"what a bummer,the real fun just started yet my big sister wants to ruin it...He is looking completely different man when he gets angry,i always admire this side of yohan"Athena smiled as she looked in the direction of the river shore city,both Maria and kana exchange glances with each other’s after hearing Athena.
This woman was always a mystery to them,two of them didn’t know anything related to her background,they were simply aware that she is Evelyn’s younger sister,other than that they don’t have any clue or information related to her.
"You two...don’t you agree with me,he looks amazing when he gets serious don’t he?"Athena tilted her head and looked at Maria and Kana who were standing there looking in her direction.
"The entire river shore city is at stake,what if he went overboard with his strength and ended up destroying everything he cares or hold dear to his heart,with your carefree attitude you don’t seem to care even if he destroys everything in his path,aren’t you ashamed of yourself afterall you are one of his partner,you should have stopped him from doing anything reckless!"kana exclaimed as she looked Athena while having a furious look in her eyes,she was pissed that Athena is taking everything so lightly despite there are so many things were on the stake,the future of river shore city and the clan that Yohan cherish, everything was on the line.
Maria took a long sigh hearing kana. She can understand why Kana reacted in such a manner but still her words were too harsh towards Athena.
"You are indeed right. Why would I care whether he burns or destroys everything in his path... I only care about Yohan,it’s better this way,if he get rid of his other attachments then he will only be mine,i am going to take him with me where he truly belong,he will have new purpose in his life,a purpose and a goal worthy for the king of all...i shall become his shield and protect him for eternity!"Athena responded to kana while having a different look in her eyes, hearing her words kana was taken aback along with Maria, earlier Maria was not giving much thought knowing these two don’t have on good terms,they dislike each other’s but hearing those words from Athena’s mouth her facial expressions changed.
"What the hell are you talking about..."Kana exclaimed furiously as she looked at Athena,but to her surprise Athena chuckled and simply waved her hand.
"It’s nothing i am just messing around with you,i don’t have such grand plans or anything, moreover that guy loves his family,I am happy as long as he is happy!"Athena added as she moved her gaze in the direction of the river shore city.
Kana clenched her fist,deep down in her heart she knew Athena wasn’t joking or messing around with her,those words that she said were carrying some kind of deeper meaning.
’You should stop,this is not the right time or place to fight amongst ourselves,’Maria’s voice echoed in Kana’s head. Kana took a long sigh as she looked at Maria and nodded her head.
’you are right,she always tries to get on my nerves,once everything resolve here,i will make sure to settled everything between us’kana responded to Maria and with those words she disappeared from that place shortly after,once she left Maria approached Athena and took a seat right next to her.
"Those things you said earlier...you really meant won’t you?"Maria said while looking in the direction of the river shore city,Athena tilted her head in the direction of Maria for a while before moving in the direction of the river shore city.
"The famous alchemist Maria maybringer...the last descendant of ancient maybringer clan,i thought you died long ago,but here you are sitting right next to me...fate is indeed cruel thing,i never thought a day would come when I am going to sit right next to you..."Athena chuckled,a surprise look appeared on Maria’s face but it didn’t last long.
"Well I am not that surprised,you are indeed your mother’s child...I still remember the last time when I met your mother,she is indeed a scary person..."Maria took a pause,Athena tilted her head as she looked into Maria’s eyes.
"You met my mother huh..."she asked.
"Yup...quite a long time ago,your mother is a scary yet strong individual...worthy of being called the Queen of shadows,who runs things from the shadows!"Maria responded.
"Yet you are sitting right next to me still alive,still breathing,i am sure you have some hidden arrangements with her otherwise she is not someone who let anyone live after seeing her face"
"Let’s not dwell into that,i simply want to know what is your intentions with Yohan, knowing your mother she definitely aware about Yohan’s existence and his potential,i am surprised that she didn’t made any move up until now..."maria exclaimed,her facial expressions were serious,seeing her like that Athena took a long sigh.
"Let’s not get into that stuff...you might lose your life!"Athena whispered and the next moment she got up before jumping on the head of the shadow beast.
"Moreover things are about to get messy inside this region,the battle that Yohan is fighting is just a beginning,the real fun is about to begin"Athena added and the next moment she disappeared from that place along with that shadow beast leaving Maria at the edge of the ridge.
