Chapter 5348: A Void Dust Tree’s Worry
Chapter 5348: A Void Dust Tree’s Worry
"This..." Fairy Divinacia appeared a bit troubled, "I can make a decision for my race as its leader, but it is my personal decision to bring all of them here under a Divergent’s rule. I can’t make them all aid your family, or we will be completely branded cultists who aid Divergents, whereas only I would have to die if we get implicated in such an accusation. Please don’t be offended. I’m honest since Your Majesty is reasonable. Ever since I heard of your other plan, I’d rather my race’s young seeds accompany Young Master Azariel to the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm and then settle there, as there are some windy zones. Still, I will ask them if they’re willing to aid the Davis Family in creating this flying continent."
She said hesitantly, afraid Davis would misunderstand.
Davis chuckled in response, "Of course, it is totally understandable that you would want to leave a way out for your race as its leader. You have already helped us so much, and as my subject, I can’t keep taking advantage of your kindness. Your idea works for me. If they choose to back out, let me know, and I can try to look for another way, but honestly, without your race’s Seraphic Azure Wings, I doubt this plan would succeed. Perhaps I need to seal brother Karyot underneath the continent, don’t you think?"
Fairy Divinacia blinked before she hid a smile as she bowed, "Your Majesty is magnanimous."
"Hey!"
Karyot flinched in his seat, appearing ready to flee any moment.
His comical figure evoked a peal of laughter from everyone.
Mingzhi was very happy.
Initially, she was confused about why Davis would put up such a redundant idea.
A flying continent? It would be so slow that they would get caught instead.
However, his idea for creating it was brilliantly conceived, and the resources that aligned with the insights of the Warping Gust Wings were also present.
All they had to do was imitate the real thing on a grand scale. It was not impossible.
But what made her truly happy was that even if this endeavor was fruitless, it showed that Davis didn’t fully rely on the mission to occupy Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm. Her darling didn’t plan on abandoning the family by dying to something like fate- perhaps dying to something he could perceive coming. He didn’t plan on leaving them behind.
Furthermore, she could precisely guess what he was plotting. Once Azariel gains the Realm Core’s recognition and becomes the Realm Master, their flying continent would roam around the vicinity.
This way, they would have a World Hegemon protecting them in the future.
With a World Hegemon by their side in the Second Layer, it would make their family invincible! The Divergents and non-Divergents could then work together!
She loved how Davis thought one step ahead of the Celestial Transcendent this way, provided the latter didn’t have nefarious plans to break their family apart bit by bit. Otherwise, who knew how many steps they were behind?
However, she didn’t want to think they were fighting a losing battle.
Soon, Stella appeared.
Myria, Zenova, and all the other big wives appeared, not to mention the Karmic Guardian Empress Tia and her unofficial disciple, Hailac.
Davis explained his idea again, this time with more detail.
After he finished explaining where he left off, he turned to look at his Void Dust Tree.
"Stella, everything relies on you, even if the grand formation and everything is prepared and bound tight. If you don’t become a powerful tree who should become comparable to an Alpha Exalt at the very least, then this plan could essentially be considered a failure."
"Ah~"
Stella acted scared.
Why was a big responsibility throne on her like this?
All she had to do was create sanctuaries and protect people, and now she had to throw them around too without breaking them apart?
However, she was willing to step up for the sake of the family.
She clenched her small fist, raising it.
"I.. I will become an Alpha Exalt-level tree- somehow~"
"We Void Dust Trees stagnate at the Empyrean Stage as far as I am aware of. I have never heard of an Exalt Stage Void Dust Tree, so I think I could likely evolve into a new race once I finish the third cycle and breakthrough. However, I’m still in the second cycle, so it will take some time, like five years with my current speed and resources."
"No, I think a Void Dust Tree’s bloodline limit is till the Exalt Stage." Fairy Divinacia said politely, "They rarely ever reproduce, and their resources are widely sought even more than my race, causing them to be hunted down to extinction, so even I haven’t seen any Void Dust Tree in all my years of life. If I’m not wrong, their bloodsoul essence and many other parts like roots and their crown are used to make World Rings, strengthen the stability of a pocket realm when used as a core, and even worse, completely refined to aid in the creation of a Domain World to strengthen it greatly."
"...."
