Chapter 1735: Ruler of Eden

Chapter 1735: Ruler of Eden

Sia entered the forbidden region without any hesitation.

"Wait!"

Sarah's shout didn't even fully ring before Enigma followed.

Isadora and Sarah looked at each other, the same helplessness surfacing on their tense faces.

Even though the battle seemed to end, what if their sudden entry reverses the situation?

It'd be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

"They feel his win from the connection." Isadora said.

"It's only a feeling, it can be wrong." Sarah shook her head and then chuckled. "No wonder he loves them like that."

Isadora leaped into the region, leaving behind her teasing words. "They feel the same about you, first wife."

"That I am!" Sarah joined them.

Aurora bit her lip and then sighed. Steeling her heart, she turned around and left.

The forbidden region of life was lifeless.

A blanket of dust enveloped the sky and a scent of death lingered in the air. No forests were spared. No mountains remained unchanged.

The rivers were now polluted with death essence and the soil itself reeked of that hostile power.

The worst part was that all life, including the unborn, were killed. Their bodies had been broken into the purest of life essence and drained away.

The place was barren, desolate and cursed.

Sia didn't care about this. Neither did Enigma.

They stared at the man in white clothes, looking down at some…one?

Hades, now smashed into an inhumane form, wriggled as he tried to move.

"Don't bother." Varian said, with neither hatred nor excitement. "It's over."

The king of undead remained silent for a moment before asking in a broken voice. "W-what's going to…happen?"

Varian let out a deep sigh. He too was badly injured by the final blow.

He only looked fine, but he couldn't even move now. Of course, he's vastly better than the dying Hades.

The dying man closed his eyes. "As an Undead, I hate you. But the rationality I carry from my living period is silent."

"The path will remain. But I will draw the lines." Varian declared in a casual tone.

Hades laughed. It was a bitter laugh. "Ruler of Eden, I hope you keep your word. Don't sever the path."

Varian paused at that address.

'O Eternal Ruler of Eden.'

"Some ground rules will be laid out. I won't intervene more than needed." Varian said.

"The Throne…it will suit you more." Hades' power plummeted and even his soul began to break down.

Varian looked at the palace floating far away, still suppressed by the forbidden region. "I won't touch his throne until I kill him."

"He's dead…I even had his throne. He didn't come because he's dead."

"God Emperor…" Varian slowly beckoned to his wives. They quickly supported him. "He didn't become he didn't care. There is no throne worthy of him."

Hades froze and then let out a bitter laugh. In despair, the king of undead dissolved into bright red particles, leaving behind a few items, including a storage ring.

With great strain, Varian retrieved the information slip from Hades' storage ring.

The forbidden region sprung to action, absorbing every bit of the dead divine ranker. And soon, it began to rain.

It wasn't water that's raining. It was vitality itself.

Forests quickly sprang up. The waters were purified. The soil was fertile again.

From the sky and earth, primeval creatures were being born. Soon, they'd birth descendants and populate the entire region.

"Our next time here, this will be back to being a beautiful picnic spot." Holding Varian's arm, Sia said.

"Do you want to rest here or at home?" Enigma asked softly.

Varian shook his head and raised the slip. "I will have to study this. It's been twelve hours since I healed Aurora. The safe time is up. I don't know when things could go wrong."

"Wait," Isadora paused. "Where is Aurora?"

Sarah was the last to enter. But she too forgot. "I…didn't notice her."

"Let's go back first."

Meanwhile, a battle also ended somewhere else.

"Ahhhh!"

Lord Rakz lost to 'Varian'.

"Why? Why do you have so many paths? Why are you so strong?" The prodigy of Nexus was driven to despair.

All the treasures he used were dealt with. And he's now left powerless.

Varian's clone didn't bother to respond to this fool. Conjuring a crimson saber of death, it swung against Rakz.

"Spare me! N-Nexus and you are alli—"

Rakz was cleaved into two and the crimson aura burned every bit of his body into ashes.

The clone turned in a direction and said in a soft voice. "Take all the treasures you need from the palace. It's in the forbidden region of life. And there is also a secret chamber behind the throne room. You should be able to reach high rank 2 with its help."

With those words, the clone dissolved.

Asherah appeared a second later, a complicated expression on her face. She couldn't help Varian against Hades. So, she wanted to at least help his clone against Rakz.

Who'd have thought that Lord Rakz, who's reached the very edge of low rank 2, with multiple treasures, could still not win against Varian's clone.

And this was while Varian was fully focused on the battle against Hades.

In all of Eden, except for Hades, Asherah, Ophion and the missing Equilius, Rakz was the strongest.

The number five of Eden lost to a clone that wasn't even trying.

'He reminds me of God Emperor.' Asherah sighed and headed to the forbidden region.

To give her the palace, Varian should've won against Hades. And he won this battle in a weakened state.

After he recovers, no, even if he didn't recover, who could defeat him?

'There is no one stronger.'

Only then did Asherah realize the full significance of this battle.

'I cannot defeat him. So, Genesis is in his hands. Mors too.

The only variable is Nexus' Ophion. He should be able to reach high rank 2 soon. But by then, Varian would also recover.

And Jai…Jai has fallen.

Who's left? What's left?

It's over. The power struggles has ended.

Eden now has a ruler.'
