Chapter 1122:- Uncomfortable Revelations

Chapter 1122: Chapter 1122:- Uncomfortable Revelations

Aditya slowly walked to the head of the long dining table before taking his seat, facing every noble leader gathered inside the hall. The seat had been reserved exclusively for him, symbolising not only his position as the leader of the Anti-Emperor Faction but also the man whom everyone present hoped would soon ascend the Imperial Throne.

On either side of him sat the three pillars of the Harrington Faction.

To his right were Boris and Wahid.

To his left sat Malakor Harrington.

The moment Aditya took his seat, everyone else followed suit, sitting down one after another. The lively conversations that had filled the dining hall moments earlier instantly came to an end, and a solemn silence settled over the room. Every pair of eyes was now focused on the young man seated at the head of the table.

“There are several things that I would like to address tonight.” Aditya’s calm voice echoed throughout the spacious dining hall as his gaze slowly swept across every noble leader present.

Despite being the youngest person in the room by an overwhelming margin, not a single person dared show even the slightest hint of contempt or disrespect toward him.

That respect had not been given to him simply because he was a member of the Imperial Family. Nor was it because he carried the bloodline of the Celestial Dragon Empire’s Royal House. If anything, most of his achievements had come after he had been exiled.

Everything that earned him the admiration of those seated before him had been accomplished through his own abilities, his own leadership, and his own strength. From building the Istarin Empire into a powerful nation to repeatedly overcoming impossible odds, surviving countless assassination attempts, defeating powerful enemies, and recently destroying both the Night Rider Sect and the Chimera Shadow Sect, every accomplishment belonged solely to Aditya himself.

No one in this hall respected him because of his surname. They respected him because he had proven, time and time again, that he possessed the qualities worthy of becoming Emperor.

“First of all, let us talk about what happened in Axel City a few days ago.” The moment Aditya spoke those words, the atmosphere inside the dining hall became solemn once again.

Every noble leader immediately focused their full attention on him. This was the moment they had all been waiting for.

Until now, everything they knew about the attack had come from reports, rumours, and information gathered by their own intelligence networks. Finally, they were about to hear the complete truth directly from the man who had experienced the attack firsthand.

“It was a carefully planned and well-coordinated operation carried out under the orders of Emperor Ren.”

The hall instantly became quieter. “My cousin, Ren, is a member of a secret organisation known as the Tomb of Black Tomb.”

The revelation immediately shocked everyone present.

Expressions of surprise and disbelief appeared on almost every face. Some nobles unconsciously frowned, while others exchanged uncertain glances with one another. A few had never even heard the name of such an organisation before.

However, Aditya paid no attention to their reactions and calmly continued his explanation. “I have been fighting against this organisation longer than anyone else in this Empire. Because of that, I know more about it than anyone present.”

“The Tomb of Black Tomb is a secret organisation whose influence extends almost everywhere. They have hidden members and informants spread across countless regions, allowing them to gather information and carry out operations without attracting suspicion.”

“The reason our mansion exploded was that the organisation used its lowest-ranking members to deliver explosives hidden inside ordinary gift boxes. Those people always worked as servants of the Mansion, so no one suspected them. When we learned the truth, it was already too late.” The hall fell completely silent.

With such a detailed explanation and such solid evidence, no one believed Aditya was fabricating the story. Instead, many of the nobles finally understood how such a heavily protected mansion could have been destroyed from within without anyone noticing beforehand.

“Unfortunately,” Aditya said in a calm but slightly heavy tone, “we discovered their method too late.” That single sentence answered one of the biggest mysteries that had troubled everyone since the attack.

At last…

They finally understood how the Harrington Family’s mansion had been reduced to ruins in a single devastating explosion.

“Night Rider Sect Leader Sophia and Victor were both core members of this organisation.”

Aditya paused briefly before continuing. “The other known core members include my cousin, Ren and…”

His gaze slowly shifted toward Duke Ferdinand. “…your brother, Michael Carrick.”

The moment those words left Aditya’s mouth, Duke Ferdinand’s body stiffened.

His expression froze.

Although he had long considered Michael his enemy, he had never imagined that his own brother had been secretly working for such a terrifying organisation.

The revelation came so suddenly that, for several moments, he did not know how to react.

“When I first entered the Dragon Mountain Range, your brother attempted to kill me along with everyone accompanying me.” Aditya’s expression remained completely indifferent as he calmly continued recounting the incident.

