Chapter 1121:- Banquet Of Anti-Emperor Faction
Chapter 1121: Chapter 1121:- Banquet Of Anti-Emperor Faction
Axel City,
That night, every Noble House supporting Aditya gathered at the Harrington Family’s residence for what they believed would be an important strategic meeting.
To their surprise, the gathering turned out to be a banquet.
The unexpected arrangement immediately put everyone in a much lighter mood. After everything that had happened over the past several days, sharing a meal together before discussing the future of the Anti-Emperor Faction was a welcome change. Naturally, not a single person voiced any complaints.
Following the destruction of the Harrington Family’s original mansion during the recent attack, the entire family had temporarily moved into another luxurious mansion that they had purchased within Axel City.
Although it was somewhat smaller than their original residence, it was still spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all of the noble house leaders and elders. The grand dining hall, in particular, had more than enough room to host tonight’s banquet without feeling crowded.
Meanwhile, work on rebuilding the Harrington Family’s original mansion was progressing at an astonishing pace.
Thousands of workers laboured day and night without stopping, while numerous elemental cultivators assisted with the reconstruction. Earth elemental cultivators rapidly raised walls and foundations, fire elemental cultivators refined and strengthened construction materials, while water and wind elemental cultivators helped accelerate various stages of the building process. Thanks to the assistance of cultivators, the reconstruction was progressing many times faster than ordinary construction.
At the current rate, the entire mansion was expected to be completed within the next seven to ten days.
By then, all of the custom-made furniture, decorations, and interior furnishings would also be ready, allowing the Harrington Family to move back into their ancestral residence as though nothing had ever happened.
At that moment, all of the leaders and representatives of the noble houses supporting Aditya were already seated around the enormous dining table that stretched across almost the entire length of the grand dining hall.
Although dozens of seats were occupied, a few prominent chairs at the head of the table remained empty. Those seats had been reserved for Wahid, Malakor Harrington, Boris, and finally the most important person of the evening, the future Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Aditya.
Every noble house had arrived just before sunset. Not a single person dared to be late. As the final rays of sunlight disappeared beyond the horizon and darkness slowly blanketed Axel City, the last of the guests took their seats.
Unlike the previous gathering, however, the mood inside the hall was completely different.
The anxious and worried expressions that had filled everyone’s faces after the attack on Axel City were nowhere to be seen.
Instead, there was a noticeable sense of excitement lingering in the air.
The leaders of every noble house had already received the shocking news that had spread throughout the Main Continent. They knew exactly what had happened to the Night Rider Sect and the Chimera Shadow Sect.
Only a few days earlier, they had been deeply concerned about the future of the Anti-Emperor Faction. The surprise attack on Axel City had dealt them a severe blow, leaving many of them wondering whether they still stood a realistic chance of winning the upcoming civil war.
Yet, before those worries could fully settle in their hearts, the Harrington Faction had responded with overwhelming force.
In the span of only a few hours, they had destroyed two powerful cultivation sects that openly supported Emperor Ren.
Such an astonishing display of strength had completely restored the confidence of everyone sitting in the hall. For the first time since the attack on Axel City, many of the noble leaders genuinely believed that defeating Emperor Ren in the coming civil war was no longer an impossible dream.
“I wonder what kind of reaction Emperor Ren had when he learned that both the Night Rider Sect and the Chimera Shadow Sect were destroyed by His Majesty Aditya.” One of the noble house leaders said with an amused smile while raising his wine glass.
“Oh, I would have paid millions of platinum coins just to witness the expression on his face.”
“I don’t think millions would be enough.” Another noble laughed. “After losing two of his strongest allies in a single day, I wouldn’t be surprised if His Majesty Ren shattered half the furniture in the Imperial Palace.”
“Hahaha!”
The entire hall erupted into laughter.
“I can already imagine one of his ministers reporting the second piece of news.” An elderly noble chuckled while pretending to imitate a frightened messenger. “‘Your Majesty… we have another urgent report.'”
“‘What is it now?'”
“‘The Chimera Shadow Sect has also fallen.'”
“Hahahahaha!”
Several nobles laughed so hard that they nearly spilt the wine in their cups.
“One sect after another.” Another elder shook his head while smiling. “Emperor Ren probably thought the first report was a nightmare. Then the second report arrived before he even had time to recover.”
