Chapter 724: Smiles That Must Be Protected

“Uhh…” Lotte reluctantly pulled back from hugging the adorable Dim Di—errr, Dimitri. After all, she had come to Alex’s room to style his hair.

Lavinia was very happy. With the fox lady pulling away, she once again regained the monopoly on cuddling the cute boy, who felt both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

Cupid watched this scene while in an invisible state. He was grinning from ear to ear, happy about Dim Dim’s popularity among the ladies.

‘Our plan is perfect,’ Cupid thought. ‘I hope Lily can also do her magic on Eiko.’

The plan the two Gods had hatched was simple. Let Eiko and Dim Dim meet at the party as a surprise.

Earlier, he had transferred a special skill to Dim Dim, allowing the little boy to dance like a professional dancer.

Although the Dim Sum God could dance in its original form, it had no prior experience dancing in his human form.

Fortunately, Cupid was there to remedy this problem. In fact, he had already handed Lily an orb, which she would give to Eiko later, allowing her to learn how to dance as well.

All they needed to do now was bring them to the party.

Though seeing how popular Dim Dim was with the ladies, Cupid wondered how Eiko would react.

Dim Dim and Eiko were best friends. They were very close to each other.

Then again, Cupid and Lily knew that they might be too young to understand what love was.

‘We’ll just cross that bridge when we get there,’ Cupid mused. ‘Let’s just go with the flow for now.’

Half an hour later, Lotte had finished doing Alex’s hair and had moved to applying very light makeup.

“Well then. Please head to the royal palace on one of the carriages that has been prepared for us,” Lotte stated. “Latifa and the others will arrive at a later time.”

“Understood.” Alex nodded. “Let’s go, Lavinia. Dimitri.”

“Okay.” Lavinia nodded. “Let’s hold hands, Dimitri.”

“Yes!” Dim Dim smiled so sweetly that Lavinia and Lotte’s hearts almost melted on the spot.

If not for the fact that Lotte still needed to help Latifa do her finishing touches, she might have accompanied Alex and Dimitri to the royal palace as well.

Lavinia and Dim Dim led the way while holding each other’s hands. Alex was a few steps behind them, looking at this scene with a smile on his face.

For a brief moment, he imagined Lavinia walking side by side with their son, making Alex smile faintly.

That was a very beautiful vision, and Alex hoped it would be reality a few years from now.

When they arrived at the hotel lobby, one more lady fell victim to Dim Dim’s charm.

“W-Who is this kid?!” Nessia, who was wearing a beautiful green dress, lightly cupped and gently squeezed Dim Dim’s adorable cheeks. “What’s your name?”

“Dim—Dimitri,” Dim Dim almost forgot to speak properly after seeing a familiar face.

“What a good name you have.” Nessia planted a kiss on the cute boy’s cheek. “Lavinia, where did you get this child?”

“He’s my baby with Alex,” Lavinia replied with a smile.

“You wish.” Nessia giggled. “But even I wouldn’t mind having a baby if they grow up this cute.”

Alex smirked before resting his hand on Charles’ shoulder. His smile alone was enough for his friend to know what he was thinking.

“Work hard, Charles,” Alex said. “I believe in you.”

Instead of answering, Charles averted his gaze. There was a tinge of redness creeping up on his cheek, which meant that he fully understood what Alex was talking about.

Not wanting to tease his friend any longer, Alex clapped his hands to get his friends’ attention.

“Let’s get ourselves a carriage before more ladies fall for Dimitri’s cuteness,” Alex said. “We must protect his smile and cheeks with everything we have.”

“”Agreed!”” Lavinia and Nessia readily agreed as they walked hand in hand with Dim Dim toward the carriage.

“Hey, is that…” Charles gave Alex the ‘is that Dim Dim?’ gaze.

He was a Void Touched. Someone who defied the laws of the world. Because of this, he could sense the familiar presence Dimitri radiated from his body.

Alex only pressed a finger over his lips, which made Charles nod in understanding.

They then followed the two ladies, who had already boarded one of the carriages that would take them to the royal palace, where a special celebration party was being held for the students of Solara, Faelarun, and Frieden Academy.

When they arrived at the palace, many students had already gathered.

A funny thing happened when Alex entered the main hall.

The Herald standing by the entrance announced his name.

“Sir Alex Stratos of Frieden Academy,” the Herald shouted.

As soon as that announcement sounded, countless gazes immediately landed on Alex. The young man smiled faintly in return and remained calm.

He had gained a bit of fame after winning the Singing King and the Battle Royale. And frankly, the students were a little afraid of him since he could sing both in an angelic voice and a diabolical voice at the same time.

However, their stares didn’t remain in Alex’s direction. They quickly noticed the dazzling little boy who was walking hand in hand with two beautiful ladies.

Seeing the cute boy, who was looking at his surroundings with wonder, the girls couldn’t help but giggle. He just looked so precious in their eyes!

“Would you like to eat something, Dimitri?” Lavinia asked.

“Do you want to drink something?” Nessia asked.

The two ladies had completely forgotten their partners and were focused on taking good care of the little boy in their company.

Although they loved their boyfriends very much, they didn’t know when they would see Dimitri again. Because of this, they were making sure that he would have a wonderful memory of this party.

Suddenly, the Herald standing near the staircase made another announcement.

“Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Kaelen, Princess Aeris, Princess Lapiz of the Kingdom of Fealarun!”

The three royal siblings walked down the stairs, to which everyone applauded their arrival.

In that brief period, Lapiz saw Alex, and their gazes met.

The young man gave Lapiz a wink, while the latter smiled shyly. She even almost gave Alex a small wave, but caught herself before she could do it.

Since the party had started, the three royal children decided to make an appearance and show their presence to everyone.

Though just as Alex and his friends were about to head to the buffet area, the Herald near the door announced someone’s arrival.

“Her Royal Highness, Eiko Von Kaizer, has arrived,” the Herald announced.

The sudden announcement made everyone gaze at the main entrance of the ball.

There, a girl around eight to ten years old entered wearing a blue princess dress. She looked around, looking for someone, when a voice called out to her.

“Eiko!”

Dim Dim hurried towards her side and held her hand. The two smiled before hugging each other.

They then faced the people at the party while radiating sweet and innocent smiles, which made the ladies and even the guys think that the two adorable little kids were a match made in heaven.