“Fortunately, we managed to kill him instead.” There wasn’t even the slightest trace of remorse in his voice. Why would he regret killing a man who had openly tried to murder him and the women by his side? To Aditya, Michael’s death had simply been the natural consequence of his own actions.

As Ferdinand silently listened, countless memories began surfacing in his mind. For years, one question had always troubled him. How had Michael, who had once possessed only ordinary talent and limited influence, suddenly acquired such enormous wealth?

How had he obtained so many precious cultivation resources? How had he managed to collect numerous powerful artifacts that even some ancient noble houses struggled to acquire? No matter how much Ferdinand had investigated in the past, he had never been able to find a satisfactory answer.

Now…

Everything finally made sense.

His brother had never obtained those opportunities through luck or his own abilities. The Tomb of Black Tomb had been supporting him all along.

The organisation had secretly supplied him with wealth, cultivation resources, and powerful artifacts, allowing him to rise far beyond what should have been possible through his own means.

Realising this, Ferdinand slowly clenched his fists beneath the table. The final piece of the puzzle had finally fallen into place.

He did not hate Aditya for killing his brother. Rather, he was relieved that he wasn’t the one who had to kill his brother. Given their different interest and hatred for one another, it was certain they both would have fought to the death. Fortunately, His Majesty made things easier for him.

“There are still many things that all of you do not know. However, I believe you deserve to know them before the civil war begins.” The atmosphere inside the dining hall instantly became even more solemn.

Every noble leader unconsciously straightened their posture as they fixed their eyes on Aditya. No one interrupted him. No one whispered to the person beside them.

They listened with complete concentration.

The information Aditya was about to reveal would directly influence the future of the Empire and, consequently, the future of every noble house sitting in this hall. If they were going to stake their families, territories, and generations of accumulated wealth on the coming civil war, then they deserved to know the complete truth.

“The Imperial Crown of the Celestial Dragon Empire… and the Imperial Throne… do not recognise my cousin as the rightful Emperor.” A ripple of shock spread throughout the hall.

“He cannot wear the true Imperial Crown upon his head. Nor can he sit upon the true Imperial Throne.”

Before anyone had the chance to ask a question, Aditya continued.

“It was with the assistance of the Tomb of Black Tomb that he forged replicas of both the Imperial Crown and the Imperial Throne. Those replicas were created to deceive the entire Empire into believing that he had been acknowledged by the true Imperial Treasures.”

The revelation left every noble stunned. For such a long time, they had all believed that Emperor Ren had legitimately inherited the Imperial Crown and Throne after ascending to power. None of them had ever questioned their authenticity.

Yet now, Aditya was telling them that the symbols of Imperial authority they had been bowing before all this time were nothing more than carefully crafted imitations designed to fool the entire Empire.

Aditya’s words left many of the noble leaders with dark expressions. Some slowly clenched their fists beneath the table, while others frowned deeply.

If everything Aditya had just revealed was true, then they had unknowingly been bowing their heads for years before a man whom the true Imperial Crown or the true Imperial Throne had never acknowledged.

To the nobles of the Celestial Dragon Empire, this was more than simple deception.

It was humiliation.

The Imperial Crown and the Imperial Throne were sacred symbols of the Empire. They represented the will of the Empire itself and acknowledged only the person they deemed worthy of becoming Emperor. Every noble had grown up believing that anyone capable of wearing the true Crown and sitting upon the true Throne had received the Empire’s approval.

Yet now, they had learned that the man they had sworn loyalty to had been sitting on nothing more than a carefully crafted imitation. Even worse, they had unknowingly shown respect to a fake Crown and a fake Throne for years.

The more they thought about it, the angrier they became. Several noble leaders felt as though Emperor Ren had not only deceived the entire Empire but had also insulted the dignity and history of the Imperial Family itself.

To forge replicas of the Empire’s greatest treasures, and then to sit upon a counterfeit throne while pretending to possess Heaven’s acknowledgement, Such an act was nothing short of blasphemy in their eyes.

For many of them, this revelation completely changed how they viewed Emperor Ren. Until today, some still believed that although Ren was ruthless and ambitious, he had at least become Emperor through legitimate means.

Now that belief had completely collapsed. If Aditya’s words were true, then Ren had never been the rightful Emperor from the very beginning. He had ruled the Empire while wearing a lie upon his head and sitting upon another beneath him.
