-sent, allowing her to increase her prowess by two levels. Her Divine Art, which complemented the Godskull she would create in the future, which was handed over to her by her sect, allowed her to strengthen herself as long as she could obtain ghost-attributed spirits to refine or even ghosts of spirits that have died, similar to Abhorrent Spirits.
She was almost done with this place since the quality of the ghost spirits could no longer satisfy her requirements to increase her prowess.
Truly, the trip to the Elemental Dimension has been great for all supreme geniuses.
She was greatly satisfied, knowing that there was no one in her sect who was as powerful as her at the Immortal Emperor Stage, which meant she could reach even greater heights after becoming a Divine Exalt in the future.
'As long as the Davis Family doesn't fall, or Davis himself kills or devours me for his mysterious soul cultivation… I should be able to live a carefree life and fulfill my vengeance.' She thought and left.
Davis studied for two more days before calling Fairy Thunderblaze through Lady Thunderwraith.
"Are you ready?"
Once Lady Thunderwraith brought Fairy Thunderblaze to his room, he asked her.
"Let's get out of this bloody area already." Fairy Thunderblaze nonchalantly walked to the cultivation cushion and sat on it in a lotus position.
Davis nodded and turned to look at Lady Thunderwraith, "Watch the perimeter and warn me if you find something off."
"Alright."
Lady Thunderwraith nodded and disappeared like a ghost. An afterimage of her ghostly silhouette still remained in the air for a few seconds before it disappeared.
Davis watched her leave before he also flew to the cultivation cushion and sat before Fairy Thunderblaze in a lotus position. The two of them stared at each other, neither of them moving their gaze away.
"Any last words? If this fails, one of us will die and the other will be seriously injured."
"Just die along with me."
Fairy Thunderblaze's reply was quick and nonchalant, causing Davis to chuckle.
With a wave of his hand, he took out a lucky purple coin minted with the face of the Loret Family's Ancestor. With another hand, he flipped, revealing a jade vial the length of a pinky finger.
'This is…' Fairy Thunderblaze's gaze flickered, not recognizing either item.
She then gazed at his solemn expression that already seemed completely immersed, feeling that he was as mysterious as ever.
Pursing his lips, Davis looked at Fairy Thunderblaze, his eyes widening and his aura changing, making Fairy Thunderblaze nearly flinch.
"Do you allow me to change your fate despite the risk of soul death?"
Fairy Thunderblaze felt the atmosphere around the room change vastly. It was as though she was thrown into a room full of ice. A bone-chilling cold spread across her body in this mystical atmosphere.
"I do." Regardless, she answered firmly.
"Then I will change your fate at the risk of soul death." Davis wagered.
Fairy Thunderblaze's gaze shook as she recalled something vague from the Blood Realm Calamity. That calamity shouted Heavenly Gambling Records and something about fooling a Heaven's Warrior. She couldn't understand heads or tails of it, but right now, she felt that this strange technique was related to that matter.
With a flick of his thumb, Davis threw the purple coin. It spun with a clear ringing sound before dropping into his palm, displaying a head.
Davis inwardly heaved a breath of relief before gazing at Fairy Thunderblaze, "I shall infringe on your fate."
He reached out his hand, his fingers snaking towards her as invisible karmic energy flowed in his fingertips.
Fairy Thunderblaze's gaze shook. She felt scared but held her breath and remained still.
With his Karmic Sight activated, Davis saw her karmic bundle with her soul.
'Success!' He inwardly rejoiced since it was something he could only see using the karmic thread of the Karmic Destiny Spindle.
With the first step becoming a success, Davis reached over and grabbed her karmic bundle in the realm of karma. However, he didn't steal her identity like he had stolen Awudan's identity. Instead, his senses seeped into the karmic bundle and became aware of the numerous karmic threads.
At that moment, Davis froze and hurriedly took back his senses. Not only did he feel like he had seen her karmic threads that were related to him and many others, but he had seen karmic threads that would form in the future. It was insane and made him horrified. Fortunately, they were vague, and he didn't linger and found what he came to find.
"Fate Transference: Accursed By Deities."
With a flick of his other hand, Davis muttered softly after he flicked open the lid on the jade vial and poured a thick black blood essence over the purple coin. With a flick of his finger, Davis sent the bloodied purple coin flying.
*Ting~*
Its ringing sound was clear yet terrifying, causing Fairy Thunderblaze's heart to pound heavily. She recognized the blood essence he poured, making her look at Davis in disbelief.
'Are you crazy!?' She wanted to shout.
Why? It was because the blood essence belonged to the Black Ominous Tiger! A being that was directly opposite to the White Auspicious Tiger. The Black Ominous Tiger was the bringer of omen and misfortune!
The purple coin fell into Davis's palm and displayed tails.
Fairy Thunderblaze's mind went numb. It failed…?
*Bzzz!~*
However, two rays of light abruptly shout out from Fairy Thunderblaze's soul essence. One possessed a lightning mark shaped like a sparkling spear, and the other a flame mark shaped like a burning tree. They shot toward the purple coin, but instead of latching onto it as Davis directed it using the 'Fate Transference: Accursed By Deities' technique, they skipped over it and shot toward Davis!
*Bang~* A low hum emanated as Davis's head shot back as he gazed at the ceiling.
'Unlucky… it's a success…'
His lips couldn't help but curl in joy while he felt himself turn weak as all the soul force he possessed was nearly siphoned off by this technique. At the same time, he felt two new marks appear in his soul essence, latching onto him rather firmly.
"You-"
Fairy Thunderblaze looked at him in shock, her majestic eyes wide with disbelief.
He used bad luck to get himself cursed by the marks!?
Because he could not force these marks with Wills to haunt him, he made it seem like he was sealing them into the purple coin, only to be affected by them intentionally!
