Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5249: Procuring More World Hegemon Grade Treasures

Chapter 5249: Procuring More World Hegemon Grade Treasures

Fairy Glacia Frigidveil descended on her second site.

After visiting the first site and heading to the site where the matured World Hegemon Grade treasure was marked, she finally found the place after a bit of investigation. The map given was already more accurate enough than any treasure map drawn by a Mystic Diviner.

She gracefully descended through a curtain of drifting frost.

The biting cold that filled the region did not reject her, but instead, it embraced her existence.

Each step she took caused crystalline snowflakes to bloom beneath her feet before dissolving into silvery mist. The valley before her was devoid of life, its cliffs carved from pale azure ice that had seemingly existed since the birth of the realm itself. No being could enter this range as it required the strength near the layer limit.

Countless translucent crystal pillars protruded from the frozen ground like the fangs of an ancient beast, radiating a profound form of yin energy that caused even the surrounding space to grow sluggish.

Fairy Glacia Frigidveil’s eyes narrowed.

"To think I would find it here..."

She had recognized this treasure the instant she sensed its aura.

Deep within the center of the frozen basin rested a crystal no larger than a human head. It appeared as though a crescent moon had been condensed into flawless jade-like ice. Layers of silver-white runes continuously flowed beneath its transparent surface, while tiny specks resembling stars slowly revolved within.

The surrounding yin energy converged toward it without end, forming gentle ripples that spread across the frozen lake beneath.

The treasure seemed to have only recently completed its final transformation under the blessings of the Golden Era, which went along with their findings.

"The Profound Yin Moonseed Crystal..."

A trace of astonishment surfaced in her usually indifferent gaze.

This was a World Hegemon Grade heavenly resource that was exceedingly difficult to nurture naturally. It was born only after absorbing immeasurable amounts of lunar essence from the Lunar Reverence and pure yin energy over countless ages of nights before condensing into a single crystallized moonseed.

For ordinary cultivators, refining it would greatly strengthen their Yin Laws and physique while allowing their meridians and soul to become more receptive to yin energy. It was also a dual cultivation treasure, and was significantly helpful in allowing female magical beasts of yin and icy nature to improve their bloodline purity across nearly all species.

However, to someone like the Frostcloud Sword Empress, whose Iceborne Calamity Body Physique naturally harmonized with extreme and destructive yin, its value multiplied many times over.

The moment she stepped closer, the crystal gently trembled.

A soft lunar radiance spread across its surface, and the yin energy surrounding it no longer felt wild or oppressive. Instead, it flowed toward her like streams, intending to restrain her as though it had found something vile in its backyard.

Fairy Glacia Frigidveil took the multiple lacerations to her body without defending as she walked all the way to it. Numerous cuts appeared over her pristine white-blue robes. The sleeves swayed violently as blood splashed.

In the end, she finally stood before it and soothed it with a gentle and sooth voice, "Little crystal, don’t be afraid. Come to me."

She raised her delicate hands and released her icy aura.

Her cultivation circulated silently, and the frigid ice energy rapidly thawed into one of a brilliant yet warm glow. The moonlight from the crystal intertwined with the frigid aura surrounding her. Gentle strands of lunar essence drifted toward her palm as though acknowledging her before the crystal slowly detached itself from the frozen earth without causing the slightest disturbance to the surrounding natural formation.

She carefully received it with both hands.

The instant the crystal settled into her grasp, a refreshing stream of pure yin energy surged through every meridian in her body.

Her icy constitution hummed with delight.

Even without refining it, she could already perceive the bottlenecks in her cultivation becoming slightly clearer. If she fully absorbed its essence after leaving this dangerous zone and the Second Layer, not only would her physique evolve further, but her mastery over Yin Laws and her physique would likely take another significant step toward perfection.

She gently stored the Profound Yin Moonseed Crystal away, her usually cold expression carrying a rare hint of satisfaction.

"As expected of a realm blessed by the Golden Era... the treasures growing here have matured without flaws..." She said a bit excitedly.

Without lingering any longer, Fairy Glacia Frigidveil rose into the air once more and departed for the next marked location, her figure disappearing amidst drifting snow while the frozen valley returned to its eerie silence.

Meanwhile, Davis’s avatar and Jaiyan found themselves standing atop the shattered remains of an ancient stone plateau.

The air itself was distorted.

Invisible ripples spread endlessly across the landscape as overlapping layers of space continuously folded into one another before separating again. Mountains appeared where there were none before, only to vanish the next instant. Rivers flowed upward into the sky, disappearing into cracks that resembled broken mirrors.

The phenomenon was so bizarre that even powerful cultivators refrained from moving recklessly.

Around the plateau, thousands of experts had gathered.

Three great banners fluttered in the distance.

The Abyssal Radiance Empire had arrived with an imposing force led by several Peak Exalt Stage experts clad in dark azure armor.

The Gale Burial Pavilion and Zephyros Family occupied the western side, their elders standing silently with swords buried halfway into the ground as spatial winds continuously swirled around them. Wind spirit feys were also among them.

On the eastern front gathered the Grayscale Poison Hound Clan and the Blackcurse Voidfang Eel Clan. Numerous enormous wolf-like magical beasts with ash-colored fur prowled restlessly while poisonous mist seeped from their mouths. Strange lightning flickered around the area with an ominous intent, arcing around a nearby group.

Each faction had established its own perimeter and teamed up with the capable powers to get a share while more were gathering by the minute, yet none dared make the first move.

However, at a glance, it was clear it was not because they feared one another, but because they feared the treasure before them and, most importantly, waited for it to mature.

Above the center of the battlefield, the heavens had become fractured.

Countless crystalline fissures stretched across the sky, each revealing glimpses of distant stars, unfamiliar places, and endless darkness beyond. Every few breaths, a beam of silvery light descended from those cracks, nourishing the heavenly resource below.

It was obvious that the treasure was releasing a heavenly phenomenon to gather the surrounding world’s energy for its final maturation.

Jaiyan muttered lightly, "The Voidheart Astral Orchid... It’s a must for junior sister Wix to have... which means martial niece Stella can also benefit from it. We cannot let this one go despite the obvious ramifications..."

Davis’s eyes were narrowed, but he nodded.

This treasure was way more important than any other World Hegemon Grade Treasure they had obtained purely because it would strengthen their respective spatial worlds created by the two Void Dust Trees. The Voidheart Astral Orchid was a pure space-attribute treasure that connected with the spatial layers around it and took in the astral essence of the stars around the realm.

To put it in another way, it was a resource that was also greatly helpful to Fairy Qiyra Darkstar since it contained astral essence.
