Chapter 4764 The Destruction Of The Peak
Chapter 4764 The Destruction Of The Peak
"No… please forgive her. She only wanted to kill me, not you. She is kind and gentle. She would've let you go…"
Rioxys Plume continued to plead.
Somehow, Davis didn't doubt her words, as his communication with the charm spirit was also brief but filled with meaning. The other party insisted that he survive by choosing to let Rioxys Plume go and considered loyalty and gratitude as higher values, and hence was prepared to sacrifice her own life for her master.
Regardless, she had deeply offended him.
There were very few things he considered a sin that demanded instant execution, and charming him and subverting his affectionate emotions to a great degree was one of them. It was a cardinal sin in his books, and he had no doubt that if he were to use Judgment Laws against her to the fullest of his ability, it could even put a scratch on a Peak Exalt like her.
"Stop… it…" Davis coldly said, "She needs to die… even if I let her go, she would just go back to her master and try to kill you again."
Rioxys Plume became stunned. Her tears didn't flow for a moment before it rained.
"I'm fine with it... We would never see her again since both you and I know we wouldn't return here..!" She screamed out, filled with sorrow.
Unfortunately, it knocked Davis out.
His eyes rolled back, and the last string holding onto his consciousness was cut off. He fainted and dropped to the ground.
"…!?" Rioxys Plume was shocked.
Afraid that she had harmed him, she quickly appeared before him and checked on him. Realizing he was still alive, she patted her bosoms and heaved a sigh of relief. Gasping heavily, she wept and turned to look into the distance, sensing her grandfather engaged in a heated discussion with a Grand Elder.
She then turned to look at Davis, knowing she needed to take him and leave before the other Grand Elders could stop them from leaving.
=======
Davis's eyes flickered open.
His fingers twitched, and he wanted to instinctively react ruthlessly to the one beside him, but he controlled himself, noticing that it was only Rioxys Plume from her aura.
He sat up and rubbed his temples, feeling his head throbbing in pain from the aftermath of using such an extensive soul force. Raising his head, he looked around, wondering where he was and how much time had passed.
Davis found himself in the midst of a dark valley. Everything here was covered in a dark mist, making him unable to tell where he was. He could only see the obsidian stones around him, emitting strange lights that illuminated the area he was in.
He didn't know what kind of ores he chanced upon, but wasn't interested as he checked his soul force and saw that it had recovered by ninety percent.
He was astonished since that meant he was sleeping for at least a few days.
"Where are we?"
Davis turned to look at Rioxys Plume.
She was hovering in the air in a crossed-legged position, black tendrils squirming around her. Her expression was laden with pain as though she had been injured, causing Davis's gaze to flicker.
"What happened?"
After asking her, he waited for her to recover.
Rioxys Plume opened her eyes after a while. She looked at him, shocked a bit, "You don't remember?"
"…?" Davis's head was adorned with a question mark.
The last thing he remembered was being knocked out by Rioxys Plume's emotional outburst. She was a Peak-Level Exalt, after all. His Will may be powerful as a Peak Exalt, but his soul had already been drained. There was no energy to protect him.
Davis saw that Rioxys Plume's eyes contained a trace of fear as she looked at him. He was more taken aback.
What did he do now?
"Fallen Heaven, what's going on?"
He was able to tell Rioxys Plume was serious. Besides, she wasn't the type to play pranks.
"Take a look at your soul essence." Fallen Heaven's voice echoed with solemness.
"…?" Davis's brows furrowed.
He quickly did as he said and almost jumped.
"Where are the marks of the Supremes!?"
"I stole your memories and retained them." Fallen Heaven murmured, "You don't want to know right now. I will hold it with me until you are able to withstand the magnitude of the karmic burden that has been placed upon you."
Davis was shocked. It was rare for Fallen Heaven to move by itself. His expression churned, wondering if it had been exposed. However, considering that he was somewhat safe here, he didn't think Fallen Heaven was exposed.
Still, he couldn't help but shudder, "What exactly did I call forth?"
He quickly searched his spatial ring and realized that the Malevolent Flesh Erasure Fan was missing. He couldn't find it even as he searched his other rings with multiple sweeps of his soul sense.
"Don't be concerned." Fallen Heaven said, "It cannot have any effect on this universe. All I can say is that the threat has been thwarted as you had calculated. However…"
Fallen Heaven cast an image onto his mind.
"…!?"
Davis stood up straight like a spear as though a bolt of lightning had hit him, his expression filled with disbelief as he looked at the image before him.
The Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak was half-destroyed, with islands collapsing and its barrier down, numerous Calamities painting a horrible sight as they covered the lands and the skies, destroying and devouring the entire region.
"How did this happen…!?"
Davis roared, the image of the three cute little spirits playing and laughing flashing past his eyes. Had they died?
The countless peaceful spirits, whose expressions were filled with curiosity as they showed him the way around the mountain... had they all died?
"The formation there collapsed after… leave it." Fallen Heaven sighed, "It's best if you come to know of it later."
"…" Davis trembled.
Countless echoes filled with hatred and animosity echoed in his mind, telling him that he was nothing but a calamity. Now, he had even caused a peaceful mountain filled with beautiful landscapes and people to collapse.
"Don't blame yourself." Fallen Heaven quickly interjected into his thoughts, "It's not your fault. The situation there had gotten out of control. Even spirits of other mountains appeared, intending to overturn the peace, a scheme that had long been in place. It wasn't something you could handle at your level. You did the right thing, which scared everyone off, and the spirits of the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak have retreated elsewhere."
Davis's expression churned.
He could tell he might've used the Malevolent Flesh Erasure Fan and had the Wills fight each other while he had come out on top. Regarding this plan, he had become even more confident after comprehending Level Three Obscure Intent of Enigmatic Heart Laws and strengthening his Will to an unbelievable level. He didn't think he would lose out to those entities since one wasn't here and the other two's marks were weaker, depending on Fairy Thunderblaze's cultivation and the tenacity of their nature that came from the gourd and the seed.
In his opinion, the marks of the Supremes shouldn't cross the Mid-Level Exalt Stage in grade. Therefore, he was confident in surviving this ordeal.
Taking a deep breath, he looked deep inside his body and saw that his scars remained, blood energy still tumbling, but he could faintly tell that he had revived once.
"Rioxys, did you see me die?"
