Davis felt it was strange that the Sky Word Emperor didn’t appear when he refined the refined desolate heavenly lightning wisps gained from destroying the Sky Word Emperor. He could only imagine that the Sky Word Emperor had implanted the arts he had asked for in the refined desolate heavenly spacetime spheres instead.

However, clearly he was wrong.

Davis’s brows twitched, "That’s my line. What are you doing here sneaking into my Realm of Will? If it isn’t to possess me, are you here to sip tea and watch over me like some magical grandpa training me in the arts of Enigmatic Heart Laws?"

The Sky Word Emperor laughed as he raised his hand and caressed his chin, "That doesn’t sound bad. I would love to see how the world transformed after my death, but this existence of mine is rather short-lived."

He turned to look back into the pitch-black darkness and uttered, "I’m here to deal with the Being of Original Sin."

Davis narrowed his eyes as he felt shook.

He quickly asked, "What about the techniques of Enigmatic Heart Laws?"

"Young lad, I’ve left my techniques in the hidden sect of Heart Intent known as the Mystic Heartveil Monastery. If you want my techniques, including the secret ones, become a Sect Master there and lay claim to them. Pass the trials like all disciples and Sect Masters can."

"Wha- but you-"

"Did I promise to give you techniques? You just let me hit you with one of my greatest impromptu techniques by yourself."

"..." Davis clenched his teeth.

The Celestial Transcendent did point out that the Sky Word Emperor wasn’t a great being as people made him out to be, and it turns out that it wasn’t false!

Although Davis knew he might not get anything, he was fine with that outcome. However, instead of just getting nothing, he was also now being forced to host the Will of the Sky Word Emperor?

The Sky Word Emperor began walking deeper into his Realm of Will, causing Davis to impose his Will on him.

"You- I’m here to help you, and you’re suppressing me?"

The Sky Word Emperor turned to look at Davis as though he was a wronged old man, his back hunched and his figure trembling as though he was frightened.

Davis wanted to curse out, but he said coldly, "You’re in my Realm of Will, where you can attempt to possess me. If I don’t restrain you, do you expect me to just sit back and watch?"

"Can’t you see my Will’s power is way less than yours right now?" The Sky Word Emperor cried out as though he was aggrieved.

"Hmph! I’m not falling for any tricks."

Davis waved his hand, and mist abruptly submerged the space of his Realm of Will. His past that aligned the path was now shrouded in mystery. With this, the Sky Word Emperor’s Will shouldn’t have the ability to see through his past or scour his memories.

The Sky Word Emperor blinked shrewdly before he chuckled, suddenly freely moving under Davis’s suppression. He seemed to have blended himself with Davis’s Will, making it harder to suppress since it would be suppressing their own self.

The Sky Word Emperor flicked his cloud-patterned sleeve, "Young lad, you worry too much. I’m incapable of possessing you. You have a powerful Will that’s near to the Mid-Level True Deity Stage while I’m still at Mid Exalt Stage. I’m truly here to deal with the Being of Original Sin. Something like that shouldn’t come out of its shell and remain in hiding for an eternity. If it obtained you, I can’t imagine the chaos it would cause in the universe by trying to achieve its vengeance."

Davis frowned.

He felt inclined to believe the Sky Word Emperor’s words since he had indeed made the world a better place with his achievements, but if it was all but one conspiracy for this exact moment, then Davis didn’t know what to say.

The amount of planning required would be nothing short of being able to see through fate and manipulate it!

He didn’t think the Sky Word Emperor could be capable of something like that, or could he?

The battle for Fallen Heaven as a new Primeval Law Treasure before the World Master obtained it made him a bit cautious. He didn’t know what happened there. Anyone who could’ve obtained the spiritless Grimoire of Fate could’ve planned this entire course of events from that time, but Davis didn’t think so since that would invalidate every single one of his efforts.

He changed his own fate and not anyone else! This was his own confidence! He had sacrificed so many opportunities of using Fallen Heaven that he didn’t believe it was all planned by some old monster who could peer through fate, especially not the Sky Word Emperor who had died for the universe by sacrificing himself way before Grimoire of Fate was even born.

If at all the Sky Word Emperor planned all of this, he could’ve only done so through the combined usage of the Tablet of Life and Death and Thread Essence of Karma. But Davis had Fallen Heaven, the Grimoire of Fate. How could it escape Fallen Heaven’s perception when the finale of the plan set in motion was right in front of it?

Davis considered so many angles in an instant.

He was always excited to see the Sky Word Emperor since there were so many things he wanted to ask and learn, but not in his Realm of Will!

He only cared about protecting himself now.

"Oh?" Davis sounded intrigued forcefully as he uttered with a scoff, "Since your Will is low in grade, how would you go about ending the Being of Original Sin? That entity should be more or less as powerful as me."

"Indeed. That’s why I’m going to guide you to either destroy it or seal it."

Davis wanted to respond, but the Sky Word Emperor raised his hand, "I know you want to do it on your terms, but I don’t have enough time before the Reincarnation Dimension and many other dimensions, including the heavens, are on my ass for breaking many laws. It could only get worse if I were to possess you. This Will of mine was commanded to destroy the Being of Original Sin. If you want my techniques, you can always refine the desolate heavenly spacetime spheres and get them, but I wouldn’t recommend it since you’d be breaking so many laws of the universe as well."

Davis clenched his teeth.

The Sky Word Emperor was willing to give his techniques but was equally making it difficult for him to survive.

As he gazed at the Sky Word Emperor, the other party’s gaze was serene as a silent lake. There was neither friendship nor hostility. There was just a pure intent to see his objectives through.

Davis walked towards him but then walked past him.

The Sky Word Emperor’s gaze flickered before he followed suit.

Davis turned around and asked, "Alright, I’ll take you there, but how are you going to destroy the Being of Original Sin?"

The Sky Word Emperor appeared nonchalant, "Well, it should be easy considering I have killed its incarnations and have experience dealing with its Primordial Soul. However, it would’ve been way easier if you had refined the desolate heavenly lightning strand when you were at Level One Empyrean Stage and stopped making your Will powerful."

Davis shrugged.

He could never tell what the other party had in store for him. Why would he risk it until he was confident?

They walked the lightless path where the surroundings were shrouded in mist.

The Sky Word Emperor tried to look past the mist, but frowned as he couldn’t see, "I wouldn’t even know what you went through if you don’t show me your past, yet you still ask for my help in learning my techniques. So shameless..."

Davis shrugged again, "Can’t have you possessing me through my past."

"I don’t recall being able to possess someone through such a method. What have you been up to?"

"..."

Davis turned to look away with wide, guilty-looking eyes.

Thinking back, he recalled that possessing someone through knowing their past, present, and future was something he learned from using the scarlet thread from the Scarlet Destiny Spindle. It seemed like the Sky Word Emperor had never arrived at that point, or was he faking it?

After all, what was Divine Possession? This was Divine Possession!

He supposed Divine Possession only possessed someone and shattered their Will but didn’t usurp their fate.

The Sky Word Emperor looked at Davis with suspicion.

But before he could ask anything, Davis turned to look at him sharply.

"Were you behind the Desolate Crystal’s sudden resonation?"

"What’s this Desolate Crystal you’re talking about?"

"It’s fine if you don’t know."

Davis nodded as he returned his gaze to the front.

He wanted to get back and see where the changes to his Essence Physique took him, but right now, he was stuck on a sudden quest to deal with the Being of Original Sin?

Was he prepared?

He was!

The traps he placed with Fallen Heaven were still here!

Even if the Sky Word Emperor wanted to join hands with the Being of Original Sin, he would still get caught within the traps!
