Chapter 1049:- "I want you to experience the same pain."
Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049:- "I want you to experience the same pain."
"Are you angry, Aditya?" Victor asked with a mocking smirk.
Aditya took a step forward. Despite the cultivation difference between them, Aditya wasn’t the least bit afraid of Victor.
Seeing this victor, also took a step forward.
Both of them stood just a meter away from each other.
"You want to kill me?" Victor asked with a mocking smile.
"I will give you the same death you gave to my soldiers," Aditya replied in an ice-cold tone.
But hearing this, Victor laughed out loud. To him, his threats sounded more like a joke than any threat.
Kill him in the Main Continent, where his cultivation wasn’t suppressed, what a joke!
This wasn’t the six continents where Aditya could dominate any cultivator and win. This was the Main Continent.
Victor then stopped smiling and seriously looked at Aditya. "My desire to make you miserable is 1 billion times stronger than you desire to kill me."
He then began walking around Aditya without a hint of fear that Boris or Harrington could attack him at any moment.
The reason he wasn’t afraid is that he was also a peak 7th-order cultivator. Not to mention, he did not come here to mock Aditya without a plan.
The only person who could kill him here was Boris, who was stronger than him. But he wasn’t afraid.
"You see, I wanted to kill you."
"But every time I tortured one of your soldiers, listened to them scream your name, hoping that you would somehow magically appear in front of me and save them, I began to have this thought."
Victor looked at the three goddesses standing not so far away from Aditya and continued.
"What if instead of killing you, I kill your most loved ones before your eyes?"
Booom!!!
Aditya unleashed his terrifying killing intent on Victor. But Victor was so strong that his killing intent barely did anything.
Victor did not feel suffocated, threatened or pressured.
He then stopped walking around and looked at Aditya. Even his expression became very serious and cold.
"Killing you is easy, Aditya."
If Victor truly wanted to, he could have ended it right there. Even with everyone present in the room, he believed he had a real chance of killing Aditya. But that was not what he wanted. Ending it in a single moment would be far too simple. It would take away all the meaning behind the revenge he had been waiting for all this time.
He slowly took out a cigar and lit it, taking a long, deep puff before exhaling the smoke straight toward Aditya. There was no hurry in his actions, no urgency in his expression. Everything about him showed that he was enjoying this moment.
"Killing you would be easy... but I want you to feel this first."
"I want you to experience the same pain."
"You must feel everything I went through."
"What makes you think you can walk out of this place alive?" The Goddess of War asked in a cold tone while pointing the tip of her spear towards Victor. From the beginning, she noticed his hatred for Aditya.
She has been meaning to ask Aditya about this. But unexpectedly, Victor returned after leaving with the nobles.
But Victor looked very relaxed.
"Because this is Aditya’s revenge. He will get his chance to take revenge on me in this Civil War."
Victor then looked at Aditya.
"You must hate me as much as I hate you. No, actually, I hate you more."
"The very reason I am fighting the Civil War is so that I can get my hands on you. If you want the same, you know where I will be fighting." Victor then turned around and started walking away.
The Doddess of War, despite wanting to kill him, did not act.
Even Boris and Harrington did not act despite their anger. Although everything he said was directed towards Aditya, but those two grandfathers felt very angry.
Victor stopped at the entrance and then spoke without turning around. "I will be waiting for you. Don’t make me wait."
Aditya did not speak. He stared at the receding back of Victor until his back was completely gone from his view.
He then looked down and gently picked up one of the skulls.
’You all shouted my name when you needed me the most. I couldn’t be there to save you.’
’The least thing that I can do for you all is give him the most painful death imaginable.’ The only thing that was holding Aditya back was his low cultivation.
He knew that if he went against the current Victor with his current cultivation, then even with all kinds of boosts in his stats, he still would not stand a chance against him.
"Are you right?" Athena touched his left shoulder and asked him in a very gentle tone.
"I am!" With that, Aditya looked at everyone else who remained at the funeral.
Aditya took a long, deep breath to calm himself. Right now, he knew he could not lose his calm or focus. Otherwise, he will end up losing everything.
After a moment of silence, Aditya regained his calm. But that was only on the surface. Deep down, the rage from earlier was still there.
"Thank you for telling me the truth." Duke Cassian approached Aditya to thank him.
If not for Aditya revealing the truth to him in the Spiritual World, he would have never known what had really happened. The mysterious Organisation was the one responsible for his brother’s death, and the most shocking part of all was that Emperor Ren was nothing more than a puppet under their control.
In truth, Duke Cassian had gone to his brother’s bedroom that day to discuss the rising political tension within the Celestial Dragon Empire and the growing threat of civil war. He also planned to tell his brother about his meeting with the exiled Crown Prince and the former Emperor in the spiritual world. He planned to discuss everything with his brother and, together, form an opinion on whether to support Aditya or stay out of this civil war.
But when he entered the room, he found his brother already dead. For a moment, it felt like he was about to lose his mind. Shock, anger, and disbelief rushed through him all at once, almost pushing him over the edge.
It was only then that he remembered his meeting with Aditya, along with the warning he had given him. Aditya had clearly said that his brother’s name was on the list of people the Organisation planned to eliminate. Unfortunately, at that time, Cassian had not taken those words as seriously as he should have.
And now it had become the biggest and most painful regret of his life.
Cassian knew that he could never let go of this regret in life.
"Don’t mention it. I honestly did not want him to die." Even Aditya did not expect the Organisation to target General Nico William this early. In his mind, they would have focused on other targets first, people whose deaths would create a slower and more controlled impact. But this move showed that their plans did not always follow a predictable pattern.
It was almost impossible to understand how the Organisation operated. Their decisions, their timing, and their targets often made no clear sense from the outside. Aditya did not even know what kind of person their leader truly was, or what kind of thinking guided such actions.
Still, one thing was certain. The Organisation was more powerful than any Empire on this planet. With over a million years of existence, Leo had accumulated countless hidden trump cards. Almost every major enemy Aditya had faced so far had some connection to the Organisation.
"I am sorry for your loss."
Aditya remained silent. He did not respond, nor did he acknowledge the words in any way. To him, those words meant nothing. Sorry was not what he needed. It would not change anything. What he wanted was far more brutal.
He wanted to hear Victor scream. He wanted that man to experience the same kind of pain that he gave his soldiers before killing them.
At that moment, Aditya hated himself. For the first time in a long time, he truly hated his own weakness. Back in the Six Continents, he had never felt like this. He had always been in control. He always stood at the very top of the mountain. But here, on the Main Continent, everything was different. The gap between him and others was like the difference between Heaven and Earth.
If he had been stronger today, Victor would not have walked out of that funeral alive. The only thing that would have returned to the Night Rider Sect would have been his severed head, and that would have been only after he was done playing.
He could not use the system to upgrade his cultivation all the way to 7th-order either. He kept the system’s existence a secret. If he suddenly became this powerful, he had no excuse to give to anyone.
