Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5041 The Two Pills Of Fortune

Chapter 5041 The Two Pills Of Fortune

Seeing his perplexed gaze, Azure Tree Realm Master lightly shook with a peak of suppressed laughter, "It has been too long since someone asked my name. After all, I've always been addressed as the Azure Tree Realm Master."

"Oh…"

Davis felt like it was a mix of both. Regardless, he didn't stand on ceremony, "Then, Fairy Divinacia, let's try our best to complete this mission and return alive. As long as the mission is successful, you will be able to earn a high enough amount of contribution points that will allow you to redeem a Peak Exalt resource."

"Indeed, but I might buy more Low-Level and Mid-Level Exalt Grade resources since I'm looking forward to nurturing my Azure Tree Clan."

"You're too kind."

Davis and Fairy Divinacia exchanged a few more pleasantries before Davis ran off to a pill spirit who stood sweetly in mid-air while awaiting him.

In front of him was an ethereal beauty whose slender frame was draped in a cerulean robe that shimmered like mimicking the iridescence of a gemstone. A pair of emerald eyes adorned her face, and long crystalline hair radiating a captivating luminosity of finely extending crystalline filaments, each strand glistening with a soft, blue-green glow reminiscent of a gemstone, made her appear dazzling like a true treasure that had come to life.

She was none other than Epsila, a thirteenth rank Soulforge Elevation Resonance Pill. She was an Exalted-Tier Pill, a pill spirit who could cultivate and possess a fleshly body.

She was literally a pill fairy!

"Master~" Epsila greeted enthusiastically, her expression still innocent.

Davis felt a bit guilty.

The entire reason Epsila wanted to become strong was not to be abandoned by him. By now, he guessed she would've changed her thoughts as she would've gained new goals by interacting with so many people due to her duties, but it seems like she still hadn't changed.

"Epsila, this mission…"

"I know. You told us all before we left." Epsila giggled.

Davis paused for a bit before he nodded, "Right. You are no longer an ignorant spirit. You know your tasks. Still, I made you bestow your essence to many others along with the Celestial Luminescence Pill, and now, I brought the two of you here, making you face inevitable danger. I'm not worthy to be called your master. A master should-"

"Master, you can't speak like that~" Epsila pouted as she reached out her hands and grabbed his face.

She abruptly started imparting her pill essence to him, stunning Davis a bit as he felt his soul prowess increase ever so lightly.

Due to his overwhelming Will, he was able to sense this change.

However, the resulting change in battle prowess was still abysmal, leaving him speechless. This is what it means to outclass everyone: that he felt all alone at the top. But observing Epsila's sincere and solemn expression, Davis didn't feel bad anymore.

He enjoyed her care as well as felt proud.

The world was envious that the Davis Family's people became stronger than anyone of the same generation extremely fast, but a small part of the reason could be attributed to something tangible and real. It was due to Epsila who raised Soul Forging Cultivation's prowess, and the Celestial Luminescence Pill that increased the Law Comprehension ability. It was an odd combination, but together, the improvement they brought to one's cultivation was truly significant.

Davis slowly raised his hand and held Epsila's wrist, stopping her from pouring more of her essence into him.

"That's enough."

His voice was firm, yet far gentler than before.

Epsila blinked, her emerald eyes wavering with a hint of reluctance before she obediently withdrew her hands. The faint cerulean glow around her dimmed, but the warmth she carried lingered in the air.

Davis looked at her, "After this, you can come to my side anytime and even stay instead of being with Tina and Dalila all the time."

"Really?" Epsila's gaze flickered with joy, "Then I will accompany you, Master."

"Haha," Davis laughed, "Your neighbors are all unruly, so be careful."

This time around, Davis didn't bring Nadia and Eldia. There was no need to say anything about Katherine, that sweet little lion who only wanted to live peacefully. Regardless, he didn't bring Nadia and Eldia with them since he didn't want anything in him.

Before he came here, he knew he might die at least once before he got sealed, but it was still a risk that he was willing to take. But although he was willing to risk it, he couldn't have Nadia and Eldia experience the same danger.

Fortunately, Nadia had gone outside hunting with her children, and Eldia was a glutton. After she ate a lot of desolate heavenly lightning, she went to deep sleep again in an attempt to digest it.

Since he was already here, they would in no way be able to catch up even if they wanted to.

Becoming pleased with himself, Davis played with Epsila a bit before he went around, talking with the others. He didn't need to be a Heart Intent user to know they were all more or less nervous and anxious.

Except Illumina and the Frostcloud Sword Empress, most needed some kind of assurance- assurance that they would survive since they didn't intend to die here.

He didn't have much time to give some kind of invigorating speech or prep talk to calm their nerves. After all, it took them nearly a week to prepare, even though he said they were going to leave within three days. They were already behind schedule, so after the group was ready, they quickly left using Fairy Qiyra Darkstar's astral star traveling method.

They were already late, so he didn't have time to say anything, so he went around, calming their nerves with either cracking jokes with a solemn expression or saying something serious with a funny expression. His duality left them all speechless.

Eventually, they arrived at their destination. It only took an hour since it was nearer to the Southern Abyss Tidal Sea.

As they peeked their heads out from the balcony, they saw streaks of light and shadow weaving through the path. The further they got near, the denser the heaven and earth energy became, even though the desolate air was prevalent.

The skies gradually shifted away from a gloomy tone to a soft, luminous hue, turning the world into a dreamlike expanse of radiance.

As they saw this scene, they recognized a towering silhouette emerging before them.

These were massive walled structures, layered in concentric circles, and radiated immense energy from the defensive formations protecting them.

The Twelve Bastion Cities.

However, their gaze was above- on the Ethereal Lumina Tree and its vast magnificence that made everything in its vicinity feel quite short as they seemed to have magically lost their luster.

Thank you Solomon and Jae for Dragon and Magic Castle gifts.
