Chapter 1050:- Returning to Second Home

Chapter 1050: Chapter 1050:- Returning to Second Home

Aditya Bainnith deeply stared at the skulls for a few seconds before he kneeled down to gently put all the skulls in his storage ring.

"I still can’t understand who Aditya killed to make Victor hate him so much," Rin asked out loud.

"A while back, I killed some students of the Night Rider Sect who were being arrogant and disrespectful in my own Dragon Palace. Maybe one of those students has very close ties to him."

"Actually, as far as I am concerned, Victor is an Elder of the Night Rider Sect, but despite being an Elder, he has taken no students. He is probably the only Elder I have seen who has never taken a disciple." The man who replied wasn’t Duke Cassian, but Aditya’s uncle, Wahid Harrington.

Aditya watched as Wahid stepped forward and walked up to Aditya.

"My dear nephew, the reason I know this about Victor is that among all the Elders from all the Cultivation Sects, he is the only one who has set the most difficult exam. Only those that clears this exam can be his disciple. But the exam is impossible to clear."

Aditya and Athena were both surprised. They had assumed that because Aditya had killed some disciples of the Night Rider Sect in the past, Victor was holding a grudge. But it turns out the man had no disciples at all.

"At most, he fulfils his duties as the Sect Elder. He occasionally teaches the general disciples, giving them tips about cultivation. Sometimes he goes on missions with disciples or alone. The only reason he became a Sect Elder is that he managed to reach Peak 7th-order."

"Grandpa, do you know anything?" Aditya looked at his two grandfathers and asked.

"In my time, the Night Rider Sect did not exist as it does today. It rose from the ruins of an Empire known as the Lunar Empire. Within that Empire, the most powerful individuals secretly formed an organisation called the Night Walker

. Their goal was simple but dangerous. They wanted to control the entire Empire from the shadows without anyone realising what was happening."

"By the time the final Emperor of the Lunar Empire came to power, the situation had already begun to collapse. After fighting a long and exhausting war against the Chimera Shadow Sect, the Emperor became weak and vulnerable. The war had lasted for 208 years, draining the Empire of its strength and resources. To continue fighting, the Emperor was forced to borrow massive amounts of wealth from us and other neighbouring allies. By then, the Empire was already standing on its last legs."

"At its weakest moment, everything came to an end in a single night. The Empire fell from within. What replaced it was no longer an Empire, but the Night Walker organisation, which changed its name to Night Rider Sect."

"Victor wasn’t one of its founding members." Boris basically told Aditya the history of the Night Rider Sect.

"From time to time, the sect kept sending their disciples to attack certain Kingdoms or Empires within the Six Continents, mainly to steal resources and also to train the young disciples of their Sect." Now Aditya understood why the Night Rider Sect destroyed Lara’s homeland.

Aditya had a long and painful history with this Sect. His first encounter with them was not something he could ever forget. It was the moment he learned that his wife’s parents had been killed, along with countless others, and that the entire Great Starry Sky Empire had been wiped out by their hands. That was where everything began.

After that, things only got worse. Members of the Sect’s disciples had come looking for him, not for any meaningful purpose, but simply to humiliate him. They treated him with disrespect, looking down on him as if he were nothing. And he responded by having them all but one killed.

And now, it had reached this point. One of their Elders had captured and tortured fifty-nine of his soldiers to death without showing any mercy. This was no longer just a past grudge or a distant conflict. It had become something personal.

The debt of blood and humiliation must be repaid with blood.

"We will be taking our leave for now. Tonight, be sure to come after sunset." Then the entire group used teleportation to reach the mansion of the Harrington family. It was a really large mansion.

The size of the mansion was almost twice that of the William family’s.

Aditya wasn’t in the mood to check everything.

"Aditya, take some rest." Harrington realised that his grandson needed some time alone. The only people who could really comfort him at this moment were the women around him.

"I will call you to the living room shortly."

Harrington then called a maid.

"Take my grandson to his bedroom." Words cannot explain just how much happiness and joy are held in that sentence. After such a long time, Harrington had finally reunited with his grandson and brought him home.

Aditya looked at Harrington, hearing this.

"Yes, this is the same bedroom where you stayed when you used to visit and spend the night here." Even after all those years, Harrington did not allow anyone to use that bedroom. The only time someone entered the bedroom was for cleaning and changing the bedsheets.

" Grandpa, I have a request."

Hearing his grandson finally ask him for something, Harrington was overjoyed.

"Ask anything." Harrington thought that Aditya wanted something that would make his stay here comfortable.

But Aditya did not want that, especially not in this moment.

"I want you to send all the remains of my soldiers back to my empire. I can’t send Alfred because I need him to stay here for the next phase of the plan." The thing that he felt that was needed to be completed was to give the soldiers a proper burial.

Instead of carrying their skulls in his storage ring, it was better to give them a proper burial and inform their families of their unfortunate demise.

"Sure, I will send my most trusted man to carry out this job."

"In that case, I would also write a letter to my Prime Minister about what things I need him to do in my absence."

Aditya wanted to make sure that the families of the fallen soldiers were properly taken care of. To him, compensation was not about giving a few hundred or even a few thousand gold coins. That would be meaningless compared to the sacrifice that had been made. What he wanted was something far greater. He wanted each family to receive enough wealth so that they would not have to worry about money for the next five centuries.

In his mind, this was not just compensation. It was a lifetime settlement. It was a way to ensure that the families of those who had given their lives would never struggle because of that loss. He wanted them to live with dignity, without fear of the future.

At the same time, he also wanted the entire Empire to acknowledge their sacrifice. He planned to declare a day of mourning across the Empire, where everyone would remember the fallen soldiers.

"Also, I need another thing."

"Go on" but Harrington felt like he could already guess what his grandson wanted.

"I need information about the Night Rider Sect."

"I already have the basic information about the Sect, so that is not what I am looking for. What I need now is something more detailed and useful."

"I want precise information about the location of the Sect. I need to know where they are based and how their territory is structured. Along with that, I need full details about the defensive barriers they use, how they function, and how strong they are."

"And most importantly, I want complete information on every major powerhouse within the Sect. Their strengths, their roles, and their capabilities. I want to know exactly who I am dealing with." In short, Aditya needed information on every single thing about that sect.

"Consider it as done." The Harrington faction had a strong intelligence network, which was independent from the intelligence network of the emperor.

Not to mention, Harrington himself personally visited that place a few thousand years back when a disciple of the sect tried to mess with Aditya’s mother. So he knew the inside and outside of that place very well.

If it’s necessary, he was even willing to make a trip to that place so that his grandson could get the most accurate information.

"If you are planning to attack that place, you can’t do it alone." After the funeral, the lunatic Harrington was itching for some action. Not just some action, he wanted to tear some people apart.

"For now, we will focus on tonight’s meeting. As for that Sect, I will deal with them later." Because Aditya alone could not decide how the civil war would be fought, who would make the first move, or when it would begin. But they could still discuss possible strategies against the Emperor in tonight’s meeting.