Davis’s pupils quivered.
He turned to look at Stella, but she didn’t seem to be worried, but he could tell beyond that calm was a volcano of fury.
His Stella was never one to be kind to humans since she had always been pissed about their rampant destruction of tree lifeforms. She wasn’t kind like Fairy Divinacia, nor her mother Wix, who turned a blind eye. Although she loved humans and witnessed them come to her to seek her fruit as she grew up, she had also witnessed their ugliness.
She would crush all bad humans in a heartbeat without batting a single eyelid.
Still, Davis inwardly sighed.
To think a Void Dust Tree was a resource for the creation of a World Ring.
He knew World Rings were rare, as they contained a spatial realm inside, just like a mini-realm, sometimes having innate formation defenses and even karmic defenses depending on how they were forged and what resource was used.
Handsome Fatty Bjorn had one, and they could sustain themselves with Immortal Crystal Vein Cores as fuel sources.
It had to be known that Davis had never seen a World Ring even among the elites and elders of major powers. It was extremely rare, especially in the Second Layer. This was because imposing a moving world onto reality was really difficult, even if it was within a ring. It tended to infringe on the spatial layers, so upon the holder’s movement, the ring quickly gave out under the pressure of the spatial layers acting upon them like they were curtains being dragged, forming enormous pressure that destroyed the treasure.
He had previously considered finding one and even thought it could go well along with Stella’s sanctuary, but to think he would have to hunt another Void Dust Tree for it.
"What’s a Domain World?" Stella asked softly.
The members here were mostly Divergents; if not, treaded across karmic burden like it was a bridge that needs to be crossed daily, so Davis shared what it was.
"So humans become capable of creating their own mini-realms in the Greater Realm once they reach the World Hegemon Stage? Can they move it?" Stella asked curiously.
"No idea. Have never seen them or read about them." Davis shook his head.
He panned his gaze at the others, but they didn’t seem to have any idea as well.
Fairy Divinacia explained a few things that were already known about them, like only one Domain World could be created by a World Hegemon at a time, and she hasn’t heard of them moving locations either since they were anchored to spatial nodes just like Stella does to her mini-realm.
"Mhm, this is bad. What use do I have if my racial ability is no longer rare anymore?"
Stella finally appeared worried.
Mingzhi giggled, "I don’t think any other race is capable of shifting from one mini-realm to another in a single moment. That’s an escape technique devil cultivators would cry for. I bet this ability will be powerful in the Exalt Stage. Only one more cycle to go. Don’t give up~"
"..." Stella could only reluctantly nod.
She worriedly gazed at Davis, wondering if he would still keep her around and be only in her space, in her sanctuary. She could always feel him within her root network, which practically connected to every part of this sanctuary. She didn’t want him to go elsewhere.
’Definitely not to my mother’s...’
She couldn’t help but wonder how much progress he had made with her mother, the Void Dust Empress.
However, only Davis could tell that he hadn’t made any progress with the Fairy Wix actively avoiding him. He could only imagine that Fairy Wix wanted to obtain her master, Saintess Lunaria’s permission before engaging with him. He was not surprised since Fairy Wix held immense respect for her master, after all. Since he was also busy, he let her be.
Nonetheless, Davis could tell what Stella was thinking since he knew how possessive she was and thought that if she didn’t work hard, she was useless, which seemed to be some kind of common apprehension among Void Dust Trees since, as much as they required a ridiculous amount of resources from their gardener, they tended to give back more.
With that being the case, he secretly offered a promise to help her evolve, making her purple eyes glint playfully.
After discussing more details about the plan and its feasibility, since it would require a massive amount of resources, he turned his attention to Ophirya Kaelis and Tia.
"Alright, our alliance’s two talented karmic prodigies are also here. They will let us know how to better protect this new continent. While we take care of the physical aspects, they will make sure no bad karma can trace back to us."
"..."
Ophirya Kaelis could only wryly smile.
All the ideas she had come to present had shattered because erecting a karmic defense formation for a continent was one thing, and then erecting a karmic defense formation for a mini-realm that nearly encapsulated a continent in its grasp to be able to blip across space was another.
However, Ophirya and Tia’s gazes clashed fiercely.
What they might have to say next might prove who was the best Karmic Guardian in this decade.