“Imagine spending years building alliances only to watch them disappear within a single day.”
“That must have hurt.”
“It certainly did.” Another noble raised his cup with a broad grin. “The Emperor’s faction has suffered a tremendous loss this time. Even if they still possess many powerful experts, losing two cultivation sects that openly supported them is enough to shake the confidence of countless neutral forces.”
The atmosphere inside the dining hall became increasingly lively.
Only a few days earlier, the same people had gathered with heavy hearts, uncertain about the future and worried about whether they could even survive the coming civil war.
Now, however, everything had changed.
Laughter echoed throughout the hall as the noble leaders chatted with one another, exchanged jokes, and enjoyed the banquet. The overwhelming victories against the Night Rider Sect and the Chimera Shadow Sect had greatly boosted everyone’s morale, replacing anxiety with confidence.
For the first time since the attack on Axel City, genuine optimism could be seen on almost every face. The nobles finally felt that victory in the civil war was no longer a distant dream but a realistic possibility.
Click!!!
The large doors to the dining hall slowly opened.
“Ladies and gentlemen. I hope we did not make you wait too long.”
The familiar voice immediately drew everyone’s attention toward the entrance. The person who stepped into the hall first was none other than Wahid.
The moment the noble leaders saw him, every conversation inside the hall came to an abrupt stop. For a brief moment, the entire dining hall fell into complete silence. Everyone stared at Wahid with expressions of disbelief.
Wasn’t Wahid supposed to have lost his cultivation? Wasn’t he supposed to be lying in a comatose state after barely surviving the attack on Axel City? Then why was he standing there with a bright smile on his face as though nothing had ever happened?
Several of the older nobles subconsciously rubbed their eyes, wondering if they were seeing an illusion. Others immediately extended their spiritual senses toward Wahid to verify what they were seeing.
The next second, one pair of eyes after another widened in shock.
Mid 7th-order.
Wahid’s cultivation had not only been completely restored…
…it had actually advanced into the Mid-7th-order Realm.
A wave of astonishment instantly swept through the hall. Some nobles stood up from their seats without even realising it, while others looked at one another with expressions filled with confusion and disbelief.
Just a few days ago, every report they had received stated that Wahid had lost his cultivation, suffered catastrophic injuries, and fallen into a comatose state from which he might never awaken.
Yet now…
Not only had every one of those injuries seemingly disappeared, but he had also become significantly stronger than before.
The contradiction was simply too great. Everyone became intensely curious. How had Wahid managed to recover so quickly? Who had healed injuries that even the greatest healers considered almost impossible to cure?
More importantly, how had he broken through into the Mid-7th-order Realm in such a short period of time? For a fleeting moment, a few nobles even wondered whether the reports about Wahid’s injuries had been false from the very beginning.
However, they quickly dismissed that thought.
The Harrington Family had never denied those reports, and too many reliable sources had confirmed them. Even if the news of his injuries had somehow been exaggerated, it still could not explain how Wahid had suddenly become a mid-7th-order powerhouse overnight.
“Everyone. I know all of you have many questions.” Wahid said with a warm smile as he looked around the hall. “But first, let us all take our seats.”
Walking just behind him were Boris and Malakor Harrington. The moment the two dignified old men entered the dining hall, every noble leader and elder immediately rose from their seats in unison.
Not a single person remained seated. No one needed to tell them to stand. They did so out of genuine respect.
One was Boris, the former Emperor who had ruled the Celestial Dragon Empire for more than twenty thousand years and had led it through one glorious era after another. The other was Malakor Harrington, the undisputed leader of the Harrington Faction, a man whose very name had become synonymous with death throughout the Empire.
Their reputations had been forged over countless battlefields and decades of unwavering leadership. The respect they commanded was not born from their status alone. It had been earned through their strength, achievements, and countless contributions to the Empire. Even the leaders of the opposing faction held deep respect for these two legendary figures. No one within the Celestial Dragon Empire would dare show them even the slightest disrespect.
Finally, the last person stepped through the grand doors. Aditya, dressed in his elegant imperial robes, with his long sapphire-blue hair neatly styled behind him, slowly floated into the dining hall with a calm and composed expression.
The moment everyone saw him, every noble present bowed respectfully. Their voices echoed throughout the entire dining hall as they spoke in perfect unison.
“Long live His Majesty, the Future Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire!”
